This I can agree with , that actor may not have not been able to emote onscreen but it doesn’t change the fact that what is happening with him is heartbreaking. The actor is unable to emote that is a different issue.

So let’s say everything remains the same if the actress playing Mauli was a horrible actress would we have supported Kunan? Would we have wanted Kunal to leave and abuse a pregnant Mauli for someone else? If the guy playing Veer was an awesome actor would that have made Mishaan wrong? Would we have said that Veer doesn’t deserve this? So everything is acting dependent and not characterisation and story line dependent? I mean personally even if the most horrible actress was playing Mauli I would have still felt bad for her and criticised kunan because no matter the acting kunan were wrong and Mauli’s characterisation was beautiful. Same is now whether the guy playing Veer is good or a bad actors it doesn’t matter. Mishti has been honest about her feelings , she has done the right thing. For Veer he does have my sympathy because till date he believed he is marrying a girl who loves him all of a sudden he comes to know she doesn’t.I sympathise with his heartbreak.

Yes it would have mattered if the actress playing Mauli was a bad actress. We are not reading a book here . When we read a book we connect to the character based on the dialogues given by the author and how they behave in different situations.

Here we are watching a story being enacted.Visual representation is more powerful than the dialogue itself . In dialogue delivery you have voice modulation and facial expressions which can have a more powerful impact than the actual words being spoken. They can reduce the impact of words or magnify that. This is what makes viewers connect to the character.

On paper I feel sympathy for Veer . If this were a book I would have felt sympathy. In the show I don't.

More than actor, Execution and screenplay were underwhelming for me.. Key differences between Mauli and Veer's situation are -

1 Men and women react differently - Mauli was more in pain than angry and we have seen how in similar circumstances Kunal was more angry than in pain, similarly Veer was shown more angry than in pain

2 Mauli caught KuNan cheating - Mauli's pain was way more because she caught them cheating on her, here Mishti told Veer about it, Veer doesn't even has any idea of Mishti and Ruhaan. Someone is leaving you is one thing but someone is leaving you for your best friend is another.

3 Mishaan are loved - KuNan were hated by everyone, so they wrote dialogues favoring Mauli, in every way, this time Mishaan are loved so the dialogues were written to favor them. So in Kunal and Mauli's break up, Kunal didn't say a word, Mauli got dialogues, here Veer didn't say much, Mishti got dialogues.

Actor playing Veer is not a good actor but when he was talking to his mother about Mishti, I did feel bad for him, so if given an opportunity, the character connects with audience

Agree with you! Its all in the control of the writers and directors- they can ask Rohan to tone down his reaction so people don’t empathize with his character. He may not be a great actor, but thats again the conscious choice of the casting folks to select an actor who the audience cannot connect with.

Therein lies my dilemma, do I want to put myself through that horror again to watch him emote? Sorry, I am being harsh, but I don't like this guy🤔.

About today, his expressions are good enough for, if he were accidentally given nimbu paani when he had a mouth full of cavities. Not even worth for a root canal kind of pain, definitely not enough expressions for a life shattering event😳.

Oh my god Mili...are you the queen of humour or what??? The entire second para....omg I got stomachache from laughing so hard🤣🤣

Bold @ I felt the same ... He was good in that scene as I could feel horrible for him. But today it was a different case. He couldn't emote the hurt and pain, as much as he did the helplessness that day. Moreover he is yet to learn about Mishti and his best friend. Need to watch for that scene too

Exactly

Shakti was amazing as Kunal but I did not feel bad for him when he used to cry for Nandini, his expressions, his dialogues everything was on point but we didn't connect to Kunan's divine love because it wasn't right. Mauli always got hard hitting brilliant dialogues, Aditi was mind blowing obviously but I didn't have to watch her performance to feel bad for Mauli, the build up was enough, Shakti and Aditi's performance in that confrontation scene was the best acting I have ever seen on ITV

Yes if Mauli didn't made an impact the backlash would have been different ...

And why don't u watch and judge why PPL feel veer wasn't up to mark ?

Emotional connect may be yes. We all cried with Mauli may be no one will cry with Veer. That I get. But opinions are not driven by what’s shown in a serial. At least for me opinion is driven by my own sense of right or wrong , morals and beliefs . As per which I don’t think Mishaan are wrong. Mishti did the right think but it was still unfair for Veer as till date Mishti led him to believe that she does love him. No one is right or wrong here still a person’s heart has to break as that is life. And I sympathise with that fact. As that is what my morals and beleif’s are all about. I fail to understand how that can change by how some one is acting . My belief is a cheating and lieing in a 7 year old marriage is wrong whether Mauli’s acting is good or bad won’t change this opinion. Watching or not watching won’t change my opinion as I have said. May be peope get influenced by acting , chemistry and favourite actors etc so the opinions vary depending on which actor is playing which character but it not for me. For me options are driven by my own beliefs. Cheating is wrong , even if the person being cheated on is a good or bad actress or actor I would still say cheating is wrong. I not able to digest that cheating would have been ok in season 1 if Mauli was a bad actress. How is that possible? Kunan behaved absolutely despicably , and I would like to believe that they would have been hated as much only no matter how Mauli acted because the opinion was that cheating and lieing to your wife and backstabbing a friend is wrong.

Rohan is a very limited actor and i realised it from the very first week episodes itself.. But lately he was showing some improvement.. Seeing the promo itself , i undestood he had failed miserably in doing a decent job for the most anticipated scene of the serial.. His acting came across as very try hard.. I mean we can clearly see he is trying really hard to get the emotions on his face and his dialogue delivery was also very forced.

Same here. The only time I felt bad for him was during his conversation with his mom.

May be he is saving his best emotions to come out when he gets to know of Mishaan.

When we hear something of this sort happen to our acquaintance, we feel terrible. But when we see them and notice no hurt at all, our feeling bad doesn't make sense when they are themselves not sad at the circumstance. That's what happened here.
