This is again one of the best episode of the series!

Shaurya Saberwal always wants to be acknowledged. Is this because his mother never acknowledged him once she left? Is this because he needs constant validation from someone he cares about? Or is it just about the Saberwal pride? And it hurts him when we does not get that from anokhi. It annoys him more that ACP ahir got that part of thanks.

Him hovering outside her room, where his ego is trying to convince him not to care because he could potentially get hurt. His want to see her overcomes his will to stay outside and he rushes in panic. This Shaurya does not understand this unease he is feeling, he puts it under the guise of 'concern of a professor' which is only partially true and hence the awkwardness. What I dont understand, is why is Anokhi disappointed? Was she not okay with searching for Aastha alone? Or was there an unsaid expectation that he will follow?

the song in BG, just compliments shaurya's raging emotions (few of the best lines below, they just exactly suit Shauray!)

Meri bechainiyon ko chain mill jaaye
Tera chehra jab nazar aaye
Tera chehra jab nazar aaye

Mere deewanepan ko sabr mil jaaye
Tera chehra jab nazar aaye

Meri tanhaiyon ko noor mill jaaye
Tera chehra jab nazar aaye

Main raat-din ye duaa karun

Tere liye main jiyun marun

Zikr tumhara jab jab hota hai

Dekho na honthon pe tera ehsaas

Reh jaata hai

Mere har raaste ko manzil mill jaaye

Tera chehra jab nazar aaye

Tera chehra jab nazar aaye

Berang hawayein mujhe naa jaane
De gayi sadaa kyun abhi abhi
Hai sarfaroshi ye aashiqui bhi
Jaayegi jaan meri isme kabhi

Meri har ik tadap ko sukoon mill jaaye
Tera chehra jab nazar aaye

The conversation that follows is so beautiful

"Hua to aaisa tha anokhi, ki main baar baar kehte jaa raha tha tumhe, ki tumhe vaha jaane ki zaroorat nahi thi, is tarah uss bheed mein ghusne ki zaarorat nahi thi, mujhe chhodke jaane ki koi zarrorat nahi thi"

He just could not bear ACP getting the credit but he really needs a lid on his anger. You cant throw things when a patient is around. The dialogue when he responds to anokhi's "aapko bhi chot lagi hai?" sound like a cry for help. They tell you that Shaurya will die in emotional pain but not ask for love, just because he was hurt once.

"Nahi, nahi, mujhe nahi dard hota, mujhe kyun dard hoga? hmm..Main toh pathardil hoon aur pathardil logon ko dard nahi hota, isliye uss tarah tumhe chhodkar chale gaya tha na, uss dango ke beech"

Honestly, shaurya's emotions left me confused here. the way he is trying to express to her the sense of panic that he felt, the way he tells her, maybe she will never know. He is almost whispering. to me it feels like Shaurya does not want anyone in the world to know that he was scared for Anokhi. This was an emotion he wanted to share with her only. To me anokhi looked dazed by his intensity and answer.

Aastha is a smart women so taking a break from the world and disappearing was okay but thinking no one would care , seriously? What about her parents? Seriously?! I really liked the Shastha moment here though. Ahir is the most useless cop ever but the car service was useful. But i wanted to see a little more panic from shastha for shakhi when they got to know about the riots. It feels like shastha have forgotten to be parents totally.

While Shaurya shows Anokhi he does not care, his happiness is so evident outside the room. This scene also shows that aastha's words about her 'truth' have impacted Shaurya and that shaurya carries a lot of guilt. The tears of guilt and relief are just heartbreaking and yet he hides from his mother. He would rather have people see him as a heartless brute than a child who cries for his mother. He is so insecure about his emotions, that ego and anger become defence mechanisms. The 'chunar' playing in BG with Aastha feeling his presence and Shaurya's tears, make it one of the best scene's of the show.

I do not want to talk about anokhi's jaap. The way she pulls him is just WOW! Only if she would understand the complexity of the situation she is in.

Okay, this also got very long!

Absolutely agree with you. They should have given more coverage to Shan Astha when they come to know about riots. I fell in love with Shaurya during these episodes. Intensity of his emotions is so deep.

