Meena: Simar.. accompany them to the terrace.

Simar smiled and nodded. She held Roli's arm and Siddhanth followed them.

Roli: Didi.. please do something. How can I face him? I said everything on his face!!

Simar: I told you to be calm but you continued blabbering. Now you have to face him.

Sid: ehem ehem. (He cleared his throat) I'm also here. Simar bhabi.. would you mind leaving please? I would like to talk with my would be wife alone? (Simar Smiled and left)

Roli: would be wife?

Sid: yes, any objection?

Roli: hmmm? No.

Sid: Shall we sit? (He raised his eyebrows)

Roli nodded and sat on the sofa. For her surprise, Siddhanth also sat beside her.

Roli with slow voice: So near already?

Sid: did you say something Roli?

Roli:No.. No. What would I say?

Sid: so.. first of all sorry for ruining your meeting, I didn't knew it's today. About your job and designs.. don't worry, I'm sure you will be selected and invited to Delhi soon. Secondly, I'm not a rich spoilt guy.. I can wait. Thirdly.. I don't need a cook for me but a simple life partner.. just like you.

Roli: umm.. look.

Sid: I'm looking at you only.

Roli: I meant I don't have any problem marrying you but I'm surprised.. a guy like you is asking my hand for marriage like this? (She raised her eyebrows and he looked confused)

Sid: so how should I propose you for marriage?

Roli: wait a minute. (She picked her mobile and played a video.. it was a scene from Sharukh Khan's movie. He was proposing a heroine) I always wanted my would be husband to propose like this! If you will do like this.. I promise. I'll agree for this marriage and marry you right away!

Sid: O..Key.

He got up from the Sofa and fixed his tie while she watched him with her eyes popped out.. is he preparing for a deal? She thought.

He kneel down on the floor and held her hand.

Sid: Will you marry me Roli?

Roli: Will you stay awake with me when I cannot sleep at night?

Sid: yes.

Roli: Will you let me watch cartoons?

Sid: I'll watch them with you.

Roli: When I am in a good mood and will jump around the house like an idiot you will be happy with me?

Sid: I'll tell you that you're stupid, but I'll be happier than you are.
Roli: And when I'm sad?
Sid: I'll make you laugh.
Roli: Will you help me to choose the clothes everyday?
Sid: Ok. I will.
Roli: and when I'll cook something bad?
Sid: I'll eat for you.
Roli (smiling): ask me again.
Sid: Will you marry me Roli?
Roli: yes but you have to sign something.
Sid: after so many questions.. you're still not satisfied?
Roli: No. I'm not.
Roli handled a paper to Siddhanth and he looked at her.
Roli: This is a contract for our marriage. It will remain between us but until you agree for every condition and sign the papers, I won't marry you.
Sid: if that makes you agree for marrying me.. then ok. (He was about to sign when she stopped again)
Roli: Wait. First tell me.. why do you want me to marry you?
Sid: because I like you.
Roli: but we met just once ,that too now. What if after our marriage you don't like me?
Sid: the qualities I wanted in my wife are in you.
Roli: ok but don't sign before reading. I will do that. 1) If you ever hurt me or hit me.. I have the right to file a case against you and get divorce.
Sid: do you think I will ever do that?
Roli: God only knows. 2) You will let me continue my higher studies and job.
Sid: I don't have any problem.
Roli: the last but not the least.. You will NEVER force me to do something I don't wish.
Sid (smiling): I won't.
He took the papers and signed them.
Sid: so.. should I take it as a yes?
Roli: do I have an other option?
She said that and was about to leave when he held her hand.
Sid: Roli.. if you're marrying me because of your parents, then don't.
Roli: No. It's not for them. I don't have any problem in marrying you or any other guy. I fear. I fear to get married.
Sid: fear?
Roli: my best friend. When she got married, her life changed. Her husband forced her to leave studies and job. He used to beat her. (A tear rolled down from her eyes) When she was pregnant, he pushed her and she lost her baby. Later she came to know that her husband pushed her purposely.. because he didn't want a baby girl. She was humiliated at such extent that she committed suicide. She was never like that before. She used to play, dance, sing, scream and what not. And do you know why all that happened with my friend?
Sid: why?
Roli: because her parents asked her to marry that guy. Arranged Marriage. I don't want the same to happen with me. I want to live my life ahead with lots of happiness and success.

She wiped her tears and left the terrace. Yes, that was her biggest fear.

Siddhanth stayed there for a moment to think about the proposal and then left downstairs.

Simar: so Roli.. what have you both decided?

Roli looked at Siddhanth and they shared a small eye lock.

Sid: we'll marry each other.

Roli looked at him a bit surprise.. now there was no chance for her to deny this relation.

Prem: Roli..what about u?

Roli: Erm.. Same here ..

Mataji: So we can fix the engagement for tomorrow. What will u say jamanlal ji? Now I don't want to delay Siddhanth's marriage.

Roli was lost in her own world. She doesn't know what will happen with her. What about her dreams? Will she study and work ahead? A tear rolled down from her eye but she wiped it and ran away from there. All thought she was shy but Siddhanth and Simar knew the reason. She was a bit upset but he was sure.. after marriage, everything will change and they'll live happily forever ahead. He isn't for sure like her friend's husband. He's more matured and can understand her wishes, her needs.

Sid: but Mataji.. I want to wait for sometime before the marriage actually. I mean.. me and Roli don't know anything about each other so..

Mataji: it's fine. I can understand. Maybe we can wait for few months? But till then.. we can fix the marriage place. Jamanlal ji you know everything about us i mean.. we have everything.. everyone in Delhi. If there isn't any problem with you.. we wanted this marriage to take place there.

Jamanlal:No problem Mataji..

After a bit of chit chat.. Bharadwaj family left for their Hotel but before going.. Siddhanth walked to Roli's room.

She was standing near a window.. still in the same saree. He walked to her and stood behind her.. waiting for her to realize he was there.

Roli: You are here?

Sid: I hope you're happy. I know that you won't deny for this marriage but you're only fearing for something.. reasonable. Trust me.. nothing like that will happen. I'll keep you happy forever.

Roli: even he said the same.

Sid (smiling): then wait for our marriage to get to know how I am. How Siddhanth Bharadwaj would be as a husband. I wanted to give you this. (He handled a box to her.. it was wrapped)

Roli: gift for me? (He nodded) what is this?

Sid: Check by yourself

Roli unwrapped the box and was shocked but happy at the same time because he gifted an i-phone to her.. the latest i-phone.
