Vivian, the name literally means 'alive' and what better word could better describe the son of Mr. Duncan and Mrs Shyamlata Dsena. Vivian Dsena, the man who enthralled his audience as Abhay, RK and now plays Harman in his new show, turns 28 this year. He joined the industry at the tender age of 18 when most of us have no idea what to do with our lives! At 22, he was playing the Lead Role of Star One's Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahani and at 24, this man played the first superstar of television. He has achieved so much in a short span of 7 years and it makes us and his parents so proud.

On his 28th, we hope that we get to celebrate his birthday for many more years. May he remain healthy, wealthy and wise. Happy 28th to the man who has managed to charm us, break our hearts and rule our minds all at the same time.

Every year, we try and do something really special for Vivian and this year we came up with the idea of taking you all through the journey of his life using his own name - V.I.V.I.A.N D.S.E.N.A. Your name is a reflection of who you are and what you've done so far. It's fitting to say that Vivian's journey can be best understood going through his own name.

From Vicky Walia of Kasamh Se to Harman Singh of Shakti, Vivian has come a long way. On his 28th birthday, we present to you the various milestones he passed to get to where he is.

Vivian Dsena is known as the first Indian Vampire. In Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, he played the role of dashing Vampire, Abhay Raichand who falls in love with Piya Dobriyal. The dark love story of Abhay and Piya was one of most beautiful love stories ever shown on Indian telly and Abhiya are still remembered as one of best couples of television. There was never a movie or show made on Vampires on Indian telly before. It was the very first show on this unique concept and Vivian was the one chosen to play this unique character. He won millions of hearts with his character of Abhay Raichand. The show became very popular among youth. Even now, after few more supernatural shows tried & few other actors trying their hand at playing a vampire, it's still Abhay Raichand, who comes in our mind whenever we hear the words - "vampire love story" or "sexy/charming vampire."

Besides having magnificent looks, Vivian Dsena is a marvellous performer too. His screen presence is always impressive and he performs with perfection. His dedication towards his work has also brought him numerous accolades in forms of awards. In 2012, Vivian was awarded as the 'Great Performer of Year' in Indian television Academy Awards. Our beloved Vivian did not just do justice to the character he played, but he also made people swoon and go ga-ga over him like there was no tomorrow. He made a place for himself in the minds of the Jury and hearts' of the people. This made him win some major titles such as, Best Male Actor Jury (Gold awards), Best Jodi (ITA,GPA with Drashti Dhami) Male Personality of the year (AVTA), Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Award for excellence on Television.

Vivian Dsena, who allured the audience by his appealing looks, has also been declared as the '5th Sexiest Man' in the '50 Sexiest Asian Men' List for the year, 2015. The list was complied by UK based - Eastern Eye. In 2014, he was voted as the '4th Sexiest Man' in the same list. He maintained his spot in the Top 5 for two years consecutively. The Poll is annually conducted by Eastern Eye Magazine and it covers all the Bollywood actors & other celebrities of Asian decent from the different fields. It is definitely a big achievement to be included in 'top 5' twice in a row, when you are competing with all the greatest male celebrities of Asia (viz, Zayn Malik, Hrithik Roshan, Fawad Khan to name a few). Previously in 2013, he had managed to get hold of 24th place in the same list.

Vivian Dsena also made it to the 'Times Most Desirable List' two years consecutively in 2013 and 2014 on 31st and 46th positions respectively. He was one of the few actors of Indian television, who made it to this list placed alongside bollywood heartthrobs.

After playing the first Vampire of India, Vivian Dsena continued his tradition of playing unique characters and grabbed the epic role of Superstar Rishabh Kundra, for his next show Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. He was the first one to play the role of a Bollywood Superstar on Indian television. The character of RK is known for his grey shades and witty dialogues and Vivian was impeccable in depicting every shade of RK's character, whether it was showing arrogance, being vulnerable or acting as passionate lover. He was the soul of the show and portraying RK truly made him reach the heights of success. The show was loved by audience of all age groups. He made the character alive by his perfect portrayal of RK and although the show has ended a few years back it is still known as RK wala show.

Vivian Dsena is an adventure addict. Many times he has expressed his love for adventures in different interviews. When he was offered Khatron Ke Khiladi, it was like his dream-come-true moment for him to go through various adventurous stunts on the show. He appeared as Wild Card entry in Khatron Ke Khiladi season 7. Vivian put his heart and soul in completing the stunts and won majority of stunts competing with opposite partner. He always stayed away from onscreen scripted drama, and his only goal was to finish his task. Though he did not win the title but he won his fans heart all over again. It is worth mentioning that the real adventure of Vivian's life was to get over his biggest fear, dancing.. To face his dancing fear he took part in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Reloaded. All of his acts on JDJ were dignified, with no vulgarity nor were they supported with useless drama. When he exited from JDJ, he managed to get over his fear and become a decent dancer.

