I think this is when I hated Ramesh Bhalla the most.

He wants to get rid of his daughter so bad, that he doesn’t care what sort of guy he is marrying her off too. Disgusting!! He did not deserve to be redeemed so easily!!

He had the nerve to call his daughter a liar. And to think that she purposely ruins everything. His redemption makes me angrier as the episodes progress.

When I had seen Raja first time, I thought maybe he was a bit spoilt and reckless, but he would stand by his sister. But he was a total douche. No sister deserves a brother like him.

It would’ve been better to redeem Raja than Mr Bhalla.

Ya right!

Women are not rehabilitation centers for men. They don’t run a correctional facility so that men can be turned around. Nonsense!

I’ve heard this from so many girlfriends. The belief that the guy will change once they’re married or have kids. Why would you marry someone that doesn’t meet your standards in the first place? Girls get told they’re picky or have too high of a standard. People aren’t perfect but having some set standards is a good thing. Like a husband that isn’t a drunkard or someone that will “allow” you to further study.

My girl is rattled. Honestly how can she not be rattled. She was about to become a "glorified naukarani". But loved that she did not just burst in tears and curse her 'kismet'. She was in panic mode and shock and went to the only person she could trust in the moment. Her ma'am. Now when you look at it, here is. 19 yo who can't trust her family, is about to be sent to another country against her wish and is saved by Aastha only. No wonder she always fought shaurya for her and put her on a pedestal. While I am not saying it was completely right but she was literally given another life by Astha.

@bold/underline: THIS!! I totally see when the undying loyalty for Aastha ma'am comes from!

Ramesh Bhalla shoud not have been whitewashed. It was a crime. It was a sin. It was wrong on the makers part. I know they gave some justification, and I was like... okaaaaaaayyy not good enough but okay. Now...no ..NOT OKAY. His daughter came to him with one last hope and proof that she was being married off wrong but he did not care. Men don't change and nor was it Anokhi's job to change him. He locked her up because he knew she could run as she was unafraid. It's disgusting to see how Rami and Vineet treat their wives. How they are just objects. Again her parents have abandoned her to her fate, one is forced and other in helplessness.

@bold/underline: Preach sister!! I'm growing more and more agitated and angered towards Ramesh Bhalla and the undeserved redemption that man got.

Shaurya and his Nanaji. Again a nuanced moment. He almost lost his cool there. Almost. It was a well.acted scene.

KV emoted the hell out of this scene. The quiet nanaji coupled with the paper falling. Totally lost his cool!

Shaurya is being petty. He is acting out. He sees him mother after 25 years and now wants her to hurt the same way he did. I also feel he is seeking out her attention on purpose by hurting her. He loves her. It's quite evident. Infact too evident from his flashbacks. But parental abandonment is the worst kind of hurt.

They say "hurt people hurt people". It's a sad truth. Especially children who were given no tools to process the trauma of their childhood.

Aastha was herself stalking her son throughout without the sabarwals knowing so I am assuming she would have recognised him

Even I noticed the mehedi...it was quite funny! 😆 Honestly I would have loved to see Shaurya and Monty come face to face just for the kicks! 🤪

Her upbringing is the reason Aastha was able to be an independent woman and make a hard decision. Her education helped her find a job to support her parents. Unfortunately when she had a choice, she chose to stay loyal to the adults and not the child she brought into this world. That decision can never be justified.

Aastha gave the text from Shaan that weird look, so I assumed she confirmed that Shaurya was the same when she saw him in Gurdaspur. I think she only stalked him during his school days so I'm not sure if that continued onto college.

Exactly! Those that complained later about the way Anokhi questioned Shaurya never understood how traumatized the girl was. She trusted her Papaji and Bhaiyya and they were both so selfish. She trusted Monty and she discovered he was a liar. Why would she trust Shaurya after she saw him with Shagun? It looked just like what Monty was doing. Having her bring down her guard and then looking to humiliate her. I felt bad for Shaurya but Anokhi makes sense now.

What a heart touching moment it was when Ss meets his nanaji? We can feel the craving of a child needing to be loved and a sense of emotional attachment for a millisecond before Ss quickly gets back to his original self. His bitterness towards his mother doesn’t allow him to express the feelings towards his nanaji. His heart actually is so overflowing with love that he needs that special someone who can unconditionally love him to bring it all out. May be that’s the reason why he was not ready to let go of Anokhi and was ready to go to any extent for her.
Yes! This was one of the justifications for sindoor shaadi. He just heard that his love was reciprocated but yet she still walked away; very reminiscent of his mother. He lost his mind and took an extreme and regrettable step. Explains why Shaurya had an possessive nature!

Being an adult according to me puts in enough sense to think about situations and dilemmas. I still wonder did BM’s filth fill up his mind completely that there is no space left for his own thinking at all when it comes to Astha?

So I disagree here a bit. If someone left you behind and you were told a reason that was never negated, why would you think there was another side of the story? And why would you believe the person that abandoned you and stayed away for 25 years? At the end of the day, a 4 year old was abandoned by his parents and taken care of by guardians. The guardians are going to be held higher than parents. I don’t fault Shaurya for resisting Aastha. He’s the victim and parents are the culprit.

Scenes I really wished to see…

Ss with nana and nani YES!

After seeing nana saying to Anokhi that every girl is a princess to their father scene I really feel there should’ve been one where they would pamper Anokhi after marriage and Ss feels jealous Shaurya and Anokhi need to visit Kapurthala together in season 2!!

Salty that they didn’t explore shastha backstory and Ss knowing the proper truth about why Astha left and role of BM Bp

Yes! We needed a real story here!

How could they redeem senior Bhalla

Why was Raja given a free pass

I would have taken a Raja redemption over Ramesh!

Hope we get. Season 2 and they properly explore all stories

🤞🏾

The irony here is Mr. Bhalla is saying it.

Did he personally change or become a better person after marrying Rama Bhalla?

It’s appalling how parents like Mr. Bhalla have so less concern over their child’s future and well being. How casual he is about getting his daughter married off to a drunkard and asking her to change him.

You are right, there are so many girls who themselves believe this. So many women who bring a child into the marriage expecting that, that child would resolve their mutual issues. Makes me mad!!

And why shouldn’t a girl have standards? You are going to spend the rest of your life supposedly with that person, it’s imperative that you have standards that match your outlook in life.

I know right?

He didn’t deserve such an easy redemption.

I wanted to see him repent over choosing to support a wretched son like Raja.

I wanted to see him repent more. I wanted Anokhi to take more time to forgive him.
These episodes make me understand the depth of Anokhi’s pain and her insecurities even better.

After this episode, I wish we had little more of Aastha and ANokhi. She didn't go to her mom, sister or family... Instead she went to Aastha.

She knew her professor was the only one who would understand, give her the right advice and protect her.

She has more faith on Aastha than anyone else. And Aastha is always there to help her out even she didn't think about her own life.

right if we would get more Aastha and Anokhi scenes then it would be great.
