So Babli was literally on firešŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„ today.. i loved how finally someone could shut Mr. Rude up and dint let him be his usual Loud aggressive self (though he did that his signature shoulder grab😈)

But Babli was scene stealer... How well she articulated everything and so fantastically put her point across. I loved her soooooooo much. Loved each and every word she spoke.. from reminding Anokhi her aim to study, to make her realize why she ran from her marriage, to recall what type of men these had so far in life.

Finally someone spoke from real life experience on the ground of harsh reality. Unlike Anokhi who hardly had any experience with how Men are out there, who is still dreaming of the most beautiful, flowery, lovely time of her life but Babli tried to smack some sense in her innocent brain.

Anokhi needs to learn from life, to meet more people (esp men) before figuring who is right for her and who is not.

As its said one had to ā€œkiss a lot of frogs to find a princeā€ but "Anokhi had to meet many more frogs before deciding whom all to even kiss".. she is so naive and innocent in this game of Love. And i hope she takes Babli's words seriously.

Shaurya is one person who stays in his own little world! He is very selective while listening too...

Babli raised some valid questions and concerns... He couldn't... Couldn't care less... And Anokhi was left to deal with it later on with Babli...

When Babli said yeh toh choti hai.. Aap toh institute ke director hai na.... A genuine concern... Was more like.... As a mature one in relationship, he is the one who is supposed to control himself more rather than jumping at the moment to get intimate with a woman who is barely in her 20s plus woman who also kind of pointed out concerns just the night before. Clarity toh dur ki baat... He seems to have forgotten about it too..

He kind of dismissed that she has to finish her studies, deal with mess they created when she ran away, come to terms with reality of life, and so on... Arrey bhai tu changed man hoga, but what about your family? Maybe you have changed overnight and you can see how Anokhi is aaj ki ladki and you are fine.. But see what is aaj ki ladkiya getting in your own household na...

I was so hoping that they would deal with him as a changed person slowly... Change in soch I meant and get rid of his ego and anger jaldi se... They are doing exactly opposite... Soch has changed but jealousy is still lingering...

I am so glad there are people to protect and warn Anokhi against worse that's to come.

I think today Babli’s protectiveness made sense to me for sure and I understand her worry more than yesterday. I find no fault in her given what she knows about him but I also appreciate her willing to let Anokhi make her decisions for herself because at the end of the day, Anokhi is an adult who should make her own choices. But Babli’s advice to her about being careful with how she continues with him and about not giving anyone the right to hurt her was spot on and felt very much like a big sister’s wisdom. I really loved their scene together!!

@bold I think that Anokhi isn’t that innocent about men though. Babli spoke from her experience for sure but to project her life onto Anokhi’s situation also isn’t necessarily right. Anokhi too has grown up with an abusive father, a brother who is less than ideal and has seen her abusive BIL’s treatment of Babli. This is the girl that traveled with pepper spray for safety and the girl that refused to back down when she was molested without thinking about her ā€œreputation.ā€ The one who wished to study hard is so she can save her mother and sister. Nor has Anokhi been shown to blindly trust Shaurya. In fact most of the times I think it’s precisely because of her trauma that she doesn’t trust him (the riots for example when he was saving her the whole time to think he abandoned her then and then of course the confession scene). It’s a defense mechanism where the moment she sees a flaw in a man, she immediately shuts down. And she has given it back to him many times and has made sure to point out when his anger bothered her on numerous occasions. Yes she is definitely in love right now but I don’t think that comes out of naĆÆvetĆ© regarding men necessarily. She knows who she can and can’t trust, and that trust isn’t something that men in her life win all that easily.

Not gonna say that Babli wasn't good becuase we really got to see the protective older sister in her today. But jt would honestly be unfair to say that Anokhi hardly had any experience with how men are out there. The best example would be the fact that she grew up with abuse men in her household - father and brother; the boys at the debate competition. She knows what a man is capable of doing. Everytime Shaurya messed up and showed regressive thinking, she gave jt back to him without thinking twice about what he'll think about her because she was right. She knows when to appreciate him and when you show him the door. Anokhi isn't like the rest of 2nd year uni students. She didn't mature with age, she matured with pain.

I totally forgot about the debate competition but you’re so right! Now I’m also thinking of how she was the one who was insistent on making Monty’s parents agree to let her study before agreeing and the fact that she found out first hand what he planned to do after marriage. So not only has she seen the harsh realities but also has witnessed how they ruined the lives of the women around her.

ā€œShe didn't mature with age, she matured with pain.ā€ I love this line and it’s so true for her!! As she said during the fairylights scene, life teaches a lot of things if someone is willing to learn. And her life has taught her many things.

@red.. to have men like her dad, brother and BIL are the men who were physically dominating towards their female counterparts.

When i said Men out there.. i was referring Men who are emotionally manipulative, the men who doesn't think before playing with a girl's emotions. the ones who make a girl fall in love with her and when she is deep in their love they leave her and go MIA.. and thats what i wanted to refer about Men out there. and i am sure Anokhi hasnt met any such in past and i really dont want to her meet such losers in futures too.

Babli's points were very much valid and her concern for Anokhi is completely understandable. However I don't think She shut Shaurya up, if anything shaurya himself backed down from reacting adversely that only shows his growth as a character and the fact that he was not invalidating her concerns and could see where she is coming from, yes he did not react or respond in agreement or share the same concerns but that was not him being in denial over the said concerns but being self assured that he will be there to fight alongside Anokhi if something happens, which is why he asks Babli not to underestimate Anokhi and points out her strengths.

@bold how will Anokhi learn from life if she doesn't let herself live? Babli's advice about not giving anybody the power to hurt her is once again coming from a good place however isn't that a collateral that comes with all kinds of love? Only the person you love has the power to hurt you and this is true for every relationship not just a romantic one. If Anokhi holds back from her feelings how will she learn what life is teaching her? How will she be able to determine if Shaurya is her frog or Prince? Because ultimately it is to be her decision based on her lived experience and not based on her sister's lived experience.

This is why I loved Anokhi explaining her feelings and emotions to Babli as well, because she did not undermine her sister's concerns but took it into consideration and yet didn't let go of her agency.

I get your point, but it's not fair to not include them. Anokhi isn't a naive little child. She knows what she is doing. Babli is doing what any older sister would do. Shaurya isn't manipulative. Does lash out? YES. But so Does Anokhi. She knows she csn lash out at him. Anokhi sees all men out there no matter what intention they approach her with, to be like the men in her life, her brother and father, who physically mentally and emotionally ruined her.

Exactly. There are many incidents from the initial episodes where we see how Anokhi has to battle through the patriarchal society to get what she wants. Every single male in her life during the sequence in Kapurthala, have manipulated her and hurt her. I genuinely think Shaurya was a perfect addition in her life. Someone she can fight with but all at the same time, learn that not all men are the same. She has seen her father best up her mother, her brother in law beat up her sister. So if we take the riots incident, like you mentioned, it was 2nd nature to her to believe that Shaurya would leave her there to be hurt. But the moment she found out that he didn't, she immediately felt bad. Realised that not all men are the same. Why worry about men out there when the men in your house are your biggest threat??

sorry to say but I still feel she is Naive.. she trusted what Reema told, Shaurya's sis mentioned, Kanchan mentioned abt Shaurya.. she trusting them all... so for me she still lacks experience to respond to a situation.. she is being impulsive and just reacting to the situation..

and i guess we can agree to disagree on what we feel based on our own experience and not just characters.
