A little short review today. Will be back on Monday for all old (ALOT to catch up there, i know 😭) and new reviews. Keep me tagged ladies!
1. How did shaurya not react to AAstha or AAstha not react to shaurya in their usual mother son manner? Why was ne not annoyed by her presence or why was she not crazy worried because he came in front of a car? I found both reactions underrated.
2. Shaurya will recite the entire Odyssey but will not apologize. I dont think he knows to express any emotion well except anger. Even aastha caught on to his intentions but he just could not. Ahir too noticed him and now i feel was slightly concerned about him and his impact on Anokhi.
3. Anokhi was sad about leaving. I wish they had given her monologues here. It was required. Her expressions were sad and you could feel it but a monologue would have been better. The sudden, 'shaurya is my favorite person' was weird...most impactful person maybe..yes but favorite? with that flashback? Or maybe she had spent the most time with him , he was always around and she developed that haq...maybe the flashback indicated he was her best and worst person there but he mattered ALOT!
4. I did not like the abduction. It's not something that should be shown so casually on ITV in a country where it happens in reality with boys who refuse to understand a no. Writers do better!
6. I think while on the journey to home the magnanimity of this decision hit anokhi and in car with shaurya it hit her, good or bad, she will never see him and she wants to see him. She likes to see him.
7. LOVED THE SORRY. The tones, the reactions, the music and the location. It was a very well done scene!
Side Note 1 : KV and Deba looked fab...khoobsurat people!
Side note 2 : Loved how the divorce is being considered a new start by Devi and shaan but in completely polar opposite ways.
Side note 3 : I loved the subtle scene of Aastha remembering the dhaba memories. Wish we have more memories recited to us of the happy trio in the past.
This episode didn’t really interest me much for some reason. It was just an okayish episode but builds up to some promising content in terms of Shakhi and towards ss’s realisation.
Anokhi… she is definitely zero when it comes to matters of love. Does she think ss is just so uthawla to say sorry that he jumped In Front of the car? Yes he’s there to stop her by saying sorry but cant she think what makes the all egoistic Ss appear like that?
All his excuses for stopping Anokhi are countered with by Acp and Ss never leaves to make a wisecrack when Acp is around. You are the culprit😂😂 and mutual admiration club🤣🤣
Both Astha and Acp can sense that ss is anxious.. And here comes the lamest excuse that she is an siac student… yeh sab siac students ke welfare (outside college) ka theka le rakha hain kya? Unfortunately nothing works in favour of Ss given Anokhi’s resolute and it was really sad to see him helpless in that situation. Somehow felt really bad for Ss. And Astha’s take care Shaurya made it even worse for me( knowing that she can sense his uneasiness but can’t help him)
And Anokhi too was sad leaving her dreams … hope they made a bit more emphasis on this like discussing with Astha? Or Babli?
Acp constantly keeping an eye on Anokhi and observing that she is all lost decides to distract her. Astha’s question about him visiting kapurthala and the way he answers it raises a doubt if he has fallen for Anokhi already? And Anokhi thinks of Ss when questioned about favourite person? When she remembered him it was two contrasting personalities that appeared before her. Why does she think of him? I have the same doubt as Anokhi. She remembers him not only for his rude behaviour but he is also in her good books.. whatever it is he is the only person she can think of at the moment.
Ss… how desperate he was he had to kidnap Anokhi to convey his sorry. Anokhi all rebellious wasn’t ready but suddenly stopped in her tracks only when Ss said he might not meet her again? Why so? Does his presence affect her do much? And he was so much at ease than he thought when he said sorry. It came out of his heart and didn’t look forced…
Celebration time for Bm and gang as both Astha and Anokhi leave but Shaan was celebrating for a different reason.. a new fresh beginning
I have a mental block about watching this episode. I tried to put it off just like the library episode. It's all because of those beginning scenes.
Shaurya is so restless and Anokhi is so confused! I don't enjoy this episode because Shaurya is such a man-child. I skip the beginning drama usually. The only thing good about the scene is Ahir's cheesy lines(a little cringe) and Aastha realizing that something is going on with Shaurya and Anokhi. Shaurya wasted so much time just looking for excuses so that he wouldn't have to speak from his heart. But I do like the line "Meri nazar mein tu hi culprit hai"!😆 And beautiful song choice as they depart. The lyrics hit 🥺!
Bewajah tha safar, bin tere humsafar
Lag raha hai tujhe dekh ke
Zindagi ki taraf, tu hai pehla kadam
Hai tujhi mein meri manzile
Bahut aayi gayi yaadein, magar is baar tum hi aana
Iraadein phir se jaane ke, nahi laana tum hi aana
The car conversation between the trio was also interesting. Anokhi was very distracted even though it was her choice to leave. Ahir tried really hard to drop some hints but Anokhi wasn't picking any of them up!(you gotta feel bad for that guy) The favorites game revealed that Anokhi likes the color black, rajma chawal, roses, and Kapurthala. But when it came to her favorite person, why did Shaurya Sabherwal come to mind first??
Shaurya kidnapping Anokhi is meant to be cute and knowing ITV I take it as such, but like Anokhi asked, what is the difference between him and the gundas? His retort is also annoying, he blames her for "having to" kidnap her as if she didn't give him ample opportunity to speak. But the guy is frustrated and confused that just wants to get it out of his system. I'm glad Anokhi was frustrated by his muteness on the bridge and showed it. What he couldn't say at the college, at the flat, in the morning, or at the dhaba was "SORRY! i'M REALLY SORRY ANOKHI". There's a lightness that comes after this scene. I really enjoy the bridge scene. It's beautifully captured and the symbolism is beautiful.
Side note:
~ Kanchan named the show first........Shaurya is playing a game called 'Shaurya aur Anokhi ki Kahani". Shaurya must be in dire circumstances if he's not yelling at Kanchan about her three little words insinuation. Their growing relationship is still cute; gives Kanchan something to do beside being the good but wronged bahu.
~ Devi really doesn't know how to read the room. Who would want to celebrate a breakup? Especially Shaurya?

