Monday 18/7/11

Inspector is interrogating Jeevan about the car which hit him. Mansi comes and tries
to help Jeevan. Tells the inspector that it was a black car " I will rake my brains and try
to come up with whatever info I can recollect." The inspector leaves and Jeevan
complains to Manasi that he does not like it here. " And you give the inspector some
hopes !!! he will come back for more interrogation now !!! " Manasi says " if we keep
saying that we dont recall anything, he will be more suspicious. And about Red Star operation, right now you are physically not ready to carry it out. Hold on, ok??"
Outside, the peon tells the doctor that some thing is fishy about Jeevan and Manasi
" that girl does not look like a Tamizh girl. And when I go in, they both become silent !"
The doctor asks him to mind his business.

PK is with Naren's parents. PK is on his act No N - tells Naren's parents that it is only because of him that the engagement went south. " Naan thaane MD post kekka sOnnen,
athu thappu " Naren's mom finds an opportunity to draggg ( CBE accent nnu
ninaichu intha amma izhuvai thaangalai da sammy ) Tells PK that he is not at fault
" Enra pillaikki naalathu nnu thaane neenga intha idea kudutheenga !!" PK says that
Naren is still angry with him " does not understand that I only mean good for him "
The parents console him saying that Naren will understand PK soon. Now it is time
for PK to do some " Banana needling " - "after all this galatta, do you still want Naren
to marry rathy?? Can't you look for some better bride??" Naren's mom is happy that
she can drag some more " Aaaraammbaathileee irunthu...Naa ithaaaiii thaaannn
sOllliii kiiitttuuu irukken " (Aandavaaa!!)) Well, PK is adopted as a brother to Naren
and will be given home cooked food !!!

GDP and Aakash - on their way to Tirupathy - car le oru poster "going to get married "
GDP reads some jokes - sms le vanthurukku - but Aakash is morose " I told you that
I dont like all this , getting married, going for a honeymoon apdinnu enna announcement??" Of course GDP has her own logical explanations. Aakash says that he needs to change
GDP and she answers "but you do not have to change" . Sathya comes to meet Rathy who is getting ready to go to the OT. PK calls GDP and says that he just can not tolerate the idea of GDP marrying any one. GDP asks him to come for the wedding " in fact I would love you to come " Aakash asks her but GDP mazhuppufies that it is an old friend "lost touch long back.." PK calls Aakash and asks "where are you now?? " Aakash says "near Mangamma chthram " PK once again says sorry for not attending the marriage . Rathy is met by the woman whose hubby is to be operated " unga annan kalyanam nnu paarkkame...you are doing the operation " Rathy says that duty comes first. Aakash gets a call from the hospital - after he attends it, GDP switches off his phone. her phone is on though - Aakash says that at least one phone should be active "in case of emergency " Sathya manages to convince Rathy to check the website where GDP aka Anaamika is the heroine. " how did Anamika become a powerful lobbyist?? Drug deal - Anamika connected with the underworld?? - stuff like that. Rathy cries...

Update for Tues, July 19, 2011:

Rathy comes to see Sathya, she tells him she saw the stuff on the computer, but she couldn't reach Akash, his cell was turned off, and she couldn't reach her Periappa or her mother, either. She has to go to Surgery as they call her again.

Rathy is in Surgery and she is thinking about the images of Anamika that she saw on her computer. Her hands are shaking and she is sweating, and Naren notices this (I thought he was a cardiologist, how is he doing surgery? Is he a cardiac surgeon also? Maybe I ask too many questions, and Mr. KB will want me to shut up and stop asking these questions) She seems distracted. When the surgery is over, he follows Rathy to her room with hot coffee and asks her what happened outside the operation theater that made her so nervous that a simple surgery took her twice as long today. Finally, after much evasion, she tells him the truth about GDP and how she wanted to stop the wedding. He thinks GDP may have turned over a new leaf and he thinks she may have told Akash about her past. He says that every saint has a past and every sinner a future (interesting dialogs in this serial). He tells her not to talk about this to anyone. She tells him about GDP's friend, Nandini, who came to see Periappa to tell him something, but Akash wouldn't let her talk and sent her out. She wonders if Nandini knows the stuff that Sathya warned her about.

