You can call me Looseal :)Regarding Sandhya: she is nor evil nor the best person. The only thing she has done thats objectively wrong is not telling Mouli/Kunal or his family that Pari had come by. Like the kid was missing and she could have said yes Pari came here but left without saying anything (which is also true, remember Sandhya was gonna find someone to bring Pari home).I totally disagree that it was Sandhya's fault that Pari got kidnapped or Kunal got shot.Secondly, there was "blackmailing" Pari into silence. Thats the bitchiest thing she has done and I am sure it will come out.And yes there are other stuff like her taunting Mouli about being a divorcee or telling Pari about Nandini, its bitchy sure. But its not malicious nor evil. She was initially shocked about Mouli but after Mouli came back she seems pretty accommodating, no? It wasn't her place to tell Pari but its not like she went around telling people or Pari. Pari was there, she asked and Sandhya told her the truth. Also Pari wasn't leaving without an answer. Could she have been more more sensetive sure. But honestly, people are making waaay big of a deal out of it.Like I said, when your favorite is an insensitive cheater, its much easier to find and magnify others"flaws". If Mouli can still be kind to Kunal after everything he himself did, Mouli can definately be with Ishaan and look past Sandhya's flaws.
@sancheeta: Its indeed nice to have proper discussion with you all. It baffles to me to no end that the makers are so nonchalant about their own creations. You have good actors, you have characters that are loved (or hated) and a solid fan following...why are they not utilising the chances they have been given the channel and the viewers. All the viewers wanted was a good, strong moving on story for Mouli. So simple so easy. And if they didn't have any ideas, couldn't they steal one from this forum? Like I swear I have seen better predictions and hopes on this forum alone.
@NainoMeinSapna: Hello fellow AD fan. Thanks. Love Luciel (see that's an example of a well written selfish/vile person)
The thing about Sandhya is that her being good or bad is irrelevant. Unlike Radhika and Dida she isn't a big part of Mouli or Ishaan's life. She doesn't even live with Ishaan. The fact that they are showing her views on ways of living and relationships as an obstacle is the easiest and the cheapest way to discard MouHaan. If Mouli breaks off engagement/wedding because of "truth about Sandhya I will be pissed.
I am upset that she demanded Mouli to leave her "sasural without even bothering to get to know Radhika and Dida. I am a huge fan of them especially Radhika (not just because she is the coolest MIL but also because Jayaji delivers her lines with perfection, and her make up is always on point, even during her own son's funeral). I see them not as Mouli's ex-in laws but as her present mayka (don't know where the real ones are gone :/). So, I had hoped that Mouli would at least ask her to get to know her two mothers. But I guess if someone is asking you to let go off your parents you'd be furious too. I know I would.
But I do understand where Sandhya was coming from. We know what Radhika and Dida have done for Mouli, Mouli knows it and to extent Ishaan knows it (remember he didn't even know about KuNan, so maybe he didn't know about Radhika and Dida choosing Mouli either). But Sandhya doesn't know that. She think hers would be daughter in law lives with her ex in laws and where the ex-husband was back again. This was literally her point. Back then Mouli could have acknowledged that it is indeed a very strange situation and that Sandhya's response is normal. Then she should have convinced Sandhya to spend time with Radhika and Dida. Get to know them.
But yeah, ye sab karte toh Kunal apni herogiri kaise dikha pata. So here we are.

Lucille is hilarious. "You're now my third least-favourite child. Best worst mother ever! 😆 Man, the original 3 seasons of AD were so good and now they've just ruined the show with seasons 4 and 5.
Anyways, back to Sandhya, you're absolutely right. Sandhya is not a completely unreasonable woman. When that promo came out I though IshaaLi would handle the situation much better than just breaking off the marriage. But as you said, CVs had to whitewash Kunal so they just left it at that.

I love this whole discussion going on so so much.
Love everyone's inputs and comments.I'll just add one small thing, since many people keep relating real life to reel life.In real life, one does luck out to have in laws like Radhika and Dida. But realistically, how many people actually get that? Not many.In real life, one has to be open to communication, discussions and developing a good relation with their in laws. It takes work and effort and years and it isn't easy.Had Mauli told Ishaan, he could have aided in this effort. And if she doesn't want Ishaan to argue with his mother, then she should say something herself. But again, in real life, it is the husbands job to help strengthen the relationship between his parents and wife, and vice versa. So Ishaan explaining to his mother how her actions are wrong, she seems reasonable enough to have understood. And as you all have so perfectly summed up my feelings on the show - I totally think if they had a season 2/spin off/changed track where Mauli and only Mauli is the main character. What she thinks, what she is going through, how she moves beyond her past, how she is scared to love again, how she falls in love with Ishaan, how happy Ishaan makes her, how her and Ishaan deal with Sandhya, how her and Ishaan deal with Kunal's amnesia, then it would have been a much much better show and perhaps TRPs would not have dropped.Silsila came back from Voot to TV, I want to say, due to Ishaan's entrance. I think post-leap everyone wanted Mauli-Ishaan. Had they gone with this storyline and developed it more and made it Mauli-Centric and told the story from her POV, it would have been a huge hit. Come one, world wide, with things like the #metoo movements and feminism gaining popularity, there is no way the show would have had low TRPs.But instead, everything is about Kunal. Kunal, like you all said, is a victim when he doesn't know about Mishti. Kunal tries to bring Ishaan-Mauli together (even though the reason was Sandhya's condition for Mauli - they brushed this under the rug and did stupid things like the patao Mauli scheme), Kunal now got shot and has amnesia.Just thinking about it infuriates me.Writing is imperative in any show or movie. If the writing is not up to par, if the situations and characters lack, if the storyline and POV don't make sense, then even people with high popularity like King Khan (SRK) in a lead role, cannot salvage a poor script (which we have seen with his recent and unfortunate failures at the Box Office).
