I had trouble in understanding her Haryanvi accent in the beginning but then got the hang of it

Actually the show was promoted as the modern rendering of Mahabharata (Mahabharata ka crime patrol bana diya that's different)

So the show focussed of Yuvika (Pandava equivalent) and her cousin Digvijay (Kaurava/Duryodhana equivalent). Yuvika was the only lead, and if you say Male Lead it was Digvijay then, he was the antagonist but from show's perspective he was the only character of relevance except Yuvika. Later they brought another love angle for Yuvika by when I had stopped watching
