Astha sowed the seed of doubt in her mind and Dolly’s words gave some confirmation of the same.

Anokhi being the Anokhi she is checks on Monty to seek the truth and assurance.

Monty he is such an A******. Lucky that Nicky caught him talking all the crap and recorded his utterly obnoxious conversation with Dolly’s husband.

The only person who can really save her is Mr Bhalla. He himself turns against her and this leads to Nikki taking the reins and not trusting anyone especially men to be on her side.

The word allow and permission have been highlighted through out till now and Astha was shocked to know that a girl like Anokhi is seeking permission when she very well is aware that education is every girls right. Astha’s character is consistent in the sense that she is a strong supporter of women’s empowerment and wouldn’t want any girl to give up on her dreams. This along with her father’s ill treatment of girls leads to what Anokhi has actually become when she meets Shaurya.

@bold: I was saying the same thing. Anokhi that Shaurya meets is a mix of the strong student Aastha molded with the defeated daughter/woman that Mr.Bhalla's and Monty's actions created. She learned the hard way that she can only rely on herself. That's why her slow trust in Shaurya and her friendship with Ahir is character growth for her.

The entire point of their relationship!

The moment it was confirmed that Shaurya has the same thinking as the men of her family, she had started running miles away.... To preserve her heart and her dreams.

Men who were supposedly protecting her, were her family by blood... Didn't care to think how it would end up for her in future. They couldn't look beyond their own ego. Nobody really cared for her despite the 'love' they had for her...

It was always abt controlling her, putting her 'in place' and caging her. Rami Bhalla and Raja didn't care how Anokhi would be treated bcz they themselves never treated her well.

I think Anokhi's insecurities, more like PTSD as you rightly said, were downplayed or misunderstood as her lack of feelings for Shaurya. People kept saying that her feelings are not as intense as Shaurya's.

Isn't that prejudice as well?

Saying that emotionally strong women, practical women are insensitive? So to be really in love, a person is supposed to be blind and mindless?

I think not.

I always empathized with Anokhi because of this. She was put in a place where she had to choose between love and self-respect.

Men in her life have given her reasons to not trust them.

She thought practically, she thought of the future of their relationship and chose her self-respect.

This is so beautifully put! This. Was. The. Crux.

This girl was suppressed by every man in her life. She was treated as a burden. Ofcourse when she gets to know that the guy she fell for wants a a home maker she ran! It's self preservation and it's healthy.

Infact I always admired the fact that unlike Shaurya, anokhi could always walk away from him without ego, anger or resentment. Just walk away. That is strength and not emotional insensitivity. We are conditioned to see "love" on screen the way shaurya expresses it. It's not wrong but Anokhi's is not wrong too.

Thank you 😊

Exactly. That's why used to say, people are so used to mahan and crying FLs that they couldnt grasp that Anokhi put her own wellbeing ahead instead of "sudharo-fying" Shaurya and then marrying him.

People did not understand that it is NOT Anokhi's job to make Shaurya a better man or changing his soch. Shaurya is responsible for his own ideology.

People treated Anokhi's ability to hold her stand like a curse, only because it was hurting Shaurya. Some people could not see her point smiley12 when she clearly said that she can never change her soch, love would vanish in thin air once they start fight everyday.... THAT WAS SO PRACTICAL.

You have said exactly what i wanted to convey. Whenever a girl thinks about herself and her self respect she is characterized as insensitive, heartless by women. It is because we have been brought up still to think as the nurturer of all relationships.

I believe the audience for SAAKK would be a majority of female who have the tendency mostly to side by the ML especially if the FL comes out strong. I am not saying Anokhi was always right but she had a reason behind her actions.

I always thought that Shaurya failed miserably in their relationship, at least once. When BM announced his engagement to Shagun and he allowed bM to insult Anokhi. Even now just writing this down my heart aches with pain thinking of Anokhi....

Its all in the head. Tell me, how many women are actually sooooo goody-goody? Sooo OTT sacrificial for others?

But when they see another woman doing the same, judgements are passed that she is selfish and self-centered.

Even if that is true, what's wrong about it? Who else is gonna think about you, if not yourself? Who else will value your happiness like you value your own?

That is the part of Anokhi's character I admired the most. She was strong enough despite her deep love for Shaurya, to move away from him, when she realised he may be the shackles in her life. I remember her birthday when she was strong enough to face Shaurya and Shagun and walk away, That was an epic episode for me.

@bold: The problem with all FL in these itv soaps, the sacrifice and crying is the norm.

Anokhi was different and more like the type of FL I like. The type of woman who knows what she wants and where she want to be, and working towards it.

It was a hard pill to swallow but it was beautiful.

The strength she has is so admirable. Inspirational even. ❤️
