Shaan is sitting in his room and listening to some old songs. It is clear from their conversation that Shaan is still in the past and Aastha is in the present.

Certain questions remained unanswered till the end. Why did Shaan not leave the house with Aastha? What was the reason for him to obey his elder brother and leave his wife? I am sure it was not for money or status. He had spent the last 25 years separated from Aastha, thinking about her and ignoring his son .And was Aastha under the assumption that Shaan and Shaurya were leading a happy life?

She stalked his childhood and yet never knew how much he missed her. Breaks my heart.

Loved the way how Aastha helped Anokhi. Such a strong and independent lady.

I always wondered the same, who is to be blamed for all of this? What happened such that Shaan could not even meet Aastha in 25 years, could not take Shaurya to meet his mom ? He let Devi manipulate him. I am assuming he was drunk throughout. Shaan is to be blamed for his own mistakes.

The start of the episode is summed up in one line for Bhallas, had Rami Bhalla taken pride in his daughter's achievements, he won't not have faced "shame" ( not that there was a reason to, as Monty was a disease).

Aastha, I am in awe. How Anokhi trust her. What Aastha has been fighting for all her life tests her today. Can she let this girl go just because she does not want to associate with the Sabarwals or she she break her silence. Very Practically she told anokhi...going to Chandigarh is not enough more is required for an admission.

Shahnoor❤️ Shaan is the past, aastha the present. She is reason and he the wild heart. The conversation was so difficult for her and so soothing for him. He is living in guilt. She is too. It's almost adorable how she complaints to him that she never asked him anything in 25 years. Again reason as he reiterated the same about admissions. Your heart breaks a little when he says atleast she got to be a mother to someone because you realise that Shaan did not even get to be a father to his own son. And the last how are you? 💔

Bhalla clan, no point trying to find nikki...she flew awayyyyyy

Side note 1 : The shakhi hit and miss and maakhan..lol

So honestly this is where I started realising that anokhi is also very impromptu kind of person. She always does not have a plan...she just goes without think of what problems she might face. (As pointed by Aastha in car)

Precap: we are going to get trolled big time, those who know, know🤣

Lovely episode. The highlight for me was the convo between Shaan and Aastha, such a mature couple still in love with each other, missing each other, Awww.

Shaan was just the majnu we have been seeing in a drunken state so far. Today when Aastha asked him how he was it was like, finally she is showing some feeling. Shaan knows aastha has cut all ties with him because he did not support her in her hour of need and now he will do for Anokhi what he could not do for Aastha. So fate has it that Shaan needed to have been separated with Aastha so that Anokhi has the support for enter Shaurya's life. the intricacy of the storyline is so tied up and the connection so spot on.

By the way did Shaurya feel the presence of Anokhi when she was walking behind him?

Now for Rami Bhallah, despite being told off by the neighbours about how your wife and daughter should be treated, he was only thinking about his honour, how his daughter made him look like a fool. Good that Ramma was reflecting on the fact that had he listened to his daughter and gave her her due, nothing like this would have happened.

Today we could see what a big dilemma Aastha was in following Anokhi's wish to study in SIAC. What she has been avoiding for 25 years will now be her new reality.

Anokhi takes her strentgh from two women her mum and her guru, what more do you need? Matarani is there in their form...

This picture shows Aastha practical nature versus Shaan's amorous nature.

Anokhi’s angels, her mother and sister are at ease somewhere even in a situation full of tension that their darling daughter/sister has been saved from falling prey to Monty.

There is a sense of relief that along with misogynists like Bhalla, vineet and Raja, there are others who care and show concern that a girls life was about to be destroyed. They were sensible enough to acknowledge Anokhis achievements and gave a piece of mind to Bhalla that such acts of violence are unacceptable. There was a fleeting moment of hope where I thought Bhalla might feel happy that Anokhi escaped. It’s his respect in society that he is really worried about. I would rather hang my head in shame if I were in his place for what might have transpired on Anokhi if she were trapped into that marriage. It was a final nail in the coffin to his character. Salty how they could redeem him at all.

