The promo itself is very Blah. Nothing unique or interesting in the promo.

It could have worked for them had they shown it after a couple of years.

I couldn't understand why they depicted Bharata to be completely dependent on Rama.Surely he was a softie and emotional in VR but showing him weak was not good even though Swastik did it nicely.The actor acted sincerely though. However he was not that great in his performance .But he was someone who really put his all for the role.Perhaps it's because he is a rookie.

Rama had that effect on everyone. He could enchant anyone by being himself and many loved him a lot. As for vanaras, they were a race proud of themselves and very capable. They fought like brutes with sheer strength and boulders and tree trunks as weapons. The vanara chiefs strategised battle plans and Rama was able to grasp them all, contribute accordingly and manage to handle the whole army. The fact that their style of fighting was completely different from what he had learnt and been taught was testimony to his excellency in warcraft. He was the best in Ayodhya. His experience in fighting demons in Dandakaranya would have helped but still a person needs to be exceptionally intelligent to adapt to such a situation. And yes, convincing and winning friends when he had nothing and he himself was seeking help is a phenomenal feat. Vanaras weren't ordinary - many could fly and change forms at will (not just Hanuman but Hanuman was indeed the best among them).

Lankan army comprised of demons were also beings that fought with brute force. Hence I think the vanaras were an apt choice.

As for Bharat, his and his mother's characters were torn apart in this series. It was Nikilesh's acting that drew me into Shrimad Ramayan. Either Lakshman or Bharat or both are sacrificed in many of Ramayan portrayals to somehow give more importance to Rama, something that is unnecessary. In this series, Shathrugan had so little role and he always had to attach himself to his brothers while they hugged. He's the youngest, logically he would have been enveloped first. He did gain importance during Luv Kush saga but that just fizzled out. There was so much potential to use the storyline and extra characters like Somkaran but sadly that never came to be.

If they want to drag it, I don't mind. Unprecedented extensions do happen but I want to see happy moments and rich ones that delve into special characteristics of the people in the story and not nonsensical deviations that have no logic.

In Shrimad Ramayan, I was happy to see a teasing streak in Rama. This is not shown in Ramayan very often. Sujay had portrayed it so beautifully. He has that child like innocence and also the strict aura when he wants to put a stop to something. Well portrayed.

Himanshu is a good actor I saw him as Buddha and in Ram siya ke luv kush . Also he play golok Krishna in Radha Krishna
