I am not too sure either because there's an entire page of description of the astrological chart in Valmiki Ramayan. From what I can understand, Ram was born when they day was advanced, Bharat, the next morning and the twins later the same day as Bharat.

Not all of them.

The clothes given to people taking up vanvaas are made from preserved or treated tree bark and pretty much looks like the upper strips of cloth Lakshman wears in this series. It's meant to look unkempt. By its nature, the bark clothes last long and when they are unusable, new ones are obtained/made. A few versions of Ramayan mentions that Sita struggled to wear these clothes since they were completely alien to her and Ram helped her put them on.

In some versions Sita is given clothes that never get dirty or torn. In some versions, she goes to vanvaas with her silk sarees (I find this hard to believe).

As for the royal clothes I find it a nice touch for them to show it a bit rustled or unkempt once in a while - gives a realistic touch to the scene as long as they do maintain the costumes properly.

I hope they did clean them regularly. I remember reading a lot of actors and actresses saying it was difficult wearing the same thing again and again and I hope it wasn't the case with this production. If it's the vanvaas dress they did make it dirty during episodes that required it being dirty, so hopefully it was make up or chocolate powder (hopefully that didn't make it too sticky)

Actually I had the same thoughts but dismissed them thinking it was a portrayal style. In this series Ram is portrayed as a very controlled and stable person which probably requires him not being to emotional. Not sure if it is the lead actor's style or if it was the director's and story writer's suggestion. A huge part of Ram was lost since he was quite open with his emotions when he was with his trusted people - his friends and brothers.

Naimisharanya? That was the place where the Ashwamedha Yagya happened, wasn't it?

In some versions, the Bhumipravesh happened in Ayodhya's Rajsabha, some versions, it was Naimisharanya and in others, especially old movies, it was in the forest where Luv Kush fought Ram.

In the supposed extrapolated Uttar Kand in Valmiki Ramayan, Luv Kush sing the Ramayan after the sacrifice is over and then, after finding out who the twins are, Rama sends a ... letter (?) to Valmiki asking him to bring Sita to Ayodhya Rajsabha and to let her declare her chastity in front of the court. When Valmiki conveys this to Sita, she is upset on being asked for a test again but says, "Since my husband wills it, it has to be done and I shall comply." That's what I remember reading (long back, so I could be mistaken).
