Suhana's Corner: Shocking revelation, Bade papa returns

Hi everyone, last week, I found out two things about me. That I can lip sync songs with ease and that it isn't tough to apologize to a loved one. And then, I blundered this week and learnt that one should look before you leap. Here's what happened.

After my fight with Ishaan, everyone at home kept telling me that I should cajole him and patch up with him. I realised that Ishaan was right in his anger as I was paying a lot of attention to Khushi. I decided to make it up to him. I pondered about many ways to manao him - by cooking his favourite dishes, with flowers and what not but none of them clicked. Then Meena came up with a plan for me. Incidentally, I lost my voice so the plan fit into place. I decided to appease Ishaan by lip syncing and dancing to his favourite songs. I told Meena to play the song when Ishaan came from office. My Ishaan looks so cute when he is angry. He didn't even ask me about my voice. OMG, how mean! Without much ado, I grooved to Ello main hari piya. At first I felt awkward lip-syncing but it was fun too. The song captured my plight. How convenient it is to find a song that fits your mood and lip syncing to it. Our films sure have enough songs for all occasions. You guys, too, can use this trick to woo your loved ones. In the middle of my performance, the funniest thing happened. Meena kept switching songs from Jalebi bai and back and it ended up seeming quite comical. Ishaan though had a good laugh and my plan worked no matter how much Meena goofed up. Ishaan was happy that I apologized. I too realised that every time it isn't fair to expect him to say sorry. I, too, should be willing to take the first step towards reconciliation. This change in me is cool. I am being mature. Earlier, I would have blamed Ishaan and waited till he said sorry. Well well, I am indeed growing up and it's nice to reflect and observe these changes within myself.

Later I learnt that Inder bhaiya had invited his boss for dinner but I goofed up. I assumed that Inder bhaiya's boss and his wife had come to take Khushi away as they kept asking for her in our street, so I gave them wrong directions to mislead them. While I was happy with my prank as I thought they were Khushi's parents. But I was shocked to know that they were Inder bhaiya's boss. Ishaan was angry with me for the mistake and I too felt bad. But in all fairness, I didn't know that he was Inder bhaiya's boss. He should have taken Inder bhaiya's name not Khushi's while asking for the address. I hope Inder bhaiya doesn't lose his job because of my mistake.

While I was brooding, Dadaji and Dadiji began their nok-jhok as usual and we spoke about what was troubling him. I thought they would suggest some solution to my worries but they ended up fighting and she said she won't make him his favourite dish, Korma. He challenged her that he could make it himself and I got roped in Dadaji's cooking class. Dadaji and I had fun making korma. Dadiji was skeptical and Dadi kept interrupting him. She teased him a lot and he didn't get frazzled at all. I even learnt a lot of words like anshan, khansama, gash, etc. Dadaji didn't know the recipe well and though badi ma wanted to help, he was adamant on making it himself. He is super cool.

Meanwhile Deepak took me to his college to meet the boxing champion he would be fighting. I was impressed with his style and personality and told him to withdraw. But then Sanjana taunted me with family honour and all, so I persuaded Deepak to stay on.

Ishaan was annoyed that dadi and badi ma didn't let him in on their conversation. Even he felt something was wrong and everyone hides things from me. I too feel something is in the air and my premonition came true when Inder bhaiya came to announce that bade papa was in town and Badi ma had gone to meet him without telling anyone. I knew something was wrong, and I even told Ishaan that badi ma was in a lot of tension these days. But it would turn out to be this, I did not imagine. The whole atmosphere at home became somber. I am still trying to come to terms with it and wonder how this will affect badi ma. I hope that it all works out for the best.

I had missed the initial episodes of the show so I am catching up with them on YouTube. You are fabulous and my mother always tells me to be sweet and sophisticated as you.
