Okay looks like I am having a real hard time catching up with the episodes! I could manage only the first two as of now.

Raj bhoj has been good, Vikramaditya look a bit out of place. Maybe he will take some time to get hold of the scene.

I am sorry if this counts as an MB forum reference, but when I heard Shani dev shouting his lungs out about being 'shresth' and people trying their best to solve the tricky situation , I thought for a moment he will be told-"Aap shresth hain, lekin Surya dev uttam hain"😆

Sorry but my MB hangover might take some time to wear off!

I will probably be kicked off the forum but by God, the main reason I am watching the show is my MB hangover. You are not alone, Sadhana😆

I didnt think of the Shrest and Sarvottam dialogue though. Wish they had said that!

Astronomically speaking shouldnt a planet moving into position between Cancer constellation and Earth be able to cause extreme tidal waves as the jyothishi said?. Not certain about the meteor shower though😆

So while the show is presenting the supernatural, there was very likely a natural phenomenon behind the story. Wish they had looked at it from that angle

Otherwise - Rahu/Jaydrath/Takshak always acts like he just smelled something VERY BAD. Weird!😕. .

well I don't know what that Jyotishi said is true or not but Meteor Shower can end one Yug..you know?...the most acceptable theory for Jurassic era's end is Meteor Shower...and after that a new time start and all the new creatures born..including human..so we can take that meteor shower can be the reason for the end of a Yug.

Rahu has traces of both Jaidrath and Takshak in him

So far, out of all the actors, I like Sid Arora (Raja bhoj) the best...I'm even imagining him as Ashoka now :)

The orginal text was written in Sanskrit as "Simhasana Dvatrimsika", I don't know the author. I have read the Hindi Translation "Singhasan Battisi" from my school library when I was 8, so I hardly remember much of the story. There is another famous book on the valor and wisdom of Vikramaditya written originally in Sanskrit as "Vetala Panchavimshati", which is commonly referred in the Hindi translations as Vikram aur Betal ki kahaniyan.

May be both have been a part of KathaSaritSagar written by Sanskrit poet Somdev in 11th century AD. However am not very sure whether they have been written many years earlier by some other writer and the stories were just compiled by Somdev as a part of Kathasaritsagar. Panchatantra, a popular children folk lore involving animals and morals, is also a part of Kathasaritsagar.

Thanks @Bharti. I remember reading Vikram air Betaal ki kahaniyan but had never heard of sinhasan battisi. Learning something new here.

Both Raja Bhoj and Vikramaditya were great kings- very intelligent and good rulers. Hope we get to see some interesting stories in coming epi..
