Dashrath's character is becoming worse by the day. 🤬 What are the CVs playing at, making him accuse his wives for their childlessness and willfully breaking the promise he'd made to King Ashvapathi? SP's Dashrath is becoming more and more like their Drupad from Starbharat, when neither were in fact that evil.

In reality, Dashrath was not arrogant nor did he knowingly break his promise to Ashwapathi. He forgot about it over the years, and no one reminded him of it either, like Yudhajeet did here.

In reality, Yudhajeet was not this rude to the family. He was on good terms with them.

Very worthy thread at useless place.we can point out faults at real diamond but what is the use to point faults on fake one. If this show makes mistakes, we can rectify but if show itself is mistake, there is nothing to do. Honestly I had no interest on cast,I watched this show only because it's about Ramayana. Some People claiming that this show meant for Sita's perspective, i'm really sorry. I was also interested much to watch because Sita's perspective. But let me give my POV about Sita's perspective. In real Ramayana, Mata Sita respected as much as Ram. But sadly Ramayana adaptations (movies and soaps) highly ignored Sita's conversation with others. Especially Ram-Sita conversation at two places one before exile and another before Agni Pariksha. Most importantly, Sita's taunt about Ram as woman. Those conversation was note to understand Why Sita is true soul mate? But later adaptations turned Sita character as dumb wife. So I wanted to see Sita's unexplored conversations in this show. But what else I can expect from DKDM crew. In DKDM Ramayana version is unbearable.Raavan and Ram both attending Sita Swayamwar at same time. Ram hands were shivering because he was reluctant to break His Lord bow. Only after Shiv permission, Ram broke it. I won't get surprise, in SKR Sita was very much aware that she can kill Raavan by single slap. She refused to do because jobless Ram destined to do. I agree following completely is uneasy one. In fact Ram married at teen.Ram went exile late 20's.14 years exile and 11000 years as King. But our daily soap Ram was young and fresh from marriage to death. But story was never altered much. They tried their best to show what mentioned in Rama Charita Mqnas. There are shows "Bajrang Bali","Suryaputra Karn",blah, blah, blah , but people don't complaint about that because we know that show intentions are to praise respective characters but this show should have been about Ramayana. If they made show about Sita,I wouldn't complain even if Ram become abusive Husband. Why they bring Ramayana in this picture? I think we don't have to prove Ramayana epic by arguing over SKR. Ramayana has 300 versions and 3000 mocking versions. SKR is 3001th. Rest SKR. This is my opinion,No offense please.

Isn't the sequence of events going wrong or am I seeing too much into this?
Wasnt Ram banished from the kingdom while Bharat was away in Kaikeyi ?

Yesterday's episode has confused me... 🤔

Well there have been many adaptations of Ramayana and it is mentioned in one of them that when Rama was to be crowned king of ayodhya before his exile, both bharat and shatrughan were in kaikeya. So I guess this storyline is going the same direction.

Yes , the one thing I find confusing here is that it was shown that sita goes to maharishi gautams ashram for her studies, but yesterday she said she studied in maharishi yagyavars ashram. I'm a little confused here.

