Avan, Aval Adhu 268

Gayatri tentatively approached Partha and standing by his side, ' what do you mean by saying you hope Ravi spares them? How can you say that when there are nearly six criminals out there hunting us? Is there something that I don't know about Ravi?'

Partha looked at her with a ghost of a smile on his lips and asked, ' Do you know what Jallikattu means?'

' Yes, I do and have taken photos of that bull-taming competition a long time ago for the 2017 National Geographic special edition about India. That was the year when massive protests broke out all over Tamil Nadu when the central Govt decided to ban the tradition of Jallikattu. What's that got to do with Ravi?'

Daksha whispered, ' because Ravi was a five-time jallikattu champion back in his twenties. His record for taming the most dangerous breeds still stands for nobody has conquered a Kangeyam bull and a Pulikulam bull in one competition.'

Gayatri's voice was full of shock and awe, ' Ravi is a jallikattu champion?'

Partha nodded his head, ' Yes he is and a whole lot more than a jallikattu champion. He is also an Adimurai master and a silambam master and his reputation is well known in and around Madurai.'

' Adimurai, Adimurai. Why does that word sound so familiar to me?'

Partha smiled and looked at Daksha who sniggered sarcastically, ' maybe you took some photos of them too?'

Gayatri smiled understandingly for she knew the reason for the anger and sarcasm that Daksha was sending her way and said, ' No photos but I have seen it being practised. Live and right before my eyes. Adimurai is a child of Kalaripayattu and Silambam is fighting with a stick. I have seen both of them.'

Then in a soft voice, ' a long time ago. In another time and in another world.'

Gayatri closed her eyes and as the tears once again flowed down her cheeks, she remembered Madhu leaping away from the ground and landing in a fighting pose and then her memory flooded back and opening her eyes she said, ' samanilai, pirivunilai and thayarnilai ' and looked at Partha who smiled and clapped softly ' Not bad. Not bad at all '.

Daksha looking out into the darkness whispered ominously, ' Take a man who beats and brings down bulls weighing half a ton or more and who also happens to be a master in ancient fighting skills. Then add to that 25 years of pain, anger and a broken heart ' and she slowly turned and stared at Gayatri, ' then you take a woman who he has fallen in love with who insults him and hurts him not knowing what or who he is like a silly, spoilt brat.'

Sighing sadly, she turned away and said, ' he is going to slaughter them. But, knowing him I am sure he will warn them and give them a chance to walk away from the fight.'

Gayatri could not help the sob that escaped from her soul and crying softly, she mumbled, ' I have no choice and I stand no chance against her. That is why I ...............'

Both, Partha and Gayatri looked at her in confusion for they could not make sense of her words.

They would not and none would at the present but eventually, all of them would.

The Egg By Andy Weir

You were on your way home when you died.

It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me.

And that’s when you met me.

“What… what happened?” You asked. “Where am I?”

“You died,” I said, matter-of-factly. No point in mincing words.

“There was a… a truck and it was skidding…”

“Yup,” I said.

“I… I died?”

“Yup. But don’t feel bad about it. Everyone dies,” I said.

You looked around. There was nothingness. Just you and me. “What is this place?” You asked. “Is this the afterlife?”

“More or less,” I said.

“Are you god?” You asked.

“Yup,” I replied. “I’m God.”

“My kids… my wife,” you said.

“What about them?”

“Will they be all right?”

“That’s what I like to see,” I said. “You just died and your main concern is for your family. That’s good stuff right there.”

You looked at me with fascination. To you, I didn’t look like God. I just looked like some man. Or possibly a woman. Some vague authority figure, maybe. More of a grammar school teacher than the almighty.

“Don’t worry,” I said. “They’ll be fine. Your kids will remember you as perfect in every way. They didn’t have time to grow contempt for you. Your wife will cry on the outside, but will be secretly relieved. To be fair, your marriage was falling apart. If it’s any consolation, she’ll feel very guilty for feeling relieved.”

“Oh,” you said. “So what happens now? Do I go to heaven or hell or something?”

“Neither,” I said. “You’ll be reincarnated.”

“Ah,” you said. “So the Hindus were right,”

“All religions are right in their own way,” I said. “Walk with me.”

You followed along as we strode through the void. “Where are we going?”

“Nowhere in particular,” I said. “It’s just nice to walk while we talk.”

