Shaurya can really be very savage when he is angered.

He looked down upon Anokhi when he asked her to explain economics in 'Hindi' alluding to her pindu characteristic and if I am not wrong twice has referred to her as a pindu.

Shaan is so good at provoking Shaurya, by asking Anokhi to sing, it was not necessary. But it was good to see Shaurya's shocked expression when he heard her. Maybe thinking how can she sing so sweetly. Now, her choice of song must have been the red rag to the bull and his trick question was asked with so much pleasure, since he was sure she will fail. he even looked at Tej as if saying, I have her cornered now...

How aghast he was was a pleasure to watch, especially with anokhi looking straight at him as if saying I know what you are trying to do but you will not succeed today.

Why did Anokhi asked them immediately after the interview how she did? That scene was not required.

Tej despite himself was showing his appreciation of Anokhi through his expression. Never once did he show any negativity towards Anokhi. To him she is a very bright student, full stop.

Alok is a very good comedian and he plays his stupid character really well. From my part it is N O, No, as if anyone would listen to him.

The highlights today was the extreme happiness of Anokhi and the utter despair of Shaurya. Anokhi desperately needed someone close to hug and she was so restless.

How must you feel when you see your father blessing a complete stranger whilst not giving a f**** about you all your life.

Shaurya has realised he is going to lose all the peace, happiness because of Anokhi.

The problem is this is the first time his heart is involved. The meeting with Aastha must have triggered something in him

Now BM is unable to understand 'her' Shaurya. She is starting to feel the insecurity because ever since Shaurya has met Aastha and Anokhi he is not the same. She has recognised that her influence on him is not long lasting..

The picture is a treat for the eyes....

So I'm not sure I agree that Anokhi herself touched a cord in him. At this point, I think it's all related to Aastha. He might be impressed with her mind after that interview, but emotionally, I think he's wrecked because of his mother. Just my take on it though.

At the moment it is definitely not love but she has got under his skin...

That breaks my heart. Remember how Shaurya shows his dad his magazine cover/article and says pay attention to your son sometimes too. You can hear the yearning in that statement. Shaan was always quick to point out whenever Shaurya was wrong! Maybe it's just their father-son dynamic. Multiple times they've asked, who's the father, who's the son. Shaan regressed in those 25 years while Shaurya matured too fast. Which is why I loved seeing the immature Shaurya come out when it came to Anokhi!

I am glad we didn't make too much of Shaan-Shaurya later on. I think I would have cried buckets for Shaurya. How true! The real Shaurya, the funny, petty and immature guy, only came out infront of Anokhi. She handled him the way he wanted to be handled since he was a kid Because they was he is indebt to TejVi, I don't think he ever acted like a ziddi baccha, demanding things or fought in petty manner with them 💔

The interview continued and Anokhi continued to shine. Some highlights were....

- What is economics? Personally I don't understand anything economics, finance, business related, but the explanation by Anokhi had me so enthralled. Whoever wrote that scene did a wonderful job. Even Alok learned something! Tej and Shaurya were taken back and Shaan was so impressed! Shaurya met his mental match , someone as smart as him.

- "Yeh drama audition nahi chal raha" reminded me of the sindoor shaadi scene were they talked about it not being debate or drama competition. Shaurya's anger was peeking through during this scene. 😆 Not anokhi's fault but who is made to sing in an interview ?? 🤣

- "Password ko hindi mein kya kehte hai?" was probably something the viewers expected since it was shown in the shows promos. That Shaurya smirk! And then Anokhi stops him in his tracks with that answer. That smirk got wiped off real quick!👏 Cv's gave shaurya the same dhoka that they give the fandom :P

Shaurya is a smart man. I think he himself did not come cross someone as brilliant as her and hence was overconfident that she would fail. We have to understand, Shaurya knew what a password is called in hindi, he is well read himself but his ego, DEAR GOD!!! Sometimes this makes me wonder, did Anokhi also admire him for this? For he was most probably the most well read male she had ever come across who actually belived in importance of education. Did that thought make a place in her head?

Another thing, while she was confident, I think she crossed a big line with the debate comment. You dont take such liberties in a "professional" environment. I have always felt that this about her during this time. (aka interview episodes)

Alok and Shaurya on one side and Shaan on another working to convince Tej really shows their family dynamics. Shaurya does have a zaati dushmani with Anokhi, bringing up the library scene as if Shaan didn't give permission. Anokhi didn't break the rules, Shaan did. Alok is all about adding gasoline to any fire by calling Anokhi oversmart and she will spoil the other kids. Shaan is his righteous self pointing out how he couldn't have prepped Anokhi for the interview because Shaurya prepped the questions and he only saw it in the interview room. Tej is all about SIAC and what's good for it so Shaan's speech about Anokhi's exceptionalism is going to win over Shaurya and Alok's weak arguments.

Alok is the mischef maker but the problem is his execution and his luck, both are awful. What i fail to understand is that, i can clearly see shaan can fight when he wants to, so why put his son through so much pain. No wonder Shaurya hates anokhi. While I agree, that tej is all about SIAC, but that comment from that teacher about Shaurya's personal vendatta , i feel had some weightage. What is tomorrow Anokhi told the world, why exactly shaurya hates her? Tej is more about reputation than anything else and also has a lot of forethought. I dont think he expected anokhi to impact shaurya because he was raised a "saberwaal"

When Anokhi learned she passed the interview.........the stunned look and the tears in her eyes......made me so happy for her. Someone hug her!! And the slow song:

One of the things i love about this track, its about dreams. Anokhi's love for her dreams is so pure. she does not want the world, she just wants to be independent. Its so pure!