And Anokhi pulling him with all her strength when he is about to fall is my favourite moment. Shaurya's expressions were fab. She is not an ordinary girl. She is Anokhi.❤️

Don't want to talk about Ahir. I never liked him in earlier episodes. The cop they showed when Anokhi was caught in raid was much more sensible.

Despite everything wrong going in their lives it gave me a feeling of peace to see babli and Anokhi getting strength from each other whilst hiding the pain both are going through, Sibling love 👍🏼

Anokhi attributing her safety to Ahir and Shaurya jealous reaction tells me he has already fallen in love with her. The question is why? How? what is it that has made him so reactive, vulnerable to her. Is it her courage, her caring nature?

Though he recognises that she has a very sharp way of speaking and cannot understand her oferring him roses.

His expression when he realises it was meant for Ahir!!

Tera chehra... tells us everything we need to know about his feelings for Anokhi, since the last episodes the songs chosen points towards Shaurya's love for Anokhi, his need for her acceptance, her knowing he is not that brute he presents to the world, but a man who cares.

When Anokhi reproaches him for not having searched for aastha with him, I was saying WTF. He was there all the time protecting her, only for the last minute she left him and met with the explosion and assumed he had left... the girl can be so heartless.

When Shaurya bent down to explain how he felt, he showed all his passion and hurt and Anokhi was really uncomfortable as she could not understand where this is coming from. For Anokhi, Shaurya is her prof or aastha's son who needs to be put in his place because he does not respect his mother. She may be aware of him physically but caring for him is not present for the moment. Feel so sorry for Shaurya, because he is all affected by her.

Then hearing his mother is fine, the relief on his face then the slight smile showing his happiness. But the most heart wrenching one is hiding from his parents when he saw them coming. I think he would have broken down in tears if Shaan or aastha had taken one step towards him. Finally aastha sensing his presence and his one lone tear flowing down, killed it for me.

Then Anokhi had to come and mess up with him. just as well aastha told her so. She needed someone to put her in her place since she has been taking too much for granted when it comes to talking to Shaurya...

One of the best episodes in terms of KV's acting...

Anokhi and her selective amnesia paired with Shaurya and his slow realization. She's regressing in their relationship and he's progressing.

Anokhi replayed memories, but only after Shaurya "abandoned" her. Maybe her trauma made her erase memories of Shaurya protecting her during the riots. She remembers Ahir "saving" her. I like that Anokhi's instinct is to always says thank you and sorry. Her gratitude may be misplaced with Ahir, but it's a great character trait to have. Flowers continue to come between ShaKhi. First the birthday flowers thrown at Anokhi. Then the single rose that ends up in the trash and builds resentment in Shaurya. Later we'll see the yellow flowers.

ShaKhi + Tera chehra = A match made me heaven! Let's replay!

meri bechainiyon ko chain mil jaaye, tera chehra jab nazar aaye

He inquires about her health. She's resistant. "Jab fikar karne ki zaroorat thi, tab to aap ne ki nahi"

mere deewanepan ko sabr mil jaaye, tera chehra jab nazar aaye

He looks disappointed that she would have such a low opinion of him. He asks her if she really believes that he left her half way.

zikr tumhara jab jab hota hai, dekho na aankhon se, bheega bheega pyaar beh jaata hai

She stands by her selective memories. He tries to defend his words and actions.

meri tanhaiyon ko noor mil jaaye, tera chehra jab nazar aaye

"Mujhe chod ke jaane ki koyi zaroorat nahi thi.....lekin tu meri sunti kaha ho....tumhare zid ke aage, tumhare bhi nahi chalti"

main raat-din ye duaa karun, tere liye main jiyoon maroon
chaaron pehar tujhe dekha karoon, mera jahaan ye tujhpe fanaa karoon

Anokhi continue to credit Ahir and Shaurya looses his cool. When he holds his arm, Anokhi for a split second displays concern and asks about an injury.