“So what’s the point, then?” You asked. “When I get reborn, I’ll just be a blank slate, right? A baby. So all my experiences and everything I did in this life won’t matter.”

“Not so!” I said. “You have within you all the knowledge and experiences of all your past lives. You just don’t remember them right now.”

I stopped walking and took you by the shoulders. “Your soul is more magnificent, beautiful, and gigantic than you can possibly imagine. A human mind can only contain a tiny fraction of what you are. It’s like sticking your finger in a glass of water to see if it’s hot or cold. You put a tiny part of yourself into the vessel, and when you bring it back out, you’ve gained all the experiences it had.

“You’ve been in a human for the last 48 years, so you haven’t stretched out yet and felt the rest of your immense consciousness. If we hung out here for long enough, you’d start remembering everything. But there’s no point to doing that between each life.”

“How many times have I been reincarnated, then?”

“Oh lots. Lots and lots. An in to lots of different lives.” I said. “This time around, you’ll be a Chinese peasant girl in 540 AD.”

“Wait, what?” You stammered. “You’re sending me back in time?”

“Well, I guess technically. Time, as you know it, only exists in your universe. Things are different where I come from.”

“Where you come from?” You said.

“Oh sure,” I explained “I come from somewhere. Somewhere else. And there are others like me. I know you’ll want to know what it’s like there, but honestly you wouldn’t understand.”

“Oh,” you said, a little let down. “But wait. If I get reincarnated to other places in time, I could have interacted with myself at some point.”

“Sure. Happens all the time. And with both lives only aware of their own lifespan you don’t even know it’s happening.”

“So what’s the point of it all?”

“Seriously?” I asked. “Seriously? You’re asking me for the meaning of life? Isn’t that a little stereotypical?”

“Well it’s a reasonable question,” you persisted.

I looked you in the eye. “The meaning of life, the reason I made this whole universe, is for you to mature.”

“You mean mankind? You want us to mature?”

“No, just you. I made this whole universe for you. With each new life you grow and mature and become a larger and greater intellect.”

“Just me? What about everyone else?”

“There is no one else,” I said. “In this universe, there’s just you and me.”

You stared blankly at me. “But all the people on earth…”

“All you. Different incarnations of you.”

“Wait. I’m everyone!?”

“Now you’re getting it,” I said, with a congratulatory slap on the back.

“I’m every human being who ever lived?”

“Or who will ever live, yes.”

“I’m Abraham Lincoln?”

“And you’re John Wilkes Booth, too,” I added.

“I’m Hitler?” You said, appalled.

“And you’re the millions he killed.”

“I’m Jesus?”

“And you’re everyone who followed him.”

You fell silent.

“Every time you victimized someone,” I said, “you were victimizing yourself. Every act of kindness you’ve done, you’ve done to yourself. Every happy and sad moment ever experienced by any human was, or will be, experienced by you.”

You thought for a long time.

“Why?” You asked me. “Why do all this?”

“Because someday, you will become like me. Because that’s what you are. You’re one of my kind. You’re my child.”

“Whoa,” you said, incredulous. “You mean I’m a god?”

“No. Not yet. You’re a fetus. You’re still growing. Once you’ve lived every human life throughout all time, you will have grown enough to be born.”

“So the whole universe,” you said, “it’s just…”

“An egg.” I answered. “Now it’s time for you to move on to your next life.”

And I sent you on your way.

Avan, Aval Adhu 269

Madhu stood surrounded by a lot of men and even from a distance it was visible to Ravi that some of them were drunk and that always meant trouble in these parts of Madurai. He knew some of them very well for they hung around his uncle Dharmalingam's house and always made an appearance during political rallies, meetings, council elections and state elections. They were muscles whose only use was to terrorize and strike fear in people's hearts. Ravi knew his uncle very well and also had become aware of the fact that most of the scum hung around the house not for his uncle but for his cousin brother, Sundaralingam who had just been promoted as the head of the Madurai youth wing.

Pushing all that aside, Ravi ran straight into them and pushing Madhu protectively behind his back locked horns with the drunkards. Most of them were in their early and mid-twenties while three were older and most likely in their late thirties or early forties. All of them were older than him and Madhu and yet it hadn't stopped Ravi from getting angry and then Madhu whispered something in Bengali and that instantly changed everything.

Some of them knew that Ravi was training in the famous Adimurai fighting style but were not sure what level he was at and then again, he was a kid when compared to them.

