Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to Alka's new nightmare a.k.a the Hari mansion a.k.a the haunted house of very expensively bought reethy rivaaz. 🤪 These days, episodes seem to feature half crap/half gold but thankfully, this episode was 80% gold and only 20% crap. I'll just rip the band-aid off quickly so we could get on to the good stuff then. *AND YES THERE WAS EXCELLENT STUFF 😆😆*

Written Update:
Aastha feigns nonchalance after pointing out to her father-in-law the newlyweds have gone for some random dharshan to a nearby mandhir. She wonders if they could've sneaked off to the Shastri house without letting anyone know despite being told by Vrinda "3 TIMES they shouldn't go there before the rituals are finished".
Hari believes Rohan would never go against his mother but Aastha creates enough suspicion for him to attempt to ring Rohan - except she states it's quite obvious Rohan could lie at this point for his wife but truthful Mr Shastri wouldn't - and it's exactly what happens which makes Hari bhai, irked, immediately hang up on Mr Shastri *does the man have no manners?!😡😡*.
Everyone at the Shastris are left bothered now, Devyani leaving, scoffing at the uncountable amount of rituals to be done. She speaks to herself as usual, walking down the stairs. And promptly falls right into Neil's arms.
*snigger snigger*
Neil: Can't you watch where you're going? Could've gotten hurt. *I'm not entirely sure if he's worried about himself or her 😆😆*
Devyani: Why can't YOU watch where you're going? I could've gotten hurt.
Neil: If I hadn't come along, you would've been lying here looking like this. *insert stupid expression*
Devyani: Even if I'd been lying here looking like this *insert said stupid expression* I'd still have looked beautiful.

Devyani: Okay, I'm going.
Neil: Where?
Devyani: To die. This world has depressed me!
Neil: Before you die, can you meet my brother?
Devyani: I bet he's just like you - taunting girls the moment he sees them.
Rajat (suddently popping): No, I wait a little bit.
*hahaha!*
Devyani is so shocked, she happily faints, aaand Rajat catches her this time. *me yelling at the screen: OYE, GEDDOFF HIM! That's your sister's property!*
Mr Sareen then comes, all explanations made about how everyone knows everyone. 😆
Back at Alka's sasural *me yelling at the screen: NOOO! Can we go back to the fun moments? Please. Pretty please?... My prayers didn't seem to be answered*. Vrinda walks back and forth, her face coloured in distress, disappointment and anger, when the couple walks in. Rohan tries to explain, though all logical explanations fly right over the sacrificial altar of obligations and broken trust.
Vrinda doesn't accept their apologies but notes in disappointment that they should consider other people's emotions next time they do something and mentions she would've had no idea about this if Aastha hadn't wanted to bring Alka down *no, literally down - shoot her someone 🥱!*.
The Sareen men 😆😆 head upstairs so everyone could be introduced. Devyani even enthusiastically calls her father, muttering excitedly under her breath that his son-in-law had come. 🤪🤪 🤪 Mr Sareen introduces Rajat as his son equal to him to which Shastri ji good-naturedly says that Neil isn't less better - he was running around, doing all these errands for Alka's wedding after all. Chota Sareen is so overwhelmed, he falls at Shastri ji's feet.
Awww!!!!!! But this totally leaves everyone shocked, 🤣 and it's just when Minty walks in equally dazed, already worried one of the Shastri sisters hadn't trapped her precious son.
Rajat is then introduced to the rest of the Shastri sisters, hilariously pinching Peeya's cheek who laughingly brushes it off, offering a handshake instead - which makes Rajat say just loud enough only Anu could hear he thought the girls' sole form of hello was namaste-ing. 🤣
Although Minty wants to make a quick exit, excuses of sharing ice-cream keeps them behind and the resultant exchange between her and Mr Sareen makes Devyani laugh randomly. 😆 Someone's feeling happyyy but everyone else is totally weirded out. 🤣
Back at the haunted house, Alka brings a kheer she cooked and suspenseful music comes to a climax in the background as Aastha gets ready to fire some more well-meant taunts at the supposedly impending failure.
Hari tastes.
Everyone's breath catches...
... The food has been made pretty well he declares. *Well, that was anti-climactic because we already knew that!* But it makes everyone happy (except Aastha who's figured out she needs plans hatched to make Alka's life miserable in the kitchen). Meanwhile, Rohan flashes one of his I-love-you-whatever-you-do smiles at his wife 😆 who sits worried in her seat.
Minty on the other hand serves herself as a human barricade between her son and the sisters while Shastri ji asks Rajat about his job - making him smile at Devyani - speaking of trying to bring more youngsters into the Air Force. Shastri ji comments the more men enlisting, the stronger the nation will become. Rajat, ever the passionate, animatedly begins to tell them of the college cadet girls when Devyani in a panic keeps signalling him to stop talking any further. Anu seems to have begun to piece the bits together now, just not entirely.
Rajat, confused but seemingly taking the point, continues on the subject without divulging Devyani's secret since Shastri ji questioned the safety of women working at the Air Force - women serve at higher posts because it's believed their patience levels make them better decision makers *maybe an Anushka but not a Devyani, surely? >_>*.
Minty is finally able to make up some excuses so she could take Rajat away who folds his hands once more before Anushka.
And the sisters are left in their own thoughts -
Devyani: Rajat Sareen, keep meeting us more and more like this.
Anu: Rajat Sareen, the less I meet you, the better.
Precap: On the terrace, Anu runs with a high pile of folded clothes in her hands, bumping straight into Rajat and dropping all the clothes. 😆 They both gaze into each other's eyes. ☺️
At the mansion, Aastha brings a frightened Alka into her adorned room readied for her wedding night, and gives her a warning that this isn't her home but her in-law's house. *gag me* Later, she's waiting for Rohan in changed clothes dreading the night to come while he locks the door and reaches to touch her arm with a smile.

That's it, guys. I hope everyone enjoyed the update as much as I enjoyed writing it. 😆 This episode was tons of fun and reading it or even seeing pictures wouldn't do it justice! Thank you CVs for listening to our prayers and keeping the fun going!
Plus, it also (barely, but the barely counts too) touched on the topic of women working in challenging jobs. Also, the pluses really outweighted the minuses tonight because the haunted sasural wasn't as bad as expected, though the precap seems to suggest otherwise
I'm really looking forward to seeing how things work out between Rohan and Alka because well, she needs to forget Rajeev ASAP and get on with Rohan because who can't love that baby face? 😆😆 Can't wait to see how all the love stories work out, really. I just LOVE the peppy music in the background that runs whenever Anu and Rajat have a sweet moment. And I love love love the underlying awkwardness on Anu's part and Rajat's devilish teasing attitude towards her, like it's second nature to him. Haye. I'll just go back, watch the episode and sigh some more.
