I know from experience that the longer you delay forgiving someone the heavier it feels in your heart and mind. It's very hard but then it becomes like a burden on breath. Yes it will be tough but like you, I also want her to forgive him so free herself from the burden and the agony. Forgetting will not be possible as he's the one who did it and him being in front of her will remind her of those horrible lonely days, months, years and decades. Forgiving is tough but it's much easier than forgetting.

Perfectly said. 👏

But is she wearing those symbols for the man who betrayed her or is she wearing for the man she loved?

I honestly think that she wears them specifically for the husband she knew and lived with for the time that they did. For the man who fathered her children. She embedded him in her heart and mind has her "SUHAAG" and I think it's reason she can't take them off.

Sometimes I think even bitter memories (aka symbols) can be good...because for me, when I keep symbols of things that remind me of bad things, I think to why those things were bad, how it affected my life, and what have I learned from it. It reminds me not to make mistakes of other people because then I vividly remember how I was hurt so I won't hurt others the same way. It tells me how I can never stray from my path, especially when I can easily be prone to straying from it.
Man, that sounds kinda masochistic. 🤣

Hmm tough question to answer considering BM's true feelings are still not clear yet.

Well that's very good and that how it should be. Remember God only gives the amount of pain that you can tolerate. The fact you've surpassed those bitter memories shows you are strong and capable of tolerating pain. In a way, pain is good, it keeps you grounded, it makes you appreciate the good things in life and it reminds you that despite all the sad agony, you are still carrying on, you're living, you're learning which mean you are a progressing towards becoming a better human being each time. In life there will be many stories of the good and the bad but what's important that you've remained a good human being throughout and nothing can touch you!