When Shaurya saw the happy scene between Shaan and Anokhi, my heart broke for him. I wondered how much he must have yearned for his dad's attention and care. The smile and pride in Shaan for Anokhi is rightfully Shaurya's. I'm confused by Shaan's look to Shaurya though. He looked smug, like he won something over his son. That doesn't seem very paternal to me. It looks like Shaan never understood his son.

Shaan blessed Anokhi as a father, it was so evident. I dont think he has ever blessed Shaurya. His eyes teared up ( KV is execptional in emotional scenes in SAAKK). You are right Shaan does not "know" shaurya, and that is why he thinks his son is an egoist who is not capable of love. The worst part, Shaurya tries to love shaan, he took care of Shaan as a father. He never got an apology either from Shaan or aastha! ( Salty about that too!)

The fast version with Anokhi dancing is such a sweet scene, but it was salt on Shaurya's wounds. That almost run in on the steps as Shaurya struts off ignoring Anokhi was done so well.

This boy, this boy is Devi's shaurya. He wants what he wants. He tries to force his brain to think this girl was sent to torment him by his mother but deep down he is just jelous that his parents stand for her. But how can Devi's shaurya show emotions? How can he show care and comcern for his negligent parents?

Shaurya's meltdown was inevitable. He's like a predator that lost his prey as he walks into his room....all agitated! Glasses off, replaying scenes, jacket off, throwing the vase!! His dialogue to Devi about his feelings that "mera sukh, mera chain, mera araam, meri khushiyaan, sab mujhse cheen li jaaye". If only he knew how much happiness and peace he was going to receive through Anokhi being in his life. Devi tried to talk to Shaurya but it's funny how he just continued ranting about his dad. "Agar vo apne retirement chod kar, iss institute me wapas aaye to, woh wajah mein hoon, lekin nahi, wajah hi koyi aur nikhli". That is the root of Shaurya's anger. He did everything in the last 25 years without his father's support and Shaan slumbered through it all. When Shaan did wake up, it wasn't for his son, but for a stranger. As a child, that has to hurt the most that after being abandoned by one parent and neglected by another, both of them stood tall for someone else. So it has to feel like it wasn't that his parents couldn't support someone, it was that there's something wrong with him that they didn't support him. It was specific to him. The level of therapy this would take to untangle!

Did you notice that Devi was hearing him but not listening to him! She tries to instigate him without understanding that his boy just wanted his father's attention. If she were smart, she would have noticed this and spoken to shaan. As i said earlier, Shaan needed to apologise for the neglect but never did. Call it instinct, but Devi noticed it first, Shaurya was affected by a nobody. While she feared that this would lead to aastha coming back, if shaurya started getting affected by Anokhi so much, i guess it took her some time to realisw where it was actually going and the rest we know.

Precap: Prospectus!!

I am in black!

Exactly! Even i keep thinking the same! He never cared because he was DRUNK!! till Aastha called. BAD PARENTING 101!

I'm reminded of this picture as soon as I read your line!

Shaurya did display so many emotions during that interview. It's a testament to KVs (and Deba's) acting that we were so absorbed in the scenes.

I do not understand how Devi can keep harping on Shaurya being abandoned. You would think a smarter tactic would be for him to never remember than and feel utmost love and loyalty to Devi as a mother. But she has turned it into a karz which comes back to bite her because he spends 25 years yearning for unconditional love.

You're soooooo right. Shaan really only had emotional loyalty to his wife. His kid never mattered to him. I also feel he must blame Shaurya a little. Aastha didn't stick around even for her own kid, making that kid less valuable in Shaan's eyes. I know that sounds a little evil, but I feel like Shaan not apologizing for how he messed up to Shaurya shows how unimportant Shaurya's feelings were to him.

This is a very mature take on the situation and i think this is very probable! WOW!

The stopping short part cracks me up because in the future, most of the future run-ins end with Shaurya having to catch her!!

So I'm not sure I agree that Anokhi herself touched a cord in him. At this point, I think it's all related to Aastha. He might be impressed with her mind after that interview, but emotionally, I think he's wrecked because of his mother. Just my take on it though.

They really should have solved shastha, it really feels unfinished. And yes, Shaan was so drunk for 25 years that i dont think he even knew how his son grew and then he expected his son to touch his feet first.

If Shaurya hates aastha, half the credit goes to shaan! And honestly, aastha was strong yes, i stand with her in that decision. She was a great woman but a really BAD mother. I dont buy the crap about a better life. She had ego issues of her own and Shaurya suffered. Atleaset unlike shaan she does not call out shaurya on his douche like behaviour as she knows she has no right to. Because she was never there.

Actually never thought of it this way. Aastha must have wrecked his facade and made him face unpent emotions. So maybe anything connected to Aastha caused the same reaction.

If there was a showdown between Shaurya and Shaan, I would have been in the same position as you. KV is so good in the emotional scenes that I am certain it would have left us drained at the end of it.

I remember when he went to see Aastha in ICU, just him wiping a tear, his expression and the background song chunar had me crying my eyes out..
