And I just wrote a paragraph about how it's not just about household chores. We have seen Mauli struggle with handling relationships too. My mum had recently got outside help for household chores but she still likes doing it most of herself. Mauli has only been shown cooking once - how can she work in the day when she's a Doctor? That's why they've got a maid. Now how many scenes of the maid do you want to see?

Just curious (and Im sure your mom is wonderful and lovely 😊),but Im assuming she aint a top gynecologist in India who is not just working normal hours but even overtime and hardly has any breathing space let alone be able to do EVERYTHING in the house all alone? Thats where my question arises. She is shown as a highly successful and renowned gynae who is working overtime as well.My own cousin is a working doctor and has two kids and she is always upset about how she isnt able to cook for them or spend enough time with them when they are growing up. She also has a full time maid to look after her in laws and kids. Doing some part of the work is okay but here Mouli was shown as doing EVERYTHING from cooking to attending to dhobi/watchman to giving Dida her meds and list goes on. I think that part was overdone and far fetched and the CVs could have shown it differently without giving out such an unrealistically high expectation from a working woman. And I want to see as many scenes of the maid as is necessary. Atleast attending to watchman /dhobi can be done by her right ? Uske liye bhi Mouli kyu chahiye?

No she isn't but she's a very busy lady. She doesn't fully like someone else doing her househould chores either because it's HER OWN house. When it's your own house, you want to look after it too. Mauli has a nice bond with her Dida and MIL so she looks out for them too. In today's world, everyone is rushed between work and home.

I think we will just have to leave it that because this situation doesn't seem realistic to you where as it does to me.

But they do show Mouli washing dishes and cooking and attending to the watchman and serving medicines for Deeda and doing N number of things even when its not completely necessary to show all of this as Im not sure how these scenes contribute to the plot and specially when you have more important things to tell in the story. Why even show a maid then because going by your logic when Mouli would be working it can by default be assumed a maid is there at home to take care of the family. If you are going to show the maid right there doing nothing standing next to Mouli and Mouli doing everything toh then I am going to ask why isnt the maid doing anything! Fair enough I suppose?

Yes because working women do their own chores as well when they're not working. It's absolustely normal.

Let's put it this way. When Mauli is at the hospital, the maid is working. When mauli is at home, she probably does some chores too.

You'll have to ask the creatives to show the maid working more 😛

But then how can I draw a parallel between someone who is simply busy and an actual working top notch gynae? I specifically mentioned about her being a top gynae in India working overtime and I for one know they find it hard to give time to family and chores because atleast 4 of my cousins are working doctors. Aise toh I can even bring my mom in the comparison as she also does all the household chores and is a busy lady but she isnt a working top ranked doctor in India right. She doesnt have to rush at any point of time for emergencies, she doesnt have to worry about who will take care of her kids when she rushes for emergency and doesnt come back for hours together. Every profession comes with a different set of challenges so I cannot really sketch a comparison or assumption based on just any busy lady and a full time working renowned doctor. That would be a moot comparison if you ask me.

Offcourse I will point it out because its hilarious to pay a maid to just come and offer juice to you and do no real work.Kuch toh logic use kare makers! And the people who you are saying are trying to justify it arent really trying to justify it .Probably trying to figure out what goes wrong in such a loving couple's relationship.Thats more from an analysis point of view than an accusation.

It's a show, they aren't going to pay an actress for extra hours just to show her doing the chores. In other serials as well, you see that they have maids but the bahus keep running around all day and do household. So it's implied.
I cannot understand why you keep hanging on this point again and again because its irelevant to plot. But if you are trying to say that M should spend more time with her hubby, and do less work, and this is why K is drawn to N, then sorry, but this is wrong

I'm trying to think which show actually shows the maids chores and insights in to their life.

I didn't realise a top gynaecologist cannot do house chores when she's at home either. In the grand scheme of things, I also don't get how it impacts the actual storyline.

Yes they do chores when they arent working ,but not ALL the chores right from attending to dhobi or doodhwala to cooking to giving meds to daadi to the list goes on. 😛😆 Itna toh saakshat superwoman bhi nahi kar pa rahi hogi jitna apni Mouli kar pa rahi hai and that too with a full time maid and so many relatives out there to help . Atleast or kuch nahi toh doorbell toh attend kar hi sakte hai na.😳 If she has an off and is going to do all the chores by herself then shouldnt that day be an off for the maid logically? 😳 Ab maid ko bhi dikhaoge ki she is present and doing nothing toh naturally I will ask ki itna paisa hai kya aapke paas to call the maid even on your off days and not let her do any work except offering juice?😆 Bulaya hai toh she shd also be shown as doing some work right?😛

I didnt realise a top notch gynae has so much money to offer a maid to come and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in her house except for offering juice. Yeh toh superwoman ko bhi shame me daalde 🤣
