Today’s episode is something….which I really unable to give a proper review… for us who had been cherishing MV for years this episode is a precious treasure… It made us go through various emotions….. Saw it in the morning itself…. And was in transe for a long time after my first watch…. Since then I have been watching this episode on loop. After every watch I tried to write my review but my words fell short…. It was tough!!... very very tough job to define the various emotions I went through while watching the episode without blinking my eyes from start to end.
Today I really can’t say who shinned most in his/her respective role. Centre stage was nodoubt stole by Vasanta and Appu but the people who surrounded them in that crucial time even their silence and screen presence told so many things… All I could say when the story flows so smoothly conveying the heart’s deepest emotion crafted by beautiful realistic dialogues and wonderfully portrayed by talented actors then only something like this majestic could be formed.
I still remember during that kodachadri trip episode when we got to see that dream proposal of varna (through Vikram Sahab’s nightmare of course :P) our only demand was that when Vasanta would really propose Appu that it should be better than this one… that was something with blew with our mind with its beauty since then we had been waiting…. And finally we could say that the wait was worth….
Both Vasanta and Aparna both took my heart today…. The revelation of Appu’s past which we only had the abstract idea all these days finally came out… The orphaned girl who finds her happiness and refuge in someone special…. But cruel fate snatched that only drop of happiness from her…. Like the short lived season of spring he left and her life turned into barren land…. From that shattered condition she recollected her broken heart and stood up and started her unending battle to survive in the barren land…. Cause giving up was not her choice and not in her mettle…. She was hiding all these inside her and finally when she released them all one by one… letting go of the heavy stone she was holding in her heart the emotion flowed out through her tears and reached the viewers… at that moment you would have sympathy for the girl but even more than that you would feel proud for her…. She didn’t let the tragedy break her… she graciously fought the battle and won….
The moment after describing her story when she asked Vasanta if after knowing everything he would still be ready to marry her that moment was….. What to say….. The emotional turmoil created there was wonderful…. Appu knew that there was no chance for her…. The season of spring has left her life long ago and it would never ever come back…. But still in a corner of her heart this man has ignited a small chink of hope despite all the odd and she didn’t even know how…. She was hoping against the obvious and ready for heartbreak….
When this particular moment reached my breath literally stopped there in anticipation…. Though I had full faith on Vasanta but still the moment engaged me too much…… seriously hats off to the whole team… hardly we get such impactful moment in tv serials
Then…. The moment came which completely took my heart away… Vasanta’s answer to aparna’s question…. And his words to her… I really don’t have words to describe how beautiful it was…. As he slowly cleared the cloud of doubts from her head one by one…… I was feeling emotional and smiling like a fool….. Feeling proud of him as well… It was like… Appu’s years of hardship was finally answered and God blessed her with a Gem of a person like Vasanta who loved her unconditionally….. The love which is rarest and purest of all….
For this scene I need to mention the gem of those dialogues written… The emotion was flowing with each and every word depicting his truest and purest love for her… He didn’t care about her past and loved her purely…. Giving her the place of God within the temple of his heart…. His inspiration…..only her…..
The moment he said, given a chance he would accompany her till the pyre…….seriously hats offf…… how impactful and beautifully defined the depth of his true love for her….. That moment I was seriously feeling proud to invest my time for this show…
And my applause to Rakshit again…. Truly he breathed life to the character Vasanta with his wonderful acting… He made us feel the character’s emotion to such a depth that we ended up adoring and cherishing the character like never before… His acting backed up by the wonderful team effort made this character that much iconic…
The most cherishable moment of the eps came for me when Appu started to recall her past memories with Vasanta…. I didn’t know how to define this but previously when I used to imagine how Vasanta and Aparna’s ultimate love confession will be, like some avid viewers of the show I had some of my own expectations and imagination…. One of those top wishes was that…. I wanted Appu to recall all the moments she spent with Vasu before making her final decision…..And when I was witnessing that wish getting fulfilled, I was literally at a loss of words… and those flashbacks which were chosen for the scenes…. They were like the shining diamonds which can never fade with the dust of time…. As someone who had been witnessing varna’s journey from the beginning… It was a very very emotional and overwhelming moment for us…. To go through that precious memory and witnessing them getting bound forever in wedlock finally…..Thank you all for this wonderful journey…. It couldn’t be more perfect than this…..
Lastly I would say…. The real confession truly surpassed the dream one….. The sweetest fruit we could have for our patience….
Rest of the episode was a joyride…. Chandrappa and Shastri Appaji’s excitement on the marriage gave us so much pleasure….. We actually never thought that chandrappa would be so happy in this marriage….
Only a lil small thing I need to say at the end…..When Godji’s.. :P….. Sorry i mean Vasanta number one (hope I can call him this now) was shot that moment I found a little rushed and less convincing…. According to appu there was a gang war happening nearby then why were they happily sitting there and eating ice cream together ? they should have left the place as soon as the chaos occurs… :P…. Anyway that was ignorable and I didn't mind that much…
Other than this….. This was gem of an eps… <3
