The efforts executed have not gone in vain in the case of Velayutham and 7am Arivu. Even before the release, the movies created a great sense of expectations among the audience. Based on strong promo plans, the movies hit the screens for this Deepavali. Everyone is aware that the tickets for the initial week shows were all booked for both the movies. Hence, it is no wonder that there was a grand opening notes for Vijay and Surya. In fact, this had been the major reason that other movies from Dhanush, Simbu, have been postponed due to November.
According to some sources in Kollywood, the gate collection for these two movies put together may account for Rs 80 crores in the past five days. One factor which may be attributed for this is the advance booking without knowing the fate of the movie. The producers of these two movies – Aascar Movies and Udayanidhi Stalin – are overwhelmed about the collection. It is to be seen who between these two heroes – Vijay and Surya – will receive the reward for the most collection. 7am Arivu has become a good launch pad for Shruti Hassan personally. And for Actor Vijay, Velayutham is a major breakthrough for his trough career ups and downs in recent times.
