Chaaya prevents Shani from attending and answers his protests by crying and asking him what would he choose - his mother or the need to deliver justice? Shani wipes her tears and says his duty to his mother is far more important than his duty to deliver justice. He assures her that he will not attend the Dev Sabha.

Meanwhile Shukracharya asks for Shani as witness. Surya says he will get an unbiased witness who was present at the scene - and in walks Vishwakarma. He testifies that both Indra and Shukracharya were present near his abode but he does not know who was responsible for the gigantic tornado.

Narad Muni asks Brihaspati the Guru of the Devas, to convey verdict - Indra stops him by goading Surya Dev. Suryadev pronounces Shukracharya guilty and all the Devas are ready to pounce on him..

Meanwhile Kakol is playing with his shadow which is not visible if he changes locations. Chaaya tells him that his shadow is visible when he is in the light - when he is in the dark there is no shadow. Suddenly it dawns on Chaaya that a person cannot build his identity by being in someone else's shadow. The minute this strikes her she realizes that Shani needs to step out of her shadow (in other words parental bondage) in order to build his identity in the world. She asks Shani to go and deliver justice.

On the other hand, Mahadev is assuring Lords Brahma and Vishnu that Shani dev will reach the Dev Sabha shannay-shannay (that is slowly but surely) as justice treads slowly.

When Shanidev reaches the devsabha - Surya dev stops him. Shanidev says he is at the devsabha at the behest of one of the parties and that a witness is a witness and age is of no consequence. He declares that the Devas are responsible for the creation of the giant tornado. He calls upon the 5 panch maha bhutas (who are all devas) and gets Indra to confirm that they are the basis of all creation including the giant tornado. Hearing this Indra asks Suryadev if the Sabha was called to insult the Devas. Suryadev is furious at Shanidev; Narad Muni asks him to calm down. Narad asks Shanidev - what is it that you want to prove? Shanidev replies truth is truth and to see it one has to uncover the dirt from ones eyes (in other words, false perceptions or pre-conceived biases from ones mind).

Precap: Shanidev asks Indra to lay his crown at Chaaya's feet. Indra mentally vows to get back at Shanidev by kidnapping Chaaya. Mahadev informs Lords Brahma and Vishnu that Shanidev's separation from his mother is now inevitable (or something to that effect).
