RoSid Meet Scene.
AT THE HOSPITAL - ROLI'S ROOM.
Roli was lying flat on the bed snoring away. Sat next to her was her big sister Simar who also dozed off looking after Roli. Not long enough later there was a knock on the door. Roli's eyes opened all of a sudden and she was also surprised at what she was wearing and where she was. Simar had also woken up.
"May I come in?" Came a ladys voice.
"Yes you may come in" said Simar.
The door opened and it was the nurse who walled in with a book and pen in her hand. Roli realised she was at the hospital. The nurse walked towards her and asked how she was feeling. Roli expressed okay as the nurse wrote in the book.
"Miss Simar. Are you Roli's sister?" Asked the nurse. Simar nodded yes.
"Well you need to come with me and fill in some forms and pay at the reception."
Simar looked at Roli and said she will be back in a few mins. Roli was still confused at what had happened to her. She had a lot of questions running in her mind, but waited till her sister returned.
AT THE HOSPITAL - SID'S ROOM.
Sid sat upright on his bed. He had no one around him and wad deep in thoughts. A nurse came along who asked about his health. Sid replied he was better than before. Sid's tummy rumbled loud. He was hungry. He looked up at the clock which read 10am.
"It's already past my breakfast time. I better get up and get my breakfast. Sid stood up carefully from his bed and left his room.
IN THE CORRIDOR.
Both Roli and Sid had left their rooms. They were wondering where they could get their breakfast from. Sid asked the nurse where he could get his breakfast from. The nurse offered him to bring his food. But Sid wanted to help himself.
"It's okay. I will get it myself."
He nurse showed Sid the directions and he headed that way. Roli on her own looked around the corridor until she smelt food. She followed the smell and soon reached at the counter.
"Please can I have my breakfast" Roli and Sid overlapped each others words. They looked at each other. Roli's brain started to ping for a moment. 'I've seen him somewhere' she thought to herself. 'Haye rabba. What can I do. Did I have to see her again?' Sid mumbled to his self. The canteen lady walked up to the counter and asked what they wanted. Once again Roli and Sid asked for breakfast at the same time.
"What would you like for breakfast? There's tea, toast and cereal."
"Can I have some tea and toast please" Roli and Sid asked at the same time.
"I'm sorry. There's just enough for one person at the moment. The other has to wait 15 mins." Said the canteen lady.
"Ummm.. not to worry. There's this man. He will wait. You give me the food." Said Roli cheekily.
"Oye. What man. You please give me the food first. I'm more hungry. She will wait." Sid said.
"Huh! I'm taking it first. Ladies first." Ordered Roli.
"What ladies first. There is no lady here. I'm first." Sid laughed.
"Excuse me. Go get your eyes checked." Roli said annoyed.
"You get your brain checked."
The canteen lady put the toast and tea on the table between Roli and Sid. They both looked at the food.
"I've been here longer. I'm taking it." Said Sid as he grabbed the tray with the tea and toast.
"No." Said Roli as she snatched the tray "I've been here longe..."
Roli paused. She didn't know how long she had been here for.
"Hahah why have you stopped for. Because of you I am here. You mad girl" said Sid.
Roli recalled where she had seen Sid. 'Oh yes. He was the one who had the car crash with me.' Thought Roli.
"Remembered?" Asked Sid. "Look what you did to me"
Roli looked at the bandage on Sid's head. She looked at her bandages too.
"Look what you did to me."
Sid looked at the neck bandage on Roli.
"But it all started because of you." Said Sid.
"Excuse me. It was because of..."
"Your breakfast is ready" interrupted the canteen lady. "Please could you stop arguing." She requested.
Roli and Sid stopped. Sid grabbed his tray and Roli already had the tray in her hand. The gave each other a stern look.
They both walked away in opposite directions away from each other.
