Shaan: the confusing character

I am unable to understand him. He loved Aastha but never took a stand for her. She was left with no option but to leave, after all she needed to take care of her parents

He did not pay any attention to his child. Now when his child is grown up and in love with someone, instead of supporting him, he wants him to get into a loveless marriage, because in the long run everything will be ok. But he himself could never get over his wife.

His so called family is playing mind games with his son. And he is Just a mute spectator.

No idea what CVs are planning with his character but for now he surely is being messed up person, failed husband, ignorant father. To some extent I understand he does not want his son to suffer but does engaging him in a loveless marriage an option. Even after knowing he is in love with someone else. He will be left tadapta anyway. 🙄

But when Shaan papa couldn't convince Shaurya to agree to marry Shagun when he was supposedly in love with her how does he even have any hope now, when he is clearly crazy for Anokhi?🤣

Hope they don't ruin his character. I really love him.😑

So far he seems complex and dumb tbh. His character seemed similar to Devdas in the beginning like he let go of everything when Astha left him but now that she's back can he pls come back to his senses?!?! Clearly, he doesn't care about Shaurya either bc all he wants for his son is not to end up alone and lonely like him.
