i have very little knowledge of Ramayan and the core of the tale, and as this is also a sensitive saga which relates a religion, i will not try to dissect the pros and cons of the story line because it will be inappropriate, hence my post will be about the FICTION we are watching on our TV. Is it worth of our half an hour ? does the set up, execution, flow and concept intrigue us or not /

On whole i will say that yes to some extent the show is gripping, even though leads are yet to grow up and we have to wait for the epic love story , the show is still crispy and holds our attention.

I think my favorite characters will be both the fathers, i like the intelligence and the pride which Ram and Sita's fathers shower on them.

The story progression is also well paced, liking how they are showing the growth of both Ram and Sita parallely . I do have one complain though that Sita is growing in a slow mode whereas Ram has grown up to a man already ? I mean what is the age difference between them ?

Any idea when will Ashish-Madriksha enter ? i think i am becoming impatient 😆

Age difference seems 6 to 7 years for me

Ashish will be there by mid December

..There are many ppl who believe Ramayan to be a beautiful FICTIONAL story and glad to know that you are not hung up on what will be & will not be shown ...

The age difference between Ram and Sita is 8 years. Sita was born when Ram was 8 years old ...that's what they showed in the first episode.

@Dexterrocks good to know that you are watching it as a fiction. But as an avid lover of Indian mythology and the learnings it imparts for a good life, I would request you to watch it not just as a love story, but as a story that teaches you valuable life lessons. And so far CVs have not disappointed me in this area. Because Ramayana is said to be a message from God, through his 7th incarnation. So when you watch it, you should never miss the message whether you see God in it or human in it.

every fiction teaches us something, every fiction has both positive and negative impacts, and i am sure this show will have its share too. I am excited, looking forward to a great show, knowing how Ramayan is one of the major sagas relating hinduism, it intrigues me, i will not judge anything going by the facts they show in this show, but yeah it will be a good learning to know how the infrastructure of the tale was.

As i said, i like the fathers, i like the way they treat their kids, they have the urge and eagerness to make their kids knowledgeable and self dependent which is great IMO .

8 years is okay then . so Sita is 10 and Ram is 18 now ? is that so ?

i missed few parts of the first episode as it was an one hour episode ..

honestly, i am here to watch Ashish, but i take every fiction as as a new beginning . if it intrigues me, i continue otherwise i leave the show.😆 i expect him to over do himself in Rangrasiya , high expectations here 😃

same happened with my favorite actor's show, i mean Rajeev's reporters, i discontinued the show , even after the only man who could make me fangirl was the lead.😭

a month is a lot knowing star plus airs all the show for the whole week ? correct me if i am wrong ..

but yeah we have to wait for the bigger and better parts . till then, i will enjoy the back story ..