Vivian Dsena believes in experimenting and trying new things. He strongly believes every work should have a touch of novelty and he has proved it time and again, by bringing something different, every time he has returned onscreen. He clearly mentions it in many interviews that he wants to improve himself as an actor, and so he doesn't want to repeat the characters he has played before. After Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, he was offered many shows, but he declined the offers & waited for 2 long yrs, until he got another challenging role in Colors' new show 'Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki'. He plays the character of punjabi munda 'Harman Singh' in the show, who is a boy-next-door. Harman is carefree, flirtatious & funny & he is normal guy who thinks with mind and heart. It has been just one week since his entry on the show and Vivian is already being appreciated for his work in the show. The character of Harman is not superlative like RK & Abhay. Every work of Vivian Dsena is different & refreshing be it vampire Abhay raichand or grey-shaded Superstar RK and now punjabi munda Harman Singh. He always surprises his fans and audience with potrayal of such unique and epic characters.

It's not what a man does that makes his identity, it's who he is that makes the most difference. To be an achiever and still be able to look at the ways in which you can improve yourself makes you who you are!

Vivian has been blessed with extraordinary good looks which when always asked about, he maintains that it is in his genes. He manages to look Dashing and Droolworthy in anything he wears and he has proven it with his show Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani where his wardrobe only consisted of black and a specific black jacket (his soulmate :P) almost throughout the show. Black became his color since then, and if that was any less, his colorful wardrobe for his next role as a Superstar made him more droolworthy than he already was.

His good looks make him so desirable that even after his marriage, his fan following is not affected and is still going strong. He is one actor who need not go shirtless or flaunt his body to attract female fans' attention because , 'Uske chehre se nazar nahi hatt ti body hum kya dekhe'. And honestly, his 'gorgeous' face is enough to leave his fans drooling...Fans would agree that we know no other actor who could look both sexy and cute at the same time...

Vivian has always been the smart guy, be it in the professional sense or as an individual. He is someone who definitely has a mind of his own and only does and stays by what he thinks is right. He has never been the one to follow the herd. Even when it comes to fans, he never does something he doesn't feel like, just to please fans. He is a 'Listen to all but follow your heart' kinda guy. He also has an excellent IQ which can be seen every time a GK question is thrown at him. His witty sense of humour is also well known amongst his family, friends, fans as well the people who get BBB'ed by it (his witty humour). Vivian is also shy when it comes to certain things. He is shy to go shirtless onscreen and whenever fans ask him about it, he gets embarrassed while answering the same. Even in groupies, he prefers being at the last.

Apart from his good looks, there are many qualities of Vivian that leave fans enchanted. He has a certain charm in the way he portrays all his characters onscreen and his personality off screen that leaves fans amazed everytime. He gets into the skin of every character he plays and makes fans wonder if he is the same actor to have portrayed all. His genuine hardwork and passion for acting and learning reflects in the output he delivers. From PKYEK to his current show Shakti, everybody associated with his shows, has been vocal about this naughty side of him. Vivian has often mentioned how the first thing that comes to his mind the moment he hears 'PACK UP' is, who will be his target for his prank of the day. He leaves no one on the set and plays prank on everyone from the cast to the spot. Even the reporters who take his bytes are not spared by the naughty Vivian. He loves pulling their legs as well. His pranks also got him some amazing friends who are no less than family today and most importantly his wife, Vahbbiz...Yes, their first proper interaction was through a prank Vivian had pulled on Vahbbiz on the sets of PKYEK and that is how their love story began.

Vivian is an extremely affectionate husband, something which has always been witnessed by fans. His love and affection for wife Vahbbiz is clearly evident when he credits her for every achievement. When asked, Vahbbiz has always been a proud wife to answer how loving, a husband, he is and never fails to show his love and affection for her, be it taking her for shopping, buying her gifts or cooking for her. Not only his wife, but his friends too are a fan of the cook, Vivian. He often treats them with delicious dishes too. Vivian is completely a family man who loves to spend time with his family and close friends rather than being active on social sites. He is also an affectionate and loving son to both, his mother and mother-in-law. In all, He is a complete package.

Vivian might be a Star, a Superstar at that, a Hero to all of us, a Public figure, an Icon and so on...but that can hardly restrain him from being an excited Birthday Boy on his Birthday. If you have watched Vivian's birthday segments, we are assuming you did since none of his fans can give an entire segment on him a skip, you will know wherever he is on his birthday, be it at home or at set, he enjoys it to the fullest. And we are not complaining, since being an adorable birthday boy totally suits him! ❤️

See that smexy tongue of his 😛 How it is licking his smokey hot lips? ☺️ As if he can't wait to taste those yummy cakes in front of him. 😆 A perfect combination of excitement, adorableness & hot mess ☺️

Not only co-stars, being the down to earth person he is, Vivian takes great care to share his birthday cakes with the spot boys too. Such a nice gesture, no? 😳 & when it comes to his favourite spot boy, he doesn't stop at just feeding the cake, he makes sure to give a cake facial as well. 😆 Now we can't complain. A birthday boy does get to be a little naughty & mischievous after all. 😆

It's really not like our Superstar to forget his fans on such special day. And he of course doesn't. See, sharing a piece of cake with us so happily. 😃 Now that's another matter that he ends up eating that piece himself! 🤣
