Chapter 8Siddhant entered into his room and switched on the light to atleast keep the room bright. He went to have shower and retuned in his causal shorts & sleeveless T Shirt.
He remembered, the T SHirt was purchased by her. When ROli showed this sleeveless T Shirt, he started laughing loudly while Roli got upset.
Roli interrogate 'Siddhant, is this T Shirt that much funny to laugh?'
'Roli remember we are not in Delhi & in this Simla climate if someone look at me wearing this sleeveless TShirt will start laughing more than me' Siddhant answered.
Roli clasp her hands around his neck and said 'Siddhant, this i brought for my Siddhant to wear in our bedroom after your night shower & not to do any ramp walk in front of others to take their comments' giving a glimpse into his eyes.
Siddhant expressed 'Oh! Even in that case, wont you think I feel cool wearing this in night time'
Roli clarified 'Siddhant, firstly i love to see you in sleeveless & secondly i thought let you feel cool'
Siddhant asked 'Roli, So you want me to purposefully to feel cool. But why it is so'
'It is because i am here with you to get rid of your coolness' she replied with a wink and hide her pinky face on his shoulders.
Siddhant gave a weird smile thinking, Roli, but now you are not with me when I am wearing your favorite T Shirt to get rid of this coolness. But it is not your fault at all and it is the result of my own mistake on that day.
Roli went behind Siddhant to the Balcony with a shock on his sudden behavior. She got no words to ask him and just tried to find the answer from his eyes. But unable to get any answer.
Finally she opened her mouth to ask him 'Siddhant, What happend?'
He just nod his head as 'Nothing' without even opening his mouth.
Roli continued 'Is there any problem in the office? Any tension?'
No reply.
Roli was unable to bear this silence any more and turned him towards her.
'Siddhant, Please tell me i cant bear your silence. What is the problem? But you behave strange today' she asked again.
Siddhant finally replied 'I am not strange today, infact you only behave strange'
Roli was utmost shocked to hear this. 'What are you telling? Where did i behave strange?' she questioned with almost tear filled eyes.
Siddhant answered 'Someone in the phone call has become important for you than me'
Roli understood he is angry as she was busy in the phone call when he return from office and got little relaxed that the issue is not major.
Roli wipe her tears and lean on his shoulder and wrap her hands around his waist 'So this is the reason for my dear husband to be angry with me'
Siddhant removed her hands again and moved a little away.
Roli expressed 'Siddhant, are you still angry for this small thing that i did not welcome you. You know i was on phone.'
Siddhant gave an angry look & said 'I am not angry as you did not welcome me & well i saw you were on phone'
ROli was confused 'Then what is the problem. WHy you are angry after knowing that i was on the phone and thats why i did not welcome you'
Siddhant turned him against her and said 'The problem is what & with whom you are talking for hours together forgetting your husband.'
Roli still did not get it serious 'Oh! Feeling jealous that i am talking to someone for hours.' she said back hugging him tightly.
Siddhant took her hands again and turned towards her and gave a chilli angry look at her.
He said 'I never feel jealous. But only wonder who & what makes you to talk secretly as you stopped talking looking at me and went down to kitchen to continue your talk even forgetting a cup of tea for me.'
She still replied with a smile 'Oh Siddhant! I cant tell you what it is. But you can guess who it is. Just try'
Siddhant with a dry look said ''So you want me to guess who that boy friend is'
Roli surprised to hear 'Boy friend! what are you talking?'
Siddhant expressed 'Why are you so much surprised? I dont know his name as you got so many boy friends since college days. How can i guess with whom you were talking? Still if you want to guess, i will list you the names is it Suresh, Rajesh, Ganesh, Rohan...'
Siddhant was keep on telling the names one by one while tears were rolling from her eyes.
Roli exclaimed 'Stop It! Will you please Stop it! I never expect this from you. So you were thinking that i was talking to some boy friend ignoring you and got angry right!!!'
Siddhant replied 'Any husband will get angry & I am not exemption'
Roli with a weird smile 'Yes Siddhant. You are like all others husband with usual qualities unlike what i thought. Can you even imagine where how high place you had all these days in my heart & mind. Now you just fell down from that top to rock bottom also leaving myself broken into pieces'
Siddhant said 'Roli, I too was having your position very high and never though my Roli will do something like that'
Roli exclaimed again 'Please for god's sake, please stop it! dont utter any further word. I cant tolerate. Yes I was talking to someone & that too secretly. But you know with whom & for what.'
Roli showed her phone call log to him which was showing the number of Prem, Siddhant's brother.
Roli continued 'Now you understood who it is! Also now i will clarify you what we were talking. Otherwise you may get doubt what i was talking to your brother too. We were planning to surprise you for your birthday which i coming in 10 days. I went down so that you will not come to know about our surprise planning. But SIddhant I need to admit myself that you have given great surprise of my life which I never expected from you'
Roli burst out to cry while Siddhant was ashamed of what he did.
Siddhant tried in many ways to consol the heart broken Roli and also promised that he will never repeat such mistake in his life, but Roli was unable to come out of that grief, that shock, that jolt given by Siddhant to her heart. She took her bag with few dress and marched out of the house the next day morning to catch some bus to Delhi...