See there are many versions of Ramayan. What is wrong in seeing a new interpretation. Who are we to tell what is right, what is wrong. We didn't live in the Valmiki era or vyasa era. What we know is also hearsay.
For me both Ramayana and Mahabharatha are treasure house of knowledge. The real pride of Sanathana Dharma. Because these books not only encompass the values Sanathana Dharma stands for but has immense scientific knowledge within them in such a way that science is seen through the eyes of spirituality. The pride of Indian culture which is dismissed by world as Indian mythology.
Have you ever thought why even by having more knowledge than the entire scientific world can think of, even after having more than the inspiration the entire personality development books, success mantra books the corporates celebrate these books are given the garb of divinity and kept aside.
In Indian Science Congress someone spoke about Pushpak Viman and India's scientific development during Tetrayug itself. It was laughed at not by the world, but by people within India itself. Have you ever thought why it happens.
Reason is we have not questioned the epics. We have not tried to connect the actions in the epic to the scientific world outside. We can never speak about this epic in a way the rational mind understands. I am a great fan of Indian mythology and my research has been to find the scientific laws hidden inside the Indian mythology which I am sure it has. Some of the things I have been able to reach conclusion. But still there is a long way to go. But the language I speak to anyone who questions Indian mythology is this
- Every action has an equal and opposite reaction says Newton's third law of motion. Basic law of physics
- Your sow what you reap. You pay for your Karma ( Karma means action) - says Bhagavad Gita written 5000 years ago
- Every body continues to be in a state of rest unless otherwise acted upon by an external force - Newton's first law of motion
- Concentrate on action, not on result. The way Krishna holds the direction of Arjuna's action. ( Theme of Bhagavad Gita itself. God holds the direction of man's battle. If he follows his direction without asking question, the result will be positive. For that you need to understand his direction ). Knowledge that is there 5000 years ago
The way Krishna takes the weapon Shakthi from Karna's hand in Mahabharath and the way Dumbledore takes Power from Voldemort's hand in Harry Potter is one and the same( Anybody who has followed me in Mahakumbh forum would know how I had drawn the parallels). Harry Potter celebrated book of JK Rowling, Mahabharath written by some Rishi. Why doesn't the stores explode or the children don't run to take Mahabharath like Harry Potter. Because again it is mythology.
Inspirational books like Secret, Power. They have nothing more than what Mahabharath or Ramayana can tell you if you sit, try and analyze.
I have no animosity to anyone who see these books as divine. But as an ardent lover of Indian culture, as a proud Indian I want the most celebrated books of my land to be the celebrated books in the world. If Harry Potter is read in India, I also want the kids of other countries to read Ramayan and Mahabharath, understand the life lessons in them.
So my take is if a show is showing a different perspective let us be open towards it. Try to connect the stories in a logical manner. Sometimes we do learn something new.

@Shruti : hi dear... I have a genuine doubt. I thought you could explain to me. I am sorry I could not reply to your post in the other thread in response to my question only.

Like they showed yesterday that Bharat was leaving for Kaikeyi with Shatrughan, I'm confused with the sequence of events because was this not the time when Kaikeyi tried to manipulate Dashrath into making her son the King while Bharat was away because we all know in his presence, he would have objected!!

But the boys have not grown up fully and neither are they married so when shall this happen. In the swayamvar did only Ram ji go or all brothers ? but since all 4 sisters got married ...i am assuming all 4 went ...😕...so will Bharat return and then again Kaikeyi will send him away to lead the path to banishment of Rama nd Sia from the kingdom !!!

Please sort my confusion.

@neelakshi as per the story I don't know whether Bharat or Shatrugna went to Kekeya before marriage. But what I know is that during Swayamavar only Ram and Lakhan are there. As they reach mithila travelling with sage vishwamitra. And when ram wins the hand of sita, news is send to Ayodhya about the joyous occasion. The family from Ayodhya comes and sage vishwamitra and vashista suggests that the 4 princes marry the 4 princess and the marriage happens.
After that if I am right Bharath and Shatruguna goes to kekeya with their respective spouses and then the coronation mess happens.
But here they are showing a gradual decline in Kaikeyi's character than an impulsive reaction to Manthara in one day. Also her determination to make Bharath a strong administrator par with Ram.
So all I can say is there is a difference in what they are showing and what I have read or heard. I don't think I am a qualified person to call it distorted, because then I will be telling my knowledge about these epics is complete. Because only if you have the complete knowledge you can tell distorted. Else you can only tell it is different from what you know. And frankly speaking for me I regard myself a student of these great epics. What I know very less, what is there to know much more. So I voraciously read, watch every adaptation, every book so that it enriches me as a person.
