Personal Review
Episode Analysis
The show starts in Udaipur City, Rajasthan where Preeti, a widow and the mother of two children is busy in the preparation of her son's wedding. Soon the scene shifted to Preeti's daughter's In law's house where two girls and their mother were narrating the story of a widow Preeti. Preeti is a dumb woman was a shocker for audience as generally in the promos she is speaking well. The more exploration reveals that she was dumb since 20 years for a massive reason for which you will have to watch the episode. KT arrived at the final scene and i must say the scene was so well executed and breathe taking. ❤️
Characters
The show has no negativity at all. All the characters are very relatable and reality inspired. Preeti's daughter's MIL Kusum Kothari is the woman who is grey but with a slice of comedy and humour. Preeti's daughter Juhi is a very sweet girl who loves her mom a lot and is married to the guy Sumer who is yet a good husband.
Tarun on the other hand Preeti's son is simply not a child which everyone expects to be. He is rude and selfish. His wife Rati, the bride is a contemporary woman of urban world is career oriented but at the same time a sweet knife precisely.
Preeti, the female lead is a vivacious woman who love her children a lot and can sacrifice anything for them. She is smart, sensitive and a very well written character. She writes poetry and has a very good sense of humour. She is well educated but things that are revealed about Preeti is that her dead husband never liked her or respected her which was revealed by her daughter. She is secretly looking for a life partner who can understand her and her heart.
Cinematography & Sets
The show has excelled in terms of cinematography. It gives a pure vibe of celebration and joy hiding all the pains and agony inside. The lights are very heart warming and soothing. A fresh breathe of air prolly.
In terms of sets, the show has no fancy or lavishing sets. The houses are simple and modern looking flats and very dated, there's no feel of unrealism anywhere.
Screenplay & Direction
The screenplay is very good and it dont make you feel bore rather it make you to feel and explore more about this show and the shady characters. The direction is absolutely on point.
Background music & scores
Bgms are very pleasant and mostly warm. The dramatic bgms have a modern touch too but the icing on top of cake is the Iktara song which is surprisingly the title track of this show.
Special Mention
Kusum Kothari.... Sarara 🤣
Overall
Honestly i didnt found anything negative about this show. Its a beautiful slice of life drama which has a good contemporary touch to everything. The show is real and socially well connecting. The new aspects of the show are its simplicity and even being a mature love story connects well with coming of age generation. I would rate it 8.5 / 10. Best of luck to the whole team of Shaadi Mubarak. Hopefully it will be a chart burster in trp charts. 🤗👍🏼
