What held up Shaan not give a call to Astha in 25 years inspite of so much love for her? Was it guilt that he couldn’t stand and support her in her decision? The same goes for Astha. Was it her disappointment in him that stopped her or did she hold herself back just to let them live in peace? Was she under the impression that if she didn’t interfere in their lives, their lives could be better as she was very well aware of the manipulative and evil side of Devi and tej?

Astha is the practical one among the two and even though initially hesitant she took one step forward for Anokhi and called Shaan. Shaan though happy to see Asthas call was worrried and asked if she was fine.he seems to be the more emotional one. He was a bit upset that she didn’t ask how he was. Astha didn’t really show interest to dig into the past and very much present in her present. Where as Shaan seems to have been stuck with her memories and didn’t move on.

Astha doesn’t hesitate to ask for a favour and she reminds him of it as her right which she didn’t get in all the 25 years. She treated Anokhi as her daughter. No wonder how Anokhi has such respect and love for her guru and a mother figure and wanted to unite a mother with her son. This is where all the Astha mam jaap comes from. ( when I started watching I felt Astha mam jaap a bit too much as I didn’t watch the initial episodes in full. Now that I’m watching complete episodes I can connect with it).

At the end of the Conversation finally Shaan gets to hear what he expected and it gives him a sense of content and happiness.

@bold: I think there's a consensus that we needed more of the Shastha story!! We were cheated. So much to show and explore.

This episode also made me sad for the story of Shastha we were robbed of. I wanted to see the transformation of Shaan from the brooding lover to the upstanding husband. I wanted to see the mini Sabherwal foursome that Shastha and ShaKhi would make! When Aastha asked Shaan for his help and called Anokhi a daughter, I loved Shaan's response. "Apne beta ka na sahi, kisike Ma banne ka mauka to mila tumhe" Aastha also responded that she stepped back to make Shaan and Shaurya's life easier. If only she knew how uneasy it really was for them. These conversations needed to continue. We needed to know the issue that caused Aastha to make the decision and why Shaan didn't walk out with her. That's a loose end that needs tying up still.

This. Oh god this even I wanted to learn about more. Shastha were left so open ended. Those uneasy conversations, that love that both of them could feel, that absolute trust on each other. What a beautifully scripted couple!

Same...I want to know, if she stalked shaurya during school, she must have seen shaan too right? How did she not know. She kept tabs on shaurya and not shaan? That is weird. I am sure shaan turned an alcoholic when shaurya was growing up so..he must be absent form his events (seems like it from the initial episodes). So a lot of unanswered questions.

Side note:

~ The Bhallas' neighbors are such nice people. They called out Ramesh's behavior. Everyone knows about him locking up his daughter and hitting his wife. But all Ramesh Bhalla cares about is his izzat and won't even take the blame for his part in this whole debacle. Those neighbours were the only sensible ones around

~ Why do people keep staring at a ringing phone before picking up? What is this show's dushmani with technology?🤣🤣 it's a Saakk thing?

~ Shaan promised the SIAC interview..........so looking forward to that episode.......it makes me so giddy thinking about it!!

~ Jugni Anokhi is about to take off with the blessings of her Mummyji and her guru!! 🥺🥺😍 Her confidence is amazing

Precap: ShaKhi train ride! You mean writers trolling the fd🤣

He knew his mom was the reason Anokhi was in his life. Aastha, for the sake of Anokhi, did something she didn't do for 25 years. Not even for her son. No wonder Shaurya gets envious of the Anokhi and Aastha connection.

@underline: I don't think he felt anything. SAAKK wasn't a Ekta or Gul show! So they never did the 'feeling the presence' or "touching and electricity' gag. There was literally nothing between ShaKhi until after the ragging episode.

@bold: This is why I sometimes get irritated with Anokhi and understand Shaurya's angst. How can a mother cut all ties with her son and shower so much on a stranger? I understand she is there to advise Anokhi, but the relation was more than just a teacher-student type between Aastha and Anokhi.

Aastha was angry with Shaan and knowing the Sabherwal still did not fight for her son, if not living with him at least forcing the issue to see him.

The way Shaan talked about astha having the chance to be a mother to somebody else, it felt like he was pushed aside by tej and Devi where Shaurya was concerned...

@pink. I do not think any feeling is involved at the moment, more a sensation of a presence. At the moment there is more irritation towards Anokhi than anything else.
