Can Shaurya's dark aura be explored?

So,honestly accepting it was the promo which made me intrigued and forced me to watch the show..........

If one goes to Hotstar Shaurya's character has been described as an modern day masked mysiogonist.

Even in promo (auditorium) his monologues were shown while he congratulates the speaker for women empowerment,this has definitely came from his bade papa even In an episode initial,I don't remember no.

tej was reharsing a speech in which he says teaching is a very noble profession and more women should join it,the head of the very same family which made Aasthaa to leave her own child and husband to be in the noble profession........

The fact of Shaurya being an patriarch has never been hided,even he says Shagun that an women's identity is her husband,home,children....But the very same Shaurya who broke his engagement last evening next day after Anokhi asks him to enlighten with his words says infront of whole world,it's really nice that girls have started to pay attention to there career too......The very fact that though his real self comes infront of Anokhi is when he is so high tempered when Anokhi mentions about Aasthaa or now when he sees Anokhi with Aahir.

After seeing rubbish scene and now's Shaurya,I doubt whether he will be able to say the same rubbish infront of Anokhi no matter he truly feels it....Now he is in phase where he is confused about his own feelings and hasn't even an ounce of idea of her feelings but no matter what this phase is gonna end someday...He fears Anokhi going away from him...And he is ready to go to an extent no matter what to keep her close to him,while Anokhi has never shown her zidd on relations she is clearly focussed on her career as till now....While Shaurya has been shown the person who is equally adamant......

Agar tum ziddi ho toh main Shaurya Sabarwal hu......

Tum janti kitna ho mujhe,aisi bohot saari cheejein hai jo tum nahi jaanti ......Agar jaan jaaogi toh na mai andar se achha lagungaa na bahar se......

Well ,Anokhi is very oblivious to his thoughts about career women she has seen just the masked Shaurya though she has just seen jhalak of his MCP thoughts in library which she got hurt ,itna ki she decided to leave the college too......

He was kind enough to let Shagun go as he truly never loved her ...But this not the case with Anokhi.......

Once he acknowledges and accepts his feelings for Anokhi and once he gets to know she reciprocatess it too..He will be ready to go till any extent he is not amongst who thinks what is right or wrong?What if Anokhi never comes to know about the reason he broke with Shagun from any 3 rd person ?

Here at this stage Anokhi is completely unknown to his expectations about his wife while he still have an idea about her thinking though not completely,he has listened mai Anokhi hu...... And considering Nikki's age she is still quite vulnerable to manipulating.....Offcourse he has been brought up by Devi and he is smart..i believe itna toh seekha hi hoga usne..........

Can this be explored he acts supportive to Anokhi but in real he will create problems on her path of career the way he did in admission....His transformation is too long ek raat mai thodi na supportive banegaa...And his fear of abandonment won't let him express his true thoughts too.......

He likes dominance,he will definitely love to cage her.........And not to forget such kind of toxic Ml have been loved i ITV..........

As much as I know this is what was mentioned in the hotstar promo and Shaurya's characterization... I have feeling all that will go down the drain...

The Nikki described in promo was fierce... The one we see today... That spark has just gone missing...

I have always imagined him to be manipulative towards Anokhi, but I doubt it will happen... I am goad someone else also had that thought process...

Here are a few terrible things I imagined...

1. Manipulate Astha to call her mom if she gets Nikki to marry him...

2. Hide the acceptance letters she receives from other prestigious institutions so that she remains close to him.

3. Just build an illusion of supportive husband by putting all the blames of her trouble on Devil🤣 something I desperately want to see... I don't mind yoh going and study... But badi maa doesn't agree... But he is the one who does all the opposite things.

But the most important thing in all of this is that it needs to convey a message as a serial... The perception needs to change (slowly) , his anger needs to be ticked... After all the manipulations, Anokhi should still leave him to introspect how had he really been a good husband or boyfriend, he would have had Nikki with him for good... He would change maybe after leap a bit

The whole idea of letting her go and follow her dreams chahe woh Cambridge ho ya London scool of economics ho... If she is far, love can still be preserved.... And jo tera howega woh laut ayega is the apt music then... But the fact that his insecurities will not let him set Anokhi free to easily... She will Struggle with whole mad house.. But she will manage to fly nevertheless...

I just want to see her taking and motivating Gayatri and Kanchan too! Along with Babli and Rama... Every woman should grow... She can set the path and be the leader.

Itv viewers r like kuch bhi dedo bas romance dedo. We really don't care about male character or woman achieving dreams cause romance chahiye, and inevitably the main leads get married to stay under one roof. In this show I doubt A will have any scope after dealing with devil kitchen politics to finish study or get a job, providing before that hate shadi na hojaye😆 S can be like "humari ghar ki auratein kaam nhi karti" at max but actually hampering path? I doubt. Also how can viewers root for a male lead like that who sabotage career/education of female he claims to love just cause he's a modern day misogynist. It's not man ki awaz pratigya

But the thing is that we don't expect Shaurya to be so dark that he cannot be pulled out of it... Unlike Maya from Beyhadhh or Viraj from DSD Saubhagyvati bhava... He has to remain in boundries of redeemable and maintain that manipulative side... If Itv audience are expecting Anupama to forgive Vanraj (from Anupama) , or Mayura to have blissful life with Omkara (pinjara khoobsorti ka where ML literally damages face of his wife because she is beautiful) ... Itv has highest level of toxicity and both these shows are part of top 20... Shaurya being little regressive is to acceptable within limit... As long as he CHANGES... He broadens his outlook and accepts real value of Anokhi and lets her shine while clapping in background.. He can start of as possessive maniac... Like he already is actually...

