This episode had three confrontations, all tied together by Shaurya and Anokhi.

SHAKHI MEETING!! When our pindu Anokhi Bhalla took on SIAC director Shaurya Sabherwal. It's such a memorable meeting. The face to face at the door and him just walking past her made me remember that in the future he does the same thing. At least with SIAC library, he can claim ownership. But he did the same thing at Shaan's flat and Anokhi's hostel. It's just the Shaurya way!

So many memorable lines were delivered:

"Yahaan ke log itne ruke kyu hai?" "Main tumhe ruka dikh raha hoon"

"Main layak hoon sir"

"Get the hell out of this campus.....now!"

After having a back and forth conversation, Shaurya puts together all the correct pieces to deduce that Anokhi is the girl from Gurdaspur, the one who argued with him, she's Aastha's student, she's at SIAC because of Aastha's recommendation through Shaan, etc. This wasn't the first time he's kicked her out of a place.....he'll kick her out of his classroom and his office. But he'll also drag her back with an apology and marry her on the SIAC premises. This is the start of ShaKhi and SIAC!!

SHAAN and SHAURYA!! Shaurya called his dad a 'remote control' and a 'puppet'. But the line that hits the hardest is him thinking his dad showed up to SIAC "apne bete ke liye". How let down must Shaurya have felt that Shaan Sabherwal only woke up from his slumber for the wife that left him and for her student, but never for his son. And the heartbreak of "aap beta sirf kehte hai Dad, mante bilkul nahi hai". Aastha was placed above everyone for Shaan and that's where he failed the greatest. Shaan's silence when Shaurya accuses his mother of choosing her career over them, continues to be a mystery. I will chalk it up to Shaan just being spineless. To elongate the drama, Shastha never talked about what happened 25 years ago. And the closing line by Shaurya that Shaan again "akela chod diya mujhe" was so sad. He's the poor little rich kid.

SABHERWALS!! Their dynamics are interesting in the family. Kanchan and Gayatri are in the kitchen. Shaan and Alok in their own worlds. Tej pretends to be progressive, but his commands are followed unquestionably. Devi is running around serving her husband. Yash just walks in and out and the twins are in the background. As the Shaan and Shaurya confrontation spills over in front of all of them, why does Alok feel the need to remind Shaurya that he was abandoned? And why doesn't Shaan ever finish his sentence "Aastha uski marzi se nahi gayi this, usse....." ?

Side note:

~ Cute little Ghoongre and rose day sequence. Anokhi looked like a fish out of water.

~ Tej okayed Anokhi's interview!! He has no idea what kind of opening he has given.

~ Shaurya talked about SIAC interview based on merits.......what merit does the twins have other than being Sabherwals?

The in love Shaurya parallels to this scene have all my heart!!

And Anokhi’s yahan ke log time rukhe kyun hain. Shaurya got so offended by that. 🤣🤣🤣

Righttttt! The guy who kicks her out the first time literally drags her back eventually!

I don’t blame Shaurya here for being disappointed in his father. I would be too, in his place.

This entire episode had memorable and hard hitting lines. We were still trying to figure out Shaurya here.

"Main layak hoon sir" - The tussel of words, ego vs ability starts here. Nikki is a fighter and honestly Shaurya is also right, why should he bend the rules for her? Who was she? These neither right nor wrong conversations have my heart!

Anokhi is amazing. She has no fears about standing up for herself. I appreciate that she knows her self worth. She knows she’s more qualified but circumstances were against her and a chance is all she needs. Her confidence is admirable

Shaurya aur Shaan - The hurt son is fuming and he is right. He thought finally his father left his drunken state for him, but no!. He did it for a random nobody on his mother's say. This also shows much much Shaurya loves shaan as he holds him mother responsible for destroying shaan's life.I loved how Shaan stood up for Anokhi. She gave him a purpose too in a open ended way. I honestly think Tej said a yes to the interview as he was overconfident that anokhi will fail and it would be another win for tej over shaan. Devi used this situation too, to mess up Sahurya's mind (she has no redemption in my heart)

This entire scene was heartbreaking! I had yet to fully figure out Shaurya so these small glimpses of his painful childhood really made him a flawed human, instead of just an ass.

