First of all, what a beautiful review! It made me go all warm and fuzzy about shakhi! Sigh!!

My pleasure ☺️

Honestly i liked that they showed Shaurya walked in to help someone not just Anokhi. I think they might have done it to show that despite his regressive 'soch' he is a good human being. His heart must have skipped a beat on seeing Anokhi there. That song fit perfectly in this scene, did it not?.

It is one of my favourites, especially the song, telling us the feelings of Shaurya..

It also brought out a vulnerable side of Anokhi and a gentle side of shaurya. She looked like a china doll and he looked like he did not know how to not break her.

In fact from the beginning, Anokhi with less makeup has this innocent and young look about her. She looked very vulnerable in the eoisode when she decided to stop fighting for getting admission in SIAC, and told Shaurya that he misjudged her and then said a namaste and ran away. That was very poignant...

Was it concern or possessiveness or both?

That talk about road safety both were right as you mentioned and as for Shaurya, it is both concern and possessiveness.

Again a cute scene. Also, anokhi reflects on shaurya's actions a little too much, dont you think?

Anokhi laready has Shaurya under her skin and definitey he is on her mind and she is very much aware of him physically.

The set up is so ITV. The heroine walks down a desolate road in the dark. She is kidnapped. Just then the hero appears and rides to her rescue. All the while the hero doesn't know he's rescuing his girl and the heroine doesn't know she's being rescued by her guy! Some practical questions I had were: How did Shaurya drive so fast to get in front of the van? Why does a professor think he can take on these gundas?

Comeon he is the superhero and he must be knowing of short cuts. Remember even Alok took a dangerous shortcut in the hope of reaching Aastha before Shaan

"Hero heroine ko ek saath dekhne ka maza hi kuch aur hai" the kidnapper prophesized unknowingly. When Shaurya sees that it's Anokhi, he becomes so agitated and desperate. He tried to fight but had to stop at the sight of a knife. I really thought he was getting in the car to call the police, but it was for a gun. Some more practical questions: Who the heck has a gun in their car?

A VIP?

And why are gundas, who are ready to kidnap, so afraid of a gun?

Amateurs playing at kidnappers, Alok type?

Shakiliciousness started with a "catch and hug" and the Dhadak song and strong staring game. They're so soft looking at each other and drinking each other in.

Marhami sa chaand hai tu, diljala sa main andhera

Ek dooje ke liye hain, neend meri khwaab tera

I loved that their roller coaster conversation included some heartfelt moments but also some funny bits.

"Jahaan museebat hoti hai, wahan tum hoti ho" "Aur jahaan main hoti hu, aap kyu hoti ho"

This was a great point and counterpoint.

❤️

She really is a trouble magnet. He always shows up where she is and she notices! But she asks the question like she's complaining.

"Continue, Continue"

Shaurya is used to her lectures. This lecture was really needed. Shaurya represented society with his victim blaming and Anokhi is that progressive new soch.

Both were right in a sense.

He also displayed his privilege by assuming she's making money by working and should pay for transportation.

This is the case in society, the privileged have no notion of the hardships of the poorer section.

They really don't know each other well or the circumstance that have brought them where they are. He might receive it as a lecture, but she makes some solid points. He's being practical and realistic about safety, but he's still blaming her. Anokhi makes the argument that if guys can walk free, then why can't girls? Has anyone stopped Shaurya from being out because girls might harass him, so then why are girls taught to be fearful from a young age?

"Kisiko museebat main aise akhele chod ke jaana"

She's really affected by his abandonment during the riots. But this was bad timing. He just saved her from a kidnapping. What is with her selective amnesia?

She is always ready to blame Shaurya, and tends to forget all the good he has done...Ragging for instance, the police station when she was caught in the sleazy hotel..

" Main kabhi nahi chaonga ke main intentionally tumhe hurt karu"

His eyes are teary eyed when he says this. As soon as she yelps in pain, all the tension between the melts and awareness creeps in. He's genuinely sorry and he apologizes on the spot.

"Ab mann hi mann gaali dena band kar diya ho to, bait sakti ho"

When she initially doesn't want to get in his car, he felt rejected

It is hard for him to digest she may like someone else. It is harder to know that people you care about do not care about you..

and felt she chose Ahir over him by getting in the police car. But having unintentionally hurt her, he curbs his pride and hold the door open for her.

"Sir mat bulaya karo mujhe" "Sir agar sir nahi bulao to, kya bulao sir?"

After he asked not to be called sir, since he's not her professor, she used the word thrice in one sentence. Like he said, she just likes to be contrary.

"Enjoy your date sir"

Someone note the date, Anokhi Bhalla just cracked a joke to Shaurya Sabherwal!!!

Side notes:

~ Anokhi didn't see Alok on the kidnapper phone screen, but when Ahir found the suspects, why wasn't the culprit's phones checked if Alok is named in it. Also, whatever happened to the suspects? That was a loose end. SAAKK didn't like punishing anyone for their crimes.

~ The car conversation made it clear that Shakhi story has started with a confused Shaurya and a clueless Anokhi.

~ Loved that Shaurya noted that Anokhi was sad about her Papaji.

You complimented my review, everything that I missed but which were equally interesting you mentioned it.

Very much needed typical Itv drama to get the hero heroine together but unfortunately here it becomes the reason for more bitterness but eventually the purpose is served.

Did I miss something? Why did they say yeh phir aa gaya?

Hero heroine ko ek saath dekhke ka mazaa he kuch aur hain… how true😀

The kidnapper instigated him more by touching her when he was warned not to touch. After the brave act by Ss displaying his shooting skills, the heroine is freed. What type of kidnappers are they Alok? Are they not prepared to face such situations that they gave up so easily? Alok once again shows that he is useful for nothing.

The conversation between Ss and Anokhi…

What type of stupidity? Don’t you know this road is not safe? Can’t you go by a taxi?

Obviously he isn’t aware of the pay of a canteen worker.

Ss- jahan problem hoti hain wahan tum hoti ho and Anokhi- jahan main hoti hun wahan aap kyun hote ho? Little do they know that they are destined to be together and these are all forces that are working towards it. He doesn’t know that her situation is different

where she needs to earn her living without any support from parents.

Anokhi… problem hum ladkiyon mein nahin Gande soch wale Ladkon ki hain..very true but unfortunately boys are never taught to behave well with girls, rather girls are taught to be cautious. It is sad that girls are taught the fear of being unsafe rather than teach everyone how to create a safe and secure place to live in. Her words definitely got him thinking.

For every argument, he never leaves any opportunity to make indirect references to Acp which she doesn’t have any clue about. And she doesn’t leave any opportunity to blame him for leaving her alone in the riots. For Ss it is not difficult to say sorry if he genuinely feels sorry. But in case of his parents, all he can see is that his mother abandoned him and his father inspite of physically present wasn’t there for him. So he stresses to Anokhi that he can say sorry only if he feels so and wants to tell her that in case of Astha he isn’t really sorry for his behaviour( leaving the birthday one) and he isn’t the person she thinks he is.

His inner wish which has subconsciously made a space within him came out all of a sudden. Ek tho tum sir Mat bulaya Karo.. and what an explanation he gave!! And Anokhi ..respectable? Is it a joke? Ok you respect him but did you treat him like your professor at any point? And what a good student? After addressing him sir, immediately said sorry for saying so. And him saying… you should keep trying. The slight discomfort in expressing his wish is quite evident in his tone and it’s natural as it’s not something easy for anyone especially Ss.

The whole conversation is sweet… date with the owner and enjoy your date sir😂
