Aam ke aam gutliyon ke daam

"Aam ke aam gutliyon ke daam" is an idiom that literally translates to be able to recover the price of the seeds over and above that of mangoes. This saying is somewhat akin to saying "to kill two birds with one stone".

Jug Head, however, gave a unique twist to the word 'gutliyon' or seeds. He referred to the seed as a 'bribe'. Of course the commissioner vehemently refused his proposal.

Interestingly the CVs had Jug Head take a box of raw mangoes. Now this is what I call "the mangoes are sour" instead of the "grapes are sour".

A food related idiom that befits Jug Head is "Na kaam ka na khaaj ka dushman anaaj ka" - meaning he is good for nothing other than trouble!! 😉😊
