You're contradicting your own statement .. in the movie that man had to marry bcz of society's taunts and gossip and in the show also harman saumya had to marry bcz of society's taunt on saumya and harman. but panchayat played an important role to see that neither of the parties back out after using the other for sex (that is what ppl had thought happened b/w harman saumya)... If it was mumbai or delhi den ppl in the society would have started their gossip about saumya and harman and then anyways harak would have to get them married .. so either its panchayat or society's taunts and gossips , things doesn't matter bcz these things are bound to happen (even in real also)..

@ purple/bold - You're a hardcore MBian so there was one scene where MB walked on coal for her husband to get well and fine .. I would like to put your attention that the couple resided in Mumbai and its a business hub .. so its wrong to say that orthodox things are only shown by choosing a village .. ppl residing in mumbai or delhi or japiur also have orthodox beliefs and even then audience feels that haan ye sirf chote shehro mein nahi balki bade shehro mein bhi hota hai...

Changing ppl's mentality is a gradual process which wil cum wid tym n education only..For me shows r only for entertainment ..I never watch a show for moral science bt yes I hate wen dey show crimes lyk rape, molestation, domestic violence, forced marriage by someone from d family..Becos dey hardly show d criminal getting punished which sends a wrong msg across d society... that you need to blame on the respective channel and ph for not showing justice and showing that evil wins over good...

I don't think so you might have seen large green fields , cows or ox grazing fields , tubewells , well , ppl using primitive agricultural method and farming , ppl using ox for tilling the land ... I'll tell you one incident and this I witnessed 2-3 years back while I was doing my graduation .. I stay in a metropolitian city in a posh locality so obviously ppl staying in my locality were very aristrocratic ppl and most of them were businessman and working in good reputed IT firms ... So one day my dad was dropping me to college and I was sitting at the backseat of the car . We halted at a red light and i saw that there was one new Range rovers car besides me , so I knew it that the owner must be very rich since RR is anyways expensive . That car dint had the dark black glasses so thing were visible that what was happening inside the car .. Ther was a driver driving the car and the owner (i suppose) was sitting backseat .. IDK about the other metropolitian city but my city has lots of enunchs and beggars and so its a common site of enunchs knocking on cars window and bus and asking for money .. So the same thing happened that time .. 2 enunch came from the other side of the road and they started knocking on the car's window .. That man dint pull down the window and just kept on looking at them with disgust ... I had that much of courtesy to pull dowm the cars window and tell that person that I dont have money and anyways enunchs doesnt even bother to look at students .. So now tell me if ppl living in suburbs and villages are the only orthodox or regressive ppl while ppl living in metropitian cities are quite classy and they treat everyone with respect ?? Even in metropolitian cities among aristrocratic classes dowry , caste is prevelant ... So in all the whole India whether rich or poor , village or city - ppl in every nook and corner needs to change for the betterment of society ... And Here I agree with you partially about RS but I would like to add that the Govt of India should call for emergency meeting and shut down all these channels like SP , Zee TV , Colors and their brother sister channels like utsav , OK , anmol , rishtey etc ... Bcz all these channels are just showing nonsense and more nonsense ... Sony toh waise bhi nazar nai ata toh usey bandh karo ya na karo koi farak nai padta ...

u have literally said what is on my mind . bravo . u r abdolutely correct . society and ppl's thinking are same doesnt matter where they live . that's true dear and I agree with you that wherever ppl live , in developed cities or not so developed cities still they are a part of society and they will behave according to what society thinks or log kya kahenge types ...

as for haryana and punjab ,since i have seen both the states and have lived there . i really hate when ppl consider them to be so backward and full of honor killing and other social evil and i blame tv and movies for not updating with current scenior. even i can never understand this fact that why do ppl blame tv and movies for all bad things .. when tv and movies show good things then ppl never even embrace such good thoughts but when any thing bad happens then all blame comes on tv movies or girls short clothes ..


i live in haryana and trust it is much more developed in than even some states in south . it is just not the infrastrture , new technology farming equipment but even in thinking.

my own grandfather's village has so many intercast and even inter religious marriage and guess what no one died . they stay happy and normal . and my small village have around 20 working womens and strenght of more girl child than boy . I'm happy to hear that atleast a bit of change is happening in society and its a good move by ppl .. 👏👏👏

as for IVF etc there are so many old and middle age couple even who have opted for it and have been succeful .

i even know a couple who is well above there 60s and now have went through IvF and had a baby girl few months back and they are happy may god bless them