Side note 3: Shaan almost spilled the beans on what actually happened back then!!😲 (we shall never know maybe?)

So frustrating to know that we never learned the truth!

I think i went overboard, but i love this episode!! actually the entire interview series!

I do too. The upcoming episodes from interview to entrance are my favorites!!

Righttttt! Such a great episode.

I found it funny that Anokhi was giving Ravi the assurance and guarantee that nothing would happen to them, this is the belief in her that she can do something, when she is in no position to influence any decision regarding Ravi and Pandey.

I was thinking the same thing. She was comforting them with no real power. She was just sure that even when breaking rules, if it’s for the right thing, it works out. Anth bhala to sab bhala!

His choice of 'classic example of remote control' is spot on. Shaurya believes his mother has only profited from her relationship with Shaan and repeating the same now. This sounds more like he is parroting Devi's words. So ingrained is this thought in him that aastha has been only using them for her career.

We are literally the same person! I had the exact thought! Shaurya was just channeling Devi’s thoughts and words.

Alok: I feel like strangling him. The way he said that aastha left you and your son and Devi took care of Shaurya. It made Shaurya feel like he is a charity case who has been taken up by Devi.

The hurt of Shaurya was so palpable...

KV is too good in emotional scenes...

Yes!! Sane wavelength! Why must everyone remind him that he was abandoned? Imagine hearing that for 25 years. No wonder he felt a karz!

A regressive person for women in his own family but progressive for outside world? If you didn’t know Mr Tej Sabherwal change should first start from your home.

One thing I’ve noticed about Tej is if you don’t know about his ulterior motives you would believe him to be a righteous person. He always seems to support the right,be it giving a chance to Anokhi for interview or anything later. But his affirmation to Shaurya as to keeping faith in his uncle(Tej) gives away his motive.

Tej is a piece of work. Acts all progressive and righteous. He gets things done without get his hands dirty or tarnishing his image.

Though unwilling he was listening to her till she pointed out she can’t reveal how she knew Shaan Sabherwal. He mind worked at supersonic speed as he realised his encounter with her at Gurdaspur. Here we get to see the actual Karela Mr Shaurya Sabherwal. His hatred towards Astha is such that he can literally spew venom with his words at anyone in front of him. He didn’t hesitate to say that she can never get an admission based on Asthas recommendation. In this scene we get to see the persistent, tenacious Anokhi she is. She continuously gives him the list of all the positives so he can consider her as a prospective student. We also get to see her confidence when she says she only wants an admission based on how she does in the interview. How righteous she is when she says that it’s wrong to reject someone based on personal enemities. No one ever dared to put forth these to Mr Shaurya Sabherwal and these are the qualities in Anokhi that got SS out of his shell later on and reveal his true self. It was like introducing a new him to himself who was lost in his hatred for his mother. May be that’s the reason why he fell so hard for her.

I loved their entire exchange. It sets up their future equation too. Anokhi is always mature and puts forth her arguments. She appeals to his sensible and righteous side. He can be very immature when he’s blinded by his Aastha hatred.

You’re so right that she introduced the real him to Shaurya. The man who could see past hatred. She brought out facets of his personality that were new or maybe he hid from others.

Till the end of the show, I felt that Shaan needs to make up for a lot with Shaurya. From the start he has been there for Anokhi. Forst as the means who brought Aastha back in touch with him and next as his daughter in law. But somewhere, he failed his son.

Yes, Shaurya was utterly let down when he realized that the woman who left him and his son behind was why he abandoned his flask of liquor. But what hurt him more was his his lack of understanding towards his situation. Shaan wasn't even apologetic for being neglectful towards Shaurya. One phone call and Aastha had his entire attention and dedication.

It hurts my heart for Shaurya - the son who got left behind.
