see i dont really care if he confesses his feelings at all. in the context of the story its not really necessary. neither is it necessary for him to 'accept' soumya and an essentially sexless relationship (well debatable upon the actual nature of her 'deformity') in accepting his love for her. i think that the acceptance need not bring confession but it would definitely give him some clarity on what he wants to do with her and his own life. look, i had no love lost for the insistently irritating mahi, she agreed to marry harman knowing he still cared deeply for somu BUT harman did essentially also give his consent- reluctant or not, she got ditched, not only at the mandap but mid marriage. that wasnt right. if he wasnt in denial he definitely wouldve told his parents to give him some time and understand what he's going through instead of jumping the aboard the whatever preeto wants ship. even with soumya he kind of has to atleast be clear what he wants from his equation with soumya- face his feelings and be there for her as her friend? and explain that to his family...well to harak singh atleast, he seems a wee bit more rational than preeto 😆. or he can take a step back and say look i love this girl, im responsible for her well-being and i plan to be there for her whenever she needs me in an undefined capacity and the wife i take will have to accept me with this baggage, if that eventuality is to occur. that should warrant off any girl who doesnt have a clear picture- mahi didnt. she knew he was reeling from his first marriage but she clearly didnt expect soumya to still take such precedence (i cant believe im advocating that chep nasal girl but objectively galat hua 😆) if he's clear than he'll stop making impulsive calls. i feel like that is crucial cos too many silly dramas are introduced that take advantage of harman's confused state. what was even the point of the marriage se uth ke jana other than adding a bit of extra drama- his parents wouldve been crazy angry even if he left in the middle of breakfast to go help soumya. the shaadi thing was just so preeto could go give some taanas to somu and co. and to make harman's departure more dramatic. in a normal show i wouldnt mind it cos thats the basis of hindi serials but because the core problem of this show is so intense that all this peripheral drama seems kind of...well petty really and super unnecessary. it may add another villain to the story but when fate is such a massive villain, what difference does another villain really make other than to deter from the original villain- god given condition. but i do agree that the poor dude hasnt had a second to actually reflect on his life and what he wants- not family or society but him- since siyappas keep on happening every second. they cant even let the story rest for an episode of positivity to get some introspection. harman comes home from leaving somu and tada! mahi is there 😕. give him a nano second before intro-ing new siyappa atleast!
