Why is Mauli and Kunal's mom happy about him returning?

Do they want people to believe that woman can't be independent and strong? In this day and age, women can very well raise a child on their own. They don't need a mans support especially someone like Kunal!

This is such a pathetic message that they are sending across! And what a way to butcher maulis character!