Will do it in parts as I don’t have enough time in hands

Astha and Shaan a great story that was left unexplored… need season 2 for this and much more.

What held up Shaan not give a call to Astha in 25 years inspite of so much love for her? Was it guilt that he couldn’t stand and support her in her decision? The same goes for Astha. Was it her disappointment in him that stopped her or did she hold herself back just to let them live in peace? Was she under the impression that if she didn’t interfere in their lives, their lives could be better as she was very well aware of the manipulative and evil side of Devi and tej?

Astha is the practical one among the two and even though initially hesitant she took one step forward for Anokhi and called Shaan. Shaan though happy to see Asthas call was worrried and asked if she was fine.he seems to be the more emotional one. He was a bit upset that she didn’t ask how he was. Astha didn’t really show interest to dig into the past and very much present in her present. Where as Shaan seems to have been stuck with her memories and didn’t move on.

Astha doesn’t hesitate to ask for a favour and she reminds him of it as her right which she didn’t get in all the 25 years. She treated Anokhi as her daughter. No wonder how Anokhi has such respect and love for her guru and a mother figure and wanted to unite a mother with her son. This is where all the Astha mam jaap comes from. ( when I started watching I felt Astha mam jaap a bit too much as I didn’t watch the initial episodes in full. Now that I’m watching complete episodes I can connect with it).

At the end of the Conversation finally Shaan gets to hear what he expected and it gives him a sense of content and happiness.

I'm still one episode behind. Will catch up soon!!

This episode had two moms doing what they could for Anokhi! Mummyji and her guru were looking out for her. Rama lied to protect both her daughters from harm. It was nice to see her trying to protect Babli from Ramesh and Vineet. For SIAC admission, Aastha stepped up for Anokhi. She made that call to Shaan after 25 years. It may be an ehsaan, but Shaan also came through for Anokhi.

This episode also made me sad for the story of Shastha we were robbed of. I wanted to see the transformation of Shaan from the brooding lover to the upstanding husband. I wanted to see the mini Sabherwal foursome that Shastha and ShaKhi would make! When Aastha asked Shaan for his help and called Anokhi a daughter, I loved Shaan's response. "Apne beta ka na sahi, kisike Ma banne ka mauka to mila tumhe" Aastha also responded that she stepped back to make Shaan and Shaurya's life easier. If only she knew how uneasy it really was for them. These conversations needed to continue. We needed to know the issue that caused Aastha to make the decision and why Shaan didn't walk out with her. That's a loose end that needs tying up still.

Side note:

~ The Bhallas' neighbors are such nice people. They called out Ramesh's behavior. Everyone knows about him locking up his daughter and hitting his wife. But all Ramesh Bhalla cares about is his izzat and won't even take the blame for his part in this whole debacle.

~ Why do people keep staring at a ringing phone before picking up? What is this show's dushmani with technology?

~ Shaan promised the SIAC interview..........so looking forward to that episode.......it makes me so giddy thinking about it!!

~ Jugni Anokhi is about to take off with the blessings of her Mummyji and her guru!!

Precap: ShaKhi train ride!

These unanswered questions still haunt the fandom! Makes it so hard to let go. They didn't do justice to Shastha!!

I still don't forgive Shaan for not being a father to Shaurya. But besides that, I love his pining for his Noor. I loved their first conversation. He jumped and said hi and how are you and she waited until the end to return that question. Aastha very much seems like the reserved mature person in their relationship while Shaan showcases a restless energy. This very much parallels ShaKhi!!

@bold: I loved that way Shasta played their role in bringing ShaKhi together. Remember how Shaurya acknowledged that after the proposal scene too. He knew his mom was the reason Anokhi was in his life. Aastha, for the sake of Anokhi, did something she didn't do for 25 years. Not even for her son. No wonder Shaurya gets envious of the Anokhi and Aastha connection.

@underline: I don't think he felt anything. SAAKK wasn't a Ekta or Gul show! So they never did the 'feeling the presence' or "touching and electricity' gag. There was literally nothing between ShaKhi until after the ragging episode.