Jeevan is reading something and the nurse tells him he is not supposed to read. He wants to know when he will be discharged, she says the doctor has to decide that. Manasi comes in, and when they are talking, Perumal enters. They stop talking, he has brought coffee to that room by accident (more likely, design) and he says he took a change of sheets to the other room, maybe they wanted coffee and the sheets were for this room. He leaves. On his way, he sees a stranger, who asks for directions to Jeevan's room. He tells him the directions. The new guy goes to Jeevan's room, tells him that JR has said to postpone the Red Star operation till Jeevan is fully recovered. Manasi asks him why he came in spite of her clear instructions for him to stay away. She asks him if he doesn't know that the police are looking for them. Just then, Perumal enters with the sheets, they stop talking and Manasi takes the sheets from him, says she herself will change the sheets. He leaves, and she tells the new guy to leave. Perumal is at the nurses' station, looking at some file, while the new guy is passing behind him, talking on the phone. He sees something in the file that makes him pause and look.

Rathy's house - Periappa, Vicky and Sandhya, along with Vicky's son, are waiting for Akash to come. Rathy is sitting inside. Akash and GDP arrive, and Vicky calls for Shyamala to do the arathi. Periappa wants to know where Rathy is, and Vicky's son goes to get her. He brings her outside, and she does the arathi.

Periappa, Sandhya, Akash and GDP at the dining table. Periappa is coming up with jokes of what happened at his wedding and everyone is having a good laugh. Akash wants to know where Rathy is, so Periappa goes looking for her. She is sitting on a chair, Periappa asks her what is wrong. She says she has a headache, he says he knows the real reason - the fact that her wedding has been postponed while Akash is married now. She denies this and goes to join the group at the table. Akash wants to know why she didn't even call him, she says she tried, but the call didn't go through. (Wasn't it because he had turned off his phone? Wonder why she doesn't say it outright?) GDP asks if the line was bad, and she says Yes. GDP says there was just one kurai in their wedding and that was Rathy's absence, and Rathy says that for every good thing, there must be a kurai. GDP is confused, and Sandhya covers it up with some explanation. GDP asks about the surgery and Rathy says there were some unexpected complications but the patient is okay. Sandhya talks about the rain, Akash talks of an accident on the way, he says he escaped, she asks Did you escape? and he asks her what she meant, and she says, You escaped with a keeral, that's what I meant. A lot of play on words going on here, and I have filled in as much as I could. Please fill in if I got something wrong.

Thanks Roja. Interesting. Will the marriage take place. Akash's cell is switched off . Sure she can contact MB or her mom & try to stop the wedding. Let us see.

Thanks Eljay - awww, so the wedding happens !!! This family normally discusses things out in the open - ALMOST a normal family. So, why can't Rathy come out in the open?? GDP might get a chance to explain and the whole family can set right things !!

It will be interesting to see how KB sir connects the terrorist angle to the main story.

After seeing Anandam and Megala, now the maniac has become the calm hero and the dashing ACD has become the suave villain, and I never thought that I would be rooting for the Maniac against ACD!

Eljay, this negative shade suits ACD - usual villains mathiri LO LO nnu kathame, sirichinde kazhuthai arukkirathu is good 😉 But ange ange logic idikkarathu - KB sir, neengalumaa??

Yesterday, hubby was watching this show and when I asked if he wanted to change channels, he said No, he was going to watch this, and afterwards, his comment was, Why do they have such a lot of word play in this serial - the part where MB says, I have conceived, three times, and then, Ennaal mudinja varai ... three times, and I had a good laugh. This is the first time he is watching this, and even he noticed it! For once, we have a serial that has to be watched closely to follow all the dialogs!