Ravi asked in Bengali, ' Ya apanake humaki diyeche? ( which one threatened you) ' and Madhu had pointed to the one man standing right in front of them and who Ravi knew was called Sembattai on account of his bleached hair that had never seen a drop of oil in its life.

' Eita ' she said and the next moment Sembattai was lying on the ground having suffered what appeared to be a sudden epileptic fit. The men surrounding Ravi and Madhu scattered away in an instant like dry leaves blown away by sudden gusts of wind and standing in a distance cursed loudly, ' This guy knows Varmakalai too?'

One of the men who was too far gone with his booze stepped forward with a long stick and tried hard to stand in a familiar position and in a blink of an eye, Ravi had leapt into the air and had come crashing onto the man who fell to the ground unconscious.

The sight of Ravi leaping into the air was like Lord Hanuman leaping into the air and flying off towards Lanka in search of Queen Sita. Madhu stood spellbound in admiration and pride realising that while Hanumanji had to take a viswaroopam, a giant form to leap and fly into the air, Ravi had not needed that. For his anger was his Viswaroopam.

Without even realizing it, she yelled, ' Rabi thama'o. Daya kare tadera aghata karabena na.( Ravi stop, please don't hurt them).

Ravi turned and glared at her and his eyes were so intense in their anger that it shocked and scared her and falling to her knees she begged him, ' Santa ho, Santa ho, jaanu. ( calm down, please calm down my love).

All of them including Madhu heard Ravi angrily grinding his teeth and then he growled madly, ' I ought to kill all of you for your sins and I am sure that everyone in the land will support me in my stand. You are drunk and are not in your senses and that is the only reason why I am sparing you. Or else....' and pointing to the Amman temple tower in the distance, ' I swear on Kali amma, I would have chopped you all up and fed you to the crows.'

He felt the movement before he saw them. He sensed their presence before they even closed upon him and Ravi smiled and stepped out of the time barrier whispering, ' I am sorry Madhu. I am really sorry for what I might do. But then, you are not here anymore but far, far away from me.'

Kissing the flowers he turned to face the five men who stood before him and as they had suspected, they were indeed armed with sharp knives. Ravi looked to his left and right searching for the sixth man for it was that individual in who he was most interested.

He did not have to wait for too long, for the man on his mind, came through the fog and joined the others and looked casually at Ravi and then proceeded to ask his criminal colleagues if they had seen anybody else.

Ravi's eyes were glued to the sixth man. He saw the man take out a phone and from the way he was swiping the screen, he knew that he was going through some photos. His assumption was proved correct when the man stepped closer to him, raised the phone and tapped on it, ' where is this woman? We want her and have come for her only. If you let us do that, then you and your friends will come to no harm. If not..'

' If not?' Ravi asked politely with a polite look on his face and the Sixth man smiled politely or at least he tried to but failed for his polite smile was more like Death itself standing before you and apologizing for having appeared rather abruptly.

' If not, everyone dies but for you.'

Ravi smiled and taking a few steps forwards towards the Sixth man spoke to him in a melancholic voice, ' thought as much, Paliyan' and realizing that he was being deliberately nasty, hurriedly apologized, ' Sorry. I am sorry but that was uncalled for. For how can the Paliyan tribe be blamed for the actions of one a..hole.'

The Paliyan smiled and the brilliant white of his teeth on his black shiny face appeared to Ravi as if they were bright stars in the dark moonless sky.

' I would happily kill you and smile as I do it but for my master.'

' You mean mistress as in your boss, Meenakshi. You see master is masculine although I do agree with you that Meenakshi is in a way very masculine in the way that she lives her life.'

If he felt any shock or confusion on hearing Ravi mention his master's name, his face did not reveal it but the anger in his voice did so.

The Paliyan stared hard at Ravi and said, ' you are all alone here. Just you ' and pointing to the others, ' forget them for I am more than enough to kill you and the others. So, stop wasting time and tell us where that woman is so that we can get on with our job.'

' Just me and all alone ' Ravi said and looked at the Paliyan, ' what does it tell you?'

' It tells me that you are stupid and reckless.'

' Yes and No. Yes, if I happened to be like all those poor souls you must have killed over the years and No if I happened to be different ' and the next moment the Paliyan flew backwards and crashed into his criminal colleagues.

Avan, Aval Adhu 270

The Paliyan jumped back to his feet and snarled showing his fangs and hissed, ' You shouldn't have done that.'

