I had this problem with kkg in ipkknd. These virginal heroines are supposed to be very conservative from small town but she used to wear modern dresses and dance to bollywood songs and wear backless dresses. I am not bodyshaming but itsi a genuine doubt. Do conservative girls wear such dresses. I am from tamilnadu which is a very orthodox state and such dresses are frowned upon. So my doubt is if people do wear such dresses or it's just in shows.

Dressing is much more about being comfortable. I live in the city & I am not comfortable with too revealing dresses & wearing one just makes me too conscious of my dressing, something I don't like. Even my aunt in Delhi is working but hates to wear backless blouses even when her husband often tells her to try one. But there are people, who can carry them with ease & comfort, so they wear them. It's also about accepting such dresses in family. Some family accept them easily, some don't & then it's about personal choices. And I have mix of them.

Wear saree seldom
Not comfortable in it
Always go for jeans and tops
So ...can't comment
But backless blouses will be comfy during summer
No blouse also will be fine

Thanks dear. As I mentioned people here twist words and misinterpret intentionally. I have not been to Lucknow and so have no idea how people dress there. I have only to kerala, AP and Karnataka. Not sure why people are so trigger Happy with the report button. Already folks are clarified that people do wear such blouses with traditional saree and my doubt is clarified. It a serial thing only, women are always decked up ...how will all of us react on seeing nandini on the bus stop ? Like was she wearing clothes suitable for travelling or even stepping out and travelling in auto? We deck up like that on weddings.. . However I always liked Dd's backless blouses . She normally wears them in all serials . And they suit her . And in our society (north Indians) backless kya, in sometime girls might stop wearing blouses 😆 with saarees..Bollywood nai dekha..north is worse than that ..not all girls for a few , and it's their choice ..hum Kya kahein
