I am very disappointed with today's episode. Why are makers hell-bent on showing that any career-oriented woman can not have a family? Do only stay at home moms make good mothers?
And why should only the mother juggle between work and family? Fathers should also do the same.
It's a shame that even after being a single mother and an amazing doctor, makers are treating Mauli's character as worthless. As if she didn't achieve anything in life. What do they want? Do they want her to stay at home, wear sarees and make a sweet dish for her daughter 24x7? Isn't it amazing that Mauli is setting such an awesome example for her child? She is the one who is teaching Mishti how to be independent and caring.
I am really disappointed by the way they are portraying that doctors can never be good parents or spouses.

PS: Does Kunnu bhaiya even have a job?

I completely agree with you!
This is utter garbage - the viewers are going to take away a very regressive message from this track.

I'd like to see an elaborate flashback of Kunal's past. How did he manage to be a good father with a full time job?! & if he wasn't working, then how the hell could he afford groceries for kheer?!

I agree that both mothers and fathers should (and in most cases have to) juggle between their career and their family. Kunal and Mauli had to do it before too and they did a damn good job at it. A family isn't magically created with a kid, a family can also consist of your parents, grandparents, and your pathetic best friend. If Mauli could manage it all then, how could she possibly not do it now?!

One child, three women, and one father figure - oh please, do not show that Mauli couldn't manage one child with all that help when previously she managed everything and more without any help!

P.S. Kunnu bhaiya seems to be an amazing father with all the spare time in the world for his child. That's all that matters. How he's paying bills buying diapers is apparently irrelevant.

Yep definitely agree...

So incredibly regressive, I don't even know why the makers created a show with a controversial topic and then back track so much about their treatment of it

I had hopes from the show post leap. But instead we are again being given lame excuses to justify K in anyway possible.

Hi. No offense to anyone but the only regressive people I saw today are the people in this forum. Mauli's struggle to give her child time and her daughter craving her time is a real struggle women have. No one in the show painted Mauli in a bad light. In fact, my respect for her increased because she is in such a difficult position where she can't spend time with her daughter. As a daughter of a working mother I know what that felt like. My mother still cries about how I had such high fever one time and she had to leave me at home to go to work because she had no vacation days left. She still tells me how she used to cry at work. Was she a bad mother? HECK NO! Did I understand that at age 7? No. I just knew I missed my mom who liked work more than me.
You can have a career and a family. But not everything is always perfect. People do get hurt. Children get hurt. Not all careers are the same and not all families are the same. A mother working 9-5 daily while kid is at school is different than a mother who is running out every other hour, and can't spend the holiday with her daughter. It is realistic and it is painful. I am glad a show is showing it without blaming anyone. The show did not blame Mauli today. The only one indirectly blaming her is the people here who thought it painted Mauli in a negative light. If you really understood the plight of a working mother, you would understand their struggles and applaud them for what they do, what they sacrifice. Not try to hide their struggles and act like they don't exist. Like oh yea everything is so easy for working mothers...what struggle?!

How does the single working father get to be perfect and always available for his child as depicted today? Here the bias is evident from the CVs.

He might be working part time...even a part time pediatrician earns enough for a family.

cvs r not saying that women should not work
otherwise cvs would have not shown mauli ,a working. woman for so for atleast 12 year and Even i dida and Radhika would have not support. mauli doing working

cvs want to show when a woman took all. i responsibility whether it is of work or of family it is very difficult to single earning woman to please everyone

in reality working woman do face such confusion problem when. every responsibility in single woman head . and this is what CVs want to show us

Common the cv themselves showed what the so called homemakers r capable of. They r capable of sleeping with their own besties husband without an ounce of guilt n regrets uttering words like I didnot want to hurt u. Whereas mauli as a character showed what working girls r capable of. They r capable of managing family single handedly both financially n emotionally.
Plus Kunal is a hypocrite giving all his time to his daughter leaving his mother n grandmother to b attended by his exwife. He was shown to somehow reach n provide for his daughter but for his elders all he could do was a phone call n sulk n leave.

Please mishti is just missing his mom n sooner she realises mr Kunal real character she will despise him like scabies.
