Paalai set for release in Norway

Actress Shammu's latest release, Paalai, is going places, quite literally. The period film, which talks about the Tamil culture centuries ago, was screened in Norway at a private screening on December 18, and the film is set for a regular release in the country by the end of this month. Confirms director Senthamizhan, "Paalai is probably the first Tamil film to be released in Norway at regular theatres. We don't boast of popular cast and crew, and yet, the film received good reviews from people back home. We had a private screening of the film two days ago, and now, we're getting it censored in Norway and releasing it in Tamil with English subtitles, tentatively on December 27." He adds, "Balu Mahendra saw the film and said it's a film that has to be screened across the globe. He felt the film was made according to international standards and now, we're in the process of getting it released across the world."
