I think, seeing the clearly divided two sides, that the topic is not who is right - the topic shud be - which personality type do you like and understand more.
Roli stands for a no-nonsense type. She is fun loving, happy go lucky, self sufficient, quick learner kind of girl. She won't unnecessarily mess with someone but won't allow anyone to mess with her either.
Also Roli likes to be blunt. You do something slimy backhanded to her - she will confront you in front of everyone about it. OR she will play a similar trick back on you to say - I can see thru you - don't try that again.
Simar stands for the idealist. She likes to portray a serene, calm, sweet front. Always ready to help everyone with everything. She is ready to believe the best intentions of everyone and has a very high tolerance level for other people's pettiness. She also has very high standards of behaviour for herself and from those she considers her own. She does not believe in an eye for an eye and end up in tears when she feels hurt. She does not like to inflict hurt whenever possible.
Simar is almost a saint and I mean it in a very nice way. Except in this kalyug, this satyugi behaviour does not work very well.
So basically - it depends on which personality type we are and which type do we get along with. If we are the more down-to-earth, no-nonsense type - Roli will appeal to us.
If we have a very accepting and forgiving nature - we may prefer Simar !
I personally happen to understand Roli and cannot relate to Simar 😛
