Chp#3: Failure
Manindar stormed out of the room and went out of the house. He went to the hospital towards the reception. 'Where's Dr. Manisha's cabin?', he asked. 'Straight then right, but what's your name?', asked the receptionist. 'What has my name to do with her?', he asked. 'You can't meet her like this, you need an appointment, I will write an appointment for you that will be after a month,' she replied. His eyes widened. 'Next month? And you're saying as if it is tomorrow,' he said creasing his eyebrows. 'Sorry but you can't meet her without an appointment,' she said.
A lady doctor was walking past him, he saw her. 'Dr. Manisha,' he called. 'Yes?', she replied. 'I want tomorrow's appointment, actually you did delivery of my conjoined twin kids, so I think you can separate them?', he said. 'I am not free tomorrow, come day after tomorrow, but you need to sign some papers,' she said and he signed some papers but somewhere, Nimmi's signs were needed. He took the papers with him and went home. He his the papers seeing Nimmi and went to his room. He shut the door and took some papers out on which there was Nimmi's sign.
He smirked and practiced the sign multiple times and he signed the papers. 'Now no one can stop me from separating Sonia from Soumya,' he grinned sadistically. He opened the door and went outside and collided with Nimmi and the papers fell. 'Watch where you go,' he said angrily and left. She looked on doubtfully. She followed him by cab but missed him. She asked the driver to change the route and she stopped him outside Soumya and Sonia's school. She stepped down and after taking them with her, she sat in cab and went back to her house.
As they reached, they stepped out of the cab and paid the driver. She went inside with them to their room. 'I made many new clothes for you, you both tell which one you'll like,' she said. She showed them all the clothes and they chose one of them and she made them wear it.

Manindar watched them. 'You sit here, I will bring food for you,' she said and Manindar went from there before she saw him. He saw her going to kitchen and went to the twins' room. 'Won't you say hello to papa?', he said.
'Hello papa,' they said together and he smiled at them. 'I will take you out and buy ice cream for you both, I know you both love it and so you won't say no to papa, right?', he said keeping his one hand on Sonia's chin and one on Soumya's chin. They looked at each other and smiled and got down the bed. He took them with him. Nimmi came to their room and saw that they weren't there. She called them and got tensed. She checked every room but they weren't there. 'My kids, did he took them?'
She recalled seeing those papers falling from his hands. 'Did he took appointment from doctor to separate my kids? Oh no,' she said worriedly and ran out of the room. 'What happened Nimmo, why are you running?', said a woman worriedly stopping her. 'Soumya and Sonia aren't there in their room, he must've taken them, he will... no no, I will need to go Maa,' she said and ran out of the house. She looked here and there searching them by her eyes and saw them near an ice cream stall eating ice cream with Manindar. She sighed in relief and ran towards them.
People passed from front of her and she saw that they weren't there anymore. She ran towards the stall. 'That man and twin kids, did you saw them? Where did they go?', she asked. 'That direction,' he said pointing to the right and she ran from there thanking him and saw Manindar hiring a cab and about to sit in it. She ran as fast as her legs could carry her and reached near the cab and stopped him from closing the door. He pushed her away and closed the door. She asked the driver to wait and she sat inside from the opposite door.
'Take a u-turn,' she said and saw that her kids were unconscious. 'What did you do to them?', she asked holding his collars and slapped him tightly. He jerked away her hand. 'Stop it, its all because of you that my child faces troubles in school,' he accused her. 'Did Sonia say that she has problem with living like this? No right? Why are you risking their lives? This operation can even kill them,' she said. 'If Soumya dies, it will be a good news,' he said. 'You should be ashamed to give punishment to a girl of something which isn't her fault,' she said.
The cab driver stopped the car outside their house and she took the kids on her shoulder and walked inside towards their room and tried to wake them by splashing water on their face. 'Maa,' they said as they woke up and she hugged them. 'Are you alright?', she asked. 'Yes but how did we come here? We were with papa, was it all a dream that papa first time made me eat ice cream and took us out?', Soumya asked and Nimmi broke the hug and nodded in negative.
'That was truth, I told you that he loves you,' she said and smiled at them finding it hard to cry in front of them. 'Maa, will he love me like this always?', Soumya asked and a lone tear escaped Nimmi's eye. 'Yes, I will never let it get away from you,' she promised and kissed their foreheads and made them eat. Manindar looked on from outside the room. 'Again these false hopes,' he said irritatingly and stormed off to his room. She made them do homework and gave them a book for drawing and went outside.
Dhoop ho chhaon ho
Main tere saath hoon
Mere dil ki har dua hai tere liye
Rabb diyaan naimataan sab hai tere liye
Is jahan ki har khushi ho tere liye
Mammta meri saath tere ban k rahegi
Shakti shakti shakti shaktiShe stopped outside Manindar's room. 'The plan was going so smooth, I made them unconscious and was taking them hospital to separate them but that Nimmi came, she's a resistance in my life,' he said to his mom. 'I want divorce,' Nimmi said standing at the entrance. She walked inside and stood in front of him. 'I won't be a resistance anymore because neither of my kids will stay with you, Sonia will also go with me,' she said. 'Where will you go?', he asked raising his eyebrows. 'Anywhere but not here, the world is very big,' she replied.
'If you had to go, you would've gone when they were born,' he taunted her. 'I didn't go because no matter how much distant we're, our children isn't responsible for that, they needed your love and still they need it, please don't play with Soumya's emotions, Sonia is also like her, both are equal,' she said. 'Sonia isn't like Soumya, please stop comparing them, conjoined bodies doesn't means conjoined character,' he replied. 'Then if you want Soumya to go away, then Sonia will also go,' she said. 'I will separate them,' he said. Nimmi called them and they came with their arm around each other.
'Somu, Sonu, papa wants to ask something from you both, don't decide in hurry,' she said. 'Papa wants to separate you both, I mean your bodies,' he said. They looked at each other and then at Nimmi. 'No, we won't ever separate,' Sonia said. 'Listen to me, your mother wants to go away from here with Soumya, she will have her and I also need someone with me as my life is incomplete, I want you Sonia, won't you listen to your papa?', he said emotionally blackmailing her. 'Sorry papa, I won't,' she replied and moved back as he cupped her cheek.
