This is the main problem of this serial ever since it started.We saw no background story of any other characters except Mauli&Kunal.Had no idea about Nandini's family ? Or how or why she married to Rajdeep? So we never understood Nandini.Now Ishan is also becoming another Nandini.
Just like Nandu he too doesn't have a family. As if Ishan and Nandu are twins...both got no family, no back ground , just born and started to live between Kunal and Mauli. May be Nandu and Ishan are brother and sister. 🤔 Or may be Nandu did a plastic surgery and gender change too to become Ishaan. Don't forget Nadu was also a great cook. 🤔
At first Kunal left the Doctor wife for cook Nandu now Mauli is also liking another "cook". Both have one common problem ...they want "Cook" in their life???? 😲

I think he owns a restaurant. So maybe he is a successful chef who opened own restaurant and then more chains. Thats how he became wealthy?

I agree we need his backstory. Still hoping he doesnt turn evil.

I don't think he is really that important of a character for these lazy writers to write a background for him. He is a character who exists for a purpose and he is fulfilling it.

Someone on this forum sowed the doubt of Ishaan being Rajdeep in my mind..and it's not going away..we did not even get proper closure for Rajdeep and he was kinda had soft corner towards Mauli..I mean it was on the cusp..not full fledged soft corner..but still he grudgingly respected her

they don't need to show any kind of his families introduction...at least his personal life introduction and how he fall in love with mauli in Fbs is enough...he is a chef..business tycoon is just not enough...he is sweet to Malhotras...loves mauli n mishti for 3 yrs is not enough...he is too perfect to be true and i don't trust his character either as i know nothing abt him...even now i feel his idea of keeping the girls apart is due to his insecurity...since he was insecured seeing Maunal together though they met by coincidence...if girls meet...Maunal have to meet...he very knows that mauli has no feelings for him...well if there is no background of him...i will feel this way only...yes its a good thought that he wants to adopt mishti but what makes him feel sorted that kunal will sign the papers he draft for adoption...what if kunal doesn't sign...this thought never arise his mind...even if mauli give permission...kunal being the real father needs to give his consent if he refuse even mauli can't do anything as per law becos in the eyes of law even mauli lied to kunal abt mishti's existence...they don't see emotions...but proofs n facts

what actually we know abt him...Maunal past is open...does he have a past...we need to know something abt him...i just can't connect to his character...it has been moved to voot...at least 1 epi...few scenes can be dedicated to ishaan's background
