Maybe Mehak as as a friend will be someone to whom Kunal can talk and let his emotions out(when i say emotions doesn't means feelings for Mouli etc but just in general). Or atleast one can hope Gajra will use her for that purpose. Kunal has been lonely with no adult to share his emotions with, maybe he has became or learned to become hard with time.