zikr tumhara jab jab hota hai, dekho na honThon pe tera ehsaas, reh jaata hai

Shaurya shrugs it off. "Nahi, mujhe nahi dard hota"

mere har raaste ko manzil mil jaaye, tera chehra jab nazar aaye

"Mujhe kyu dard hoga? Main to pathar dil hoon. Aur pathar dil logon ko dard nahi hota"

berang hawayein mujhe naa jaane, de gayi sadaa kyun abhi abhi
hai sarfaroshi ye aashiqui bhi, jaayegi jaan meri isme kabhi

zikr tumhara jab jab hota hai, dekho har lamha teri daastaan, keh jaata hai
meri har ik taDap ko sukoon mil jaaye, tera chehra jab nazar aaye

"Tum jaanti bhi ho, ke mujhpe kya guzari thi? Shayad tum zindagi bhar nahi jaan paogi. Agar tumhe kuch ho jata to main apne aap ko........" So much left unsaid.

His words indicated that he never expected reciprocation. But he got that care and love from her. She did understand the fear he experienced when he was kidnapped and she went searching for him.

Shaurya + Aastha + Chunar = Magical combination!

Shaurya was so thrown off hearing that Aastha has been found. He feels free to display that happiness only in the hallway. Chunar plays and he remembers his mother with tears in his eyes. He has so many feelings that are buried deep. It's heartbreaking that when he sees Aastha, he hides himself. Maybe he's remembering Anokhi's words that Aastha would runaway if she saw him. So he hid his heart, so that no one else would have to deal with him. Love that Aastha had the ITV mom Spidey sense!

Side notes:

~ Shaan is so worked up when he finds Aastha. It reminds me of how crazy Shaurya was when Anokhi was missing. Like father like son! They love hard and deep.

~ I love the genuine concern that Anokhi and Aastha have for each other.

~ I can't believe that Ahir took credit for getting Anokhi to the hospital, totally bypassing the fact that Shaurya carried her in. At least he let Shaan have credit that he's the one who found Aastha, not Ahir.

~ The ShaKhi confrontation in the hallway will continue so won't talk too much about it. Two poignant lines were uttered by Shaurya. He said he always follows his heart, which he does with Anokhi. Also that he would give a deserving person a sorry without having to be told, which he does during the kidnapping scene and bridge scene.

The sisters share an adorable bond and they can feel each other’s pain especially Anokhi… when she cares and loves someone she does it with her whole heart. Be it Astha, her sister or later her ps.

Being aware that the thank you note was for Ahir it felt really bad that ss would be disappointed reading that. Ahirrrr… when he gave credit to Shaan for tracing Astha why did he not give credit to Ss? Why did he have to say to Astha and Shaan that he took Anokhi in the car?

Ahir an incompetent cop… how true is that. Alok and Shaan got the information even before the cops and they reached Astha. Shaan completely drained after the turmoil he went through in the whole process of searching Astha is relieved. He loves her so deeply that 25 years of separation couldn’t weaken the intensity of his love. And Alok all of a sudden bhabhiji from tum?

Ss’s dilemma whether he should leave or stay back and he thinks it through like a professor and decides to stay. After all dil ka mamla hain.. he doesn’t realise though that he is falling for her.

Both are disappointed with each other.. Ss …for Anokhi thinking Ahir is her saviour while Anokhi thinking he left her in the riots. Instead of being happy that they are safe why do they care so much? He even attributed her stupidity to her new acquaintances( Ahir) and she understood. Along with the physical hurt his heart is deeply hurt for the fact that she acknowledges Ahir instead of him for the help. But how could she? She thinks Ahir helped her out. But did she forget that Ss was with her and shielded her through out? His anger is actually for Ahir for not revealing the truth but directed towards the wrong person. His remarks that he is stone hearted and can’t feel the pain and do you really think I left you is a result of the pain that she misunderstood him.

Shaurya… he shields away his heart and emotions so much that he couldn’t express his relief and happiness in front of Anokhi but later shed it through his tears.

Why did Astha give gyaan to Anokhi today about how to talk to elders and not that day in Gurdaspur? Is it now that he is her teacher and she doesn’t want Anokhi to mess up. Or it might be that Astha who has seen his painful side on birthday doesn’t want to push him deeper by Anokhi guilt tripping him?