enjoy your weekend!

soooooooooo i remember that when we saw this episode for the first time, we were all annoyed that aastha's first reaction wasn't to run out and check on her child. we were very disappointed by her maternal instincts. BUT, i can see why she wouldn't feel like she has that haq. especially because she hasn't played his mother, so she's forgotten she is a mother.
2. Shaurya will recite the entire Odyssey but will not apologize. I dont think he knows to express any emotion well except anger. Even aastha caught on to his intentions but he just could not. Ahir too noticed him and now i feel was slightly concerned about him and his impact on Anokhi.
hahahhaa recite the odyssey! for real. he's grabbing for straws to keep anokhi there, except stating the truth that would.
3. Anokhi was sad about leaving. I wish they had given her monologues here. It was required. Her expressions were sad and you could feel it but a monologue would have been better. The sudden, 'shaurya is my favorite person' was weird...most impactful person maybe..yes but favorite? with that flashback? Or maybe she had spent the most time with him , he was always around and she developed that haq...maybe the flashback indicated he was her best and worst person there but he mattered ALOT!
i don't know if it was the 'best' part, but i think it was consequential that he was in any way in her brain. he should have been flushed out of her mind as she left. but he tugs at her heart and mind! i agree that anokhi needed more monologues, but i think deba did a good job with her reactions to when aastha mentions shaurya and kulfi. it's like shaurya's name is the only thing that brings her out of her dreamland.
4. I did not like the abduction. It's not something that should be shown so casually on ITV in a country where it happens in reality with boys who refuse to understand a no. Writers do better!
this! i glossed over it because this is ITV, but societally, showing guys who can't take 'no' for an answer bullying girls isn't a good thing.
6. I think while on the journey to home the magnanimity of this decision hit anokhi and in car with shaurya it hit her, good or bad, she will never see him and she wants to see him. She likes to see him.
it's funny that the statement of never seeing him again is what stopped her from fighting. also no matter what she thinks of him, she never sees him as a threat to her safety. there's a trust there.
7. LOVED THE SORRY. The tones, the reactions, the music and the location. It was a very well done scene!
me too. everything...especially in the next episode.
Side Note 1 : KV and Deba looked fab...khoobsurat people! totally agree. the white and blue with that hair looks beautiful on Deba and KV looks great in black and white.
Side note 2 : Loved how the divorce is being considered a new start by Devi and shaan but in completely polar opposite ways.
great point! Devi is closing a chapter and Shaan is opening to a new one.
Side note 3 : I loved the subtle scene of Aastha remembering the dhaba memories. Wish we have more memories recited to us of the happy trio in the past.
oh yes.... all the shaurya/shastha scenes we did not get to see! i wanted the happy family.

same!!!! just a throwaway episode until we get to the end.

Both Astha and Acp can sense that ss is anxious.. And here comes the lamest excuse that she is an siac student… yeh sab siac students ke welfare (outside college) ka theka le rakha hain kya? Aastha did try to talk her out of it in the prior episode. I wish we had seen a scene with Babli though.
She remembers him not only for his rude behaviour but he is also in her good books.. whatever it is he is the only person she can think of at the moment.
It's funny that she still thinks that he abandoned her at the riot, but chose to remember how he protected her at the riots in this episode.
I like the almost smile he had when he said it the second time. she asked for him to repeat it as if she couldn't believe it the first time and he was just obliging her.
Celebration time for Bm and gang as both Astha and Anokhi leave but Shaan was celebrating for a different reason.. a new fresh beginning
Where I admired Aastha in the first watch, while rewatching she has failed to impress me in any way. Guessed being a mother I find it difficult to accept her abandoning Shaurya for such a petty reason.
SAME! She impressed me in the first watch, but this time i can see the gaps, the careless attitude. She is a strong lady, but she has failed as a parent and this time around as i viewer i am unable to ignore it.

I am happy I am not the only one not appreciating the strong lady that is Astha. 😃