' That was nothing for I was really just stretching my leg ' Ravi said in a calm but grim voice and to their ears it felt like the God of death was confirming his identity when asked about it.

He looked at the five north Indians who were looking nervously at the Paliyan for guidance and issued a warning. Pointing to the Paliyan, ' Him I am going to kill and nothing is going to change my mind for I have a personal score to settle. But you kids, I am going to let live although I promise you will all be going to jail for a long time. So, I will keep you all alive until the police reach us and then they can take over.'

The Paliyan knew that he was swimming in dangerous waters for the kick that this stranger had just delivered and called it stretching his leg had felt more like a train that had crashed into him. He knew that this was make-or-break time.

A long time ago, his father had died after being mauled by a leopard. Death had not come soon and had not come easy but it had come eventually.

Murugan could not believe that his father, a legendary tracker, hunter and secret assassin could be taken down and he had sat next to his father as the man, his hero lived out the final hours of his life.

His father had opened his eyes and slowly whispered, ' This leopard was different. Very different and its tactics surprised me ' smiling he said, ' that is why I lost and that is why I am dying.'

' Aiya, how is that possible? How can a cat fool you, the greatest hunter in the history of the Paliyan race? Nothing in this forest moves without you knowing about it. '

' Muruga, this cat was abnormal and did not behave like a normal leopard. A normal cat would have heard me coming a long way off and would have run away to some safe hiding. But not this cat for it did just the opposite. It walked out to fight me and it was not bothered about the Gun and the other weapons that I was carrying. It was too late.'

This man who at first sight had appeared to be a small and beautiful mountain on which plenty of fruit-bearing trees and flower-bearing plants grew now seemed to have dropped that appearance and now stood before them as a seething Volcano that was just moments away from exploding.

The Paliyan Murugan whispered to his northie colleagues, ' We were told not to hurt him but we have no choice for it is now him or us.'

Ajay and Bahadur nodded their heads and together with the others all five of them swarmed towards Ravi like angry bees whose hive had been suddenly disturbed.

Crowding, and swarming is actually a very good tactic for the defender will be stuck looking all around him and thus will open himself up for an attack. But, then that is for normal-minded people and not meant for Ravi who had thought this out and was ready for it.

Five people usually mean one or two bold ones while the others are there just to make up the numbers. Ravi knew that the Paliyan was the danger and that the young Northies were in fact petty criminals who had been promoted to deadlier crimes and sins by need and by greed.

The moment the five swarmed towards him, Ravi moved with speed that stunned them and by the time they realized what had happened he had broken through them and had neared the Paliyan. His movement forward had flattened three of them who lay on the ground with twisted arms and cocked necks and the odds were nearly even now.

Ravi knew the Paliyan was good and smart but had no idea who conniving and potent, evil could really be for he did something that Ravi least expected him to do and it changed everything.

He opened his mouth and groaned loudly and then screamed as if in great agony.

Ravi blinked once and then twice before realizing what was going on but it was too late for the screams of agony had reached Cottage no.7 and reached the already broken heart of Gayatri who gasped in shock and fear and whispered her soul's name.

' Ravi, Ravi, what is wrong with you? Are you hurt, baby? and even before Partha or Daksha could stop her, Gayatri ran out of the cottage towards where she thought Ravi lay injured and with her act all hell broke loose.

Avan, Aval Adhu 271

He looked at her with a smile and said, ' your heart is not in the right place and will not be until that golden deer is in your possession. I will bring it to you ' and then looked at his brother and commanded, ' You will stay here and protect her ' and left to capture the Golden deer and fulfil his wife's desire.

But, a little while later, both heard loud wailing noises that a person usually makes when they are badly injured or even on the verge of death and she told him, ' Go, please go and check on your brother.'

The brother who stood guard smiled and replied, ' Mother, it is just a ploy, a clever diversion and nothing else.'

But, she in desperate anger and fear screamed and abused her husband's younger brother and the very person who stood guard and would have willingly sacrificed his life for her.

With no other choice, he left and soon Ravan arrived and left kidnapping Sita.

Partha yelled, ' Gayatri. Listen to me. That is not Ravi but somebody else making those noises. Please be patient for you might put us all in danger.'

But, it was too late, for Gayatri blundered the same way as Queen Sita did all those years ago and she would pay the price. In a way at least.

