The episode begins with Harman coming back home. He sees Preeto and everybody else waiting for him. He sees his childhood friend Mahi and asks why she is here. Preeto says that she is extremely happy to see him. He is finally back. Now, if she asks for his life, he'll readily give it to her. Preeto says why will I do that. All I demand is your happiness. She explains that she has fixed his wedding to Mahi and the engagement is in the evening. Harman is shocked but agrees. In the evening, he gets ready and comes down. Everybody is waiting for him and Mahi. Shanno brings Mahi. Mahi readily puts the ring in Harman's finger while Harman hesitates.
The scene shifts to Soumya's house where Surbhi and Nimmi watch as Soumya sleeps. Nimmi comments on the peace on Soumya's face. She must have suffered so much during the time she was away from them. Surbhi says now that di is back, we'll make sure we spend all the time with her.
Harak asks Harman to exchange his rings with Mahi. Harman hesitates but finally gives in. Soumya wakes up all of a sudden yelling Harman's name. Nimmi consoles her that Harman has gone from her life for good and now she needs to let him go from her dreams too. Soumya feels that some thing is wrong with Harman and she needs to know.
Back in his room, Harman looks at his ring and thinks about Soumya and how much he misses her. He says to himself that he should call Soumya but seconds later says that he shouldn't. He has promised himself to distance him from Soumya and he is going to keep his promise. And what will he tell her, that they dont have a relationship anymore, that he has been engaged to someone else? And although everything is true, why does he feel awkward sharing this with her. What is it that is holding me back? Soumya and him are just a phone- call away.
Soumya is standing by the window thinking about Harman. How he rescued her, how he helped her in the safehouse, how they danced together. Surbhi wakes up and sees Soumya awake and asks what is wrong? Soumya says I can't get Harman out of my mind. Surbhi says, then let us just call him. She is about to dial Harman when Nimmi stops her saying that she shouldn't call anybody at this hour. If Soumya is unable to sleep, I'll sing to her. Soumya lies down on her lap and Nimmi starts singing. Soumya things that after a long time I am with my family but there's a hole in my life and as long as Harman is not in it, it's going to stay there.
Next morning, Mahi comes to Harman's room to wake him up. She tries to flirt with him but Harman doesn't flirt back. She says that if he doesn't wake up, she won't try to...rather she'd lie down and sleep with him. Then her in-laws can starve to death because she'll do what herfiance does. Harman asks her to grow up and they're not kids like they used to be. Mahi says that until she's married she is not going to grow up. Preeto summons Harman and Mahi down.
Maninder exclaims how tiring it is to be the father of the bride. So much work to do. He asks for water and sees that Soumya has heard him. She goes inside and comes back with a glass of water. Nimmi takes it from her and Surbhi gives the glass to him instead. Maninder tries to cough the water to make a scene but stops. Surbhi says you'll see there will come a day when you'll beg for Soumya di to offer him water.
In the hall, the priest looks at Harman and Mahi's kundli to set a date for their wedding. Harak says that he wants to see Harman happy again and that his life needs to come back to stability. The priest asks if this is Harman's first wedding. Preeto says that yes, it is. Harman and Mahi come down and the priest says that the day after is a very auspicious day for their wedding. Preeto says alright! We'll manage. Varun wonders why the haste in the wedding. Probably the lesser people, the lesser defamation. Preeto says we'll not call anybody. Just the family members and when the time is right, we'll inform everybody about the wedding.
Soumya gets ready in her room. She sees her sindoor and is about to apply when she sees Nimmi and stops.
Precap: Mallika tells Kareena that Harman has abandoned Soumya and she doesn't know about it. She'll be shattered and need refuge, that's when we'll take her. Meanwhile, Rani and her friend kidnap Soumya from her house.