The best part of non Indian tv is they do focus on character growth like anything...

In real life... You would hate someone condescending like Sheldon Cooper (from the Big Bang Theory) but his character change, partly due to whole group (not just romantic interest) was applaudable... That's how I wish ITV could treat characters.. But I feel it has long way to go..

there is a line between dark lead = villain and smone who can change. it might be my bias bt i think there r some dealbreaker like character assassination, physical abuse or verbal abuse means even if the guy falls on knees i wont root for the couple. like the TM said CV wanting to make shaurya grey- we all know how that happened. he was jerk to her and the whole library fight. now he is a lovesick romeo. when he will bounce back it will be another excessive. CVs can balance out like how he learns to control temper and be polite and actually see what shit family he is. creating issues for a girl who has already gone through so much...unnecessary i feel

True I guess they made many changes as initial ratings came too low.Actually it's low still considering Sitara but still they rushed the story for sake of ratings.

True,but ITV FL are mahaan so,they will end up showing her accepting him completely but having an different POV. I am still glad atleast they keeps showing glimpses of that Nikki in between,like handling bebo-kitty at time of fest registration....

I have always imagined him to be manipulative towards Anokhi, but I doubt it will happen... I am goad someone else also had that thought process...

Imagined I actually doubt his dark aura was quite well established in initial episodes,now as he is not understanding what is happening with him,hence he is behaving like this..Once he accepts and acknowledges and is determined to keep her close,his BGM and all his brain starts functioning

he will cross his limits.Till now he is shown as a person who does what he feels right.Sahi- galat doesn't affects him.he just wants what he wants.

Here are a few terrible things I imagined...

1. Manipulate Astha to call her mom if she gets Nikki to marry him...

Ohh i never explored this angle.i thought he will even fasao Aasthaa like due to Nikki he won't call her mom but will behave good infront of her.Afterall she is a mother ,she is happy in it and Nikki waise hi fislegi....As he can show atleast some of Aasthaa's qualities.As,Shaan mentions wo waise bhi maa pe gaya hai..So,Aasthaa's qualities are definitely gonna attract Nikki......Plus I think here he will be like sweet poison donon se sweet ban ke he will try to create misunderstandings between Nikki and Aasthaa as no matter how much he will manipulate Aasthaa he will still have an sense of fear as Aasthaa abandoned him and her lefting her own family for career has given Nikki strength,he definitely will want to have distance between this Saas- bahu jodi....

2. Hide the acceptance letters she receives from other prestigious institutions so that she remains close to him.

Ummm I don't feel the need now,as he has already taken promise from Nikki that she will complete all her education from SIAC.And nahi maanti toh emotional blackmail hai hi....So,Nikki in order to balance will stay in SIAC.

3. Just build an illusion of supportive husband by putting all the blames of her trouble on Devil🤣 something I desperately want to see... I don't mind yoh going and study... But badi maa doesn't agree... But he is the one who does all the opposite things.

I think he will convince his bade parents for her to study and will put condition of family first.Abb as I work i know 2 on manage aasani se nahi ho pata and he can manipulate badi maa to give her responsibility of eldest Sabarwal bahu.Doesn't he mentions being a Sabarwal bahu is an 24*7 job.

And as she has promised she will be first Sabarwal bahu then an student. To studies ke lie waqt hi na mile and all......

Common if household works starts to bother more work life ke deadlines usually miss ho hi jaati hai

Offcourse but it will be an very long process as he is not even child of 18-20 s. The people in 30s already carries an emotional baggage and it's not easy to mend them plus his childhood.Aise log itni aasaani se cure nahi hote.They have there own emotional concerns. Plus Anokhi seems emotional fool so he can way far easily manipulate her emotionally..

I doubt itv can ever create a character like Sheldon. It takes a lot of effort to get the tics and nuances of such a character intact throughout the narrative. Creating such a character is time consuming and draining on the writers' part. Itv has to churn out episodes on a daily basis, that too keeping in mind the trps. Maintaining character consistency is next to impossible. The only character that has managed to be consistent so far is Devi. Rest all are rolling from one side to another.

I don't mind Shaurya being dark as long as he doesn't turn a new leaf overnight. The reasons for his change should be visible to us. It will be interesting to see him trying to stealthily sabotage Anokhi's career or manipulate her into giving it up. But it should not reach maniacal levels. Like when he realises that his machinations are pushing her away, he should reflect on his behaviour. That is the best quality about him. He is not completely insensitive. He ponders over the consequences of his actions. His misogyny cannot be removed by his love for Anokhi alone. His issues with his mother need to be addressed as well. It will be wrong to say people don't change at his age. They do, but the reasons have to be strong enough.