The moment the Paliyan tribal had made those groaning and wailing noises, Ravi knew that he was up to something and quickly realized that the noises were indeed a sort of vocal bait to bring out Gayatri and his heart went cold and full of dread as he heard her scream out his name in fear and worry.

A normal person would have turned towards the person who was calling to them and it is understandable but Ravi did not and instead glued his eyes on the Paliyan assassin who suddenly ran backwards and before Ravi could yell a warning had drawn two long knives and had flung them towards Gayatri.

The Paliyan had been throwing knives from the time he had been three years old and it had been 50 years since he had missed a target. But he did today. In a sense, the knives raced and buried themselves in the tree that was right behind Gayatri. Why did they not find their Gayatri and where did she go all of a sudden? How did the Paliyan miss his target?'

The moment the Knives were launched towards Gayatri was the very moment that the Rangoon creeper slowly bent itself and tripped her, bringing her down to the ground. The very same vine that Ravi had caressed a few minutes ago in memory of Madhu and also because the vine's other name was Madhumalti.

Ravi roared like an angry lion and ran towards the Paliyan whose face revealed the disappointment he felt for having let down his Mistress Meenakshi and also because he knew that his time was up and that the leopard story his father had told him was finally coming true after all these years.

There was one particular kind of attack in Varmakalai that has been kept secret for thousands of years and is taught only to a select group of students and they, in turn, protect the ancient skills and ways and hand it over to the next generation.

Very few were aware that Ravi was one of the guardian masters of the vanishing skills of Dravidian martial arts and medicine.

All the Paliyan assassin saw was a flurry of hand movements made by Ravi and then he felt his chest explode and fill itself with unbearable pain, and realizing it was too late, he struck one final blow.

But, the Paliyan tribal Murugan had one last ace up his sleeve and he used that to wreak his vengeance on the man and the leopard that had dared foil his plans.

With almost superhuman effort, the Paliyan tribal extended his right hand towards Ravi who for a second, thought of taking it but wisely did not and could not for from the hidden compartment of the tribal's forearm, a thin knife-life projectile leapt out of its housing and crossed the two feet and found a new home in Ravi's chest and instantly went to work for it was not the knife that would do the killing but the poison that coated it.

The killer fell to the ground dead and his killer fell to the ground, dying.

The two remaining Northie criminals grabbed the bag that contained the money given to the Paliyan by Meenakshi and ran away towards the gate.

Avan, Aval Adhu 272

Several things happened at the same time as Ravi fell to the ground clutching the thin steel blade that was buried in his chest. Gayatri got to her feet cursing the vine that had tripped totally unaware that it was the very vine that had saved her life. Partha moved towards the two men who were running out of the gate with a large duffel bag in their arms but was stopped by Daksha and both of them joined Gayatri whose face resembled someone who has seen a ghost for the first time and had been scared out of their wits.

She whimpered in fear and pointed to Ravi's chest and both of them gasped in fear seeing the blade sticking out of his body, and then all of them looked up as the night sky was filled with lights and sounds that only a helicopter's rotors would make.

Inspector Sargunam was the first one out of the helicopter and was soon followed by 12 police commandos who immediately fanned out in all directions with their machine guns and took guard.

Guna ran towards them yelling Gayatri's name, ' Ma'am, are you all right? you are not hurt right?'

Then his feet skidded in the gravel as he caught sight of Ravi lying on the ground and screamed ' Master sir, Master sir ' and Partha grabbed his shoulder, ' Guna, I am glad you are here. We need to move him now if we want to save him and before it is too late.'

Everything happened quickly and in a blur and finally, the Police helicopter took off towards Madurai with all of them and with Ravi fighting for his life.

Even as the wind buffeted them inside the open compartment and even as the rotors above them whined terribly, Partha's voice was heard loud and clear by all of them and to Inspector Sargunam.

He looked with red eyes full of tears. Red from anger and crimson from pain. ' I have never hated anybody as much as I hate you, Gayatri. I think you are a curse, a sickness that can only bring pain and sorrow to everyone's life. I wish that you had never come here to our lands with all this evil that is inside you.'

Daksha cursed under her breath, ' He told you specifically to not come out. Partha warned you and yet being the stubborn and arrogant bitch that you are, you distracted him and now you might end up being that person who was the reason for this great man's death.'

Partha looked at Gayatri, ' what have you done in your life that others can be really proud of? Name one thing. Look at my friend, look at my Ravi who has spent all his life working for others, caring for and protecting those who need it. Not one or two, but thousands of students all over the world speak his name with the same respect and love they have for God himself and you come and destroy all that in one moment.'

