Sometimes when you sacrifice something precious, you're not really losing it. You're just passing it on to someone else. Mitch Albom
sacrifice-giving up something that is important or valuable to you in order to get or do something that seems more important; something that you give up in this way. the act of offering something to a god, especially an animal that has been killed in a special way; destruction or surrender of something for the sake of something else.
The word Sacrifice from the Latin sacrificium, from sacer, meaning “holy,” and facere, meaning “to make.” The root sacer is also the basis for words like sacred and sacrilege. Sacrifice is always used in the context of giving something up for a higher purpose, whether that purpose is religious or not.
The killing of an animal or a human being at the altar of Gods and Goddesses is an ancient practice and has been going on for a long time and all over the world. Every civilization has a history of animal and human sacrifice and there is evidence for it going back thousands of years.
Unlike Vaigai Puyal Vadivels famous line " Room pottu yosipangalo " when he gets attacked by people, the idea of sacrificing a human being surely came from another human being. Obviously, that human must have been in a position of power or a part of the advisory group of a king or queen and must have gone like this in his head and to his king.
' Your Highness, if sacrificing a goat or a bull can satisfy our God, just imagine how happy and satisfied it will feel when we sacrifice a human being. A pure human soul, innocent and unsullied in both body and mind'.
Well, Clementina the head witch and the leader of the Romany had that thought in her head as she brought down the large ceremonial sword on her Virgin daughter Tara who had yet to come of age even though she was more than a hundred years old.
But, the sword landed on the chest of Dhanashekara Pandyan who threw himself between Tara and the sword that landed on his chest and sliced it open. Prising the sword out of Dhana's chest, Clementina once again raised the sword over her head aiming to bring it down on both the man and her daughter and sacrifice them both to Goddess Kali but it did not go as planned. Two things happened and in forensic science, they are called Impact spatter.
Impact spatter is the most common bloodstain pattern type in a crime scene. It occurs when an object hits a source of blood. Blood from Dhana's body sprayed on the statue of Goddess Kali when the sword was brought down and more blood flew out and spattered on the Goddess's face when Clementina pulled the sword out to strike again.
The blood of Dhana bathed Kali's feet and sprayed all over her face and magic happened.
A scream of anger was heard by all of them and all their eyes turned as one and stared at the huge statue of Goddess Kali that began to move, vibrate and shimmer with a strange white light pouring out of it and then much to their shock and surprise it shattered to pieces and crumbled to the ground.
A light as bright as the mid-day sun erupted engulfing the dungeon forcing their eyes to shut themselves lest they get burnt and destroyed. After blazing away for several seconds, the light vanished as quickly as it had arrived. Then, sensing the disappearance of the light and not knowing what to expect all of them opened their eyes with hearts full of trepidation and were astonished to see a little girl standing there with her hands on her hips, with a captivating smile dancing on her lips.
