I think it is important as Harman still needs to understand that he loves Soumya. I believe the second marriage track might help him understand his feelings for Soumya better. He talks about finding Soumya and handing her over to Nimmi. He calls himself her friend not a lover so yeah any normal person would believe him to have pity and friendship for Soumya not love. I do not think Preeto blackmailing him into a marriage is better at all, to be honest both his parents have always thrust their decisions on him which I very much despise. He poor dude never got a chance to identify his own feelings for Soumya but I do hope the consideration of another woman in his life will force him to realize his love for Soumya.