Wiping his tears, ' I hope we never see you again. You are nothing but evil and trouble. It is our misfortune and karma that you had to come into our lives. But, I am warning you. Please don't ever show your face again around these parts for if they know that you are the reason for Ravi's death then they will rip you to pieces and burn you in a stake and maybe you do deserve it.'

Daksha covered his mouth with her hand and said, ' Enough Baby. I am scared that all your curses might just come true for it is said that when a good and kind soul curses it always happens.'

Gayatri sat frozen like a statue, unblinking and without even a slight movement.

That was how Partha and Daksha saw her as the ambulance sped away with them and Ravi's body inside it. That was the last they saw of her and it would be a long time before anyone would see her again.

The ambulance screeched to a halt outside the Madurai Rajaji Govt hospital and the moment the doors opened, Ravi's unconscious body was lifted out and placed in the stretcher and rushed towards the examination room.

Partha and Daksha heard the same word " master, master " being whispered loudly and they looked at each other in surprise, and seeing their reaction, Inspector Sargunam nodded and said, ' I know and it never ceases to amaze me how deep and widespread master's sir reach is and sometimes I wonder if anyone can remain untouched by him.'

They stood watching as nearly six doctors surrounded Ravi's body and began to thoroughly check him.

They heard technical jargon being thrown about. ' Faint pulse. Irregular beat. Blade seems to have missed the Aorta. Blue sticky kind of substance on the blade and looks like poison.'

They stood watching as Ravi was taken away for surgery to remove the blade and also for other tests.

Inspector Sargunam sighed tiredly and looked at both of them and asked what had been the circumstances that had led to Ravi being stabbed and just when Partha was about to answer him, Daksha grabbed him and said, ' As your advocate, my advise is that we both remain silent until we know more and for certain.'

Guna chuckled, ' Ma'am, this is me, Guna. Master sirs student. Nothing is more important to me that his safety and well-being. Not even my job.'

Daksha shrugged her shoulders and said, ' I know that Guna but this is huge and this case will not be only about Ravi but who sent people to attack us and Gayatri.'

No sooner has she finished saying the words, they heard a huge commotion and the doors being banged open, and striding towards them, came Dharmalinga Thevar, the ruling party's MLA and who also happened to be Ravi's uncle.

"DOCTORS VS JUDGES":

Judiciary should also come under CPA (Consumer Protection Act).

--In the Salman Khan hit and run case the LOWER court judge and the HIGH court judge had the SAME pieces of EVIDENCE to deal with.

--They also had the SAME Indian LAW to abide by and most probably they had similar education qualifications too.

--Yet they INTERPRETED the situation in absolutely CONTRASTING manner and gave verdicts which are poles apart.

--Just imagine what would have happened if a YOUNG doctor sitting in a GOVERNMENT hospital doctor catering to hundreds of patients in a day had diagnosed a celebrity patient presenting with gastric discomfort as GASTRITIS and another hospital had LATER on diagnosed that patient to be having a MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION. I am sure that doctor would have been screwed and jailed.

--A JUDGE gets YEARS to decide on a case

unlike a DOCTOR who is expected to diagnose and treat everything in the BLINK of an eye.

--If a doctor making a wrong diagnosis can be prosecuted shouldn't a judge giving wrong verdicts meet the same fate?

--If hospitals can be sued for not admitting poor patients shouldn't the courts be prosecuted for having lacs of pending cases?

--Is it not appalling that a judge taking 12 years to give a wrong verdict gets away unhurt and a doctor making one mistake is screwed by our legal system?

--Doctors practice medicine which is more of an art than an exact science whereas law is absolutely 100% manmade, yet doctors are expected to be right on all occasions.

--If doctors and hospitals have a duty towards the society then does the judiciary not have a responsibility towards the socitey.

--If there is so much of hue and cry in media about doctors and hospitals charging huge sums from patients then why do we not ever hear a word on the fee that lawyers like Manu singhvi and Jethmalani charge for their court appearances.

--Government often talks about putting a capping on the fees doctors charge for various procedures but their is no talk of putting a capping on the fee that these lawyers charge to get justice for their clients.

--If health is a citizen's right then so is justice. Shall we take our minds off worshipping false heroes & think?

*JUDICIARY SHOULD ALSO COME UNDER CPA (CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT)*
