How on earth are they going to saw that she has a brain tumor when they have not done any of the correct tests at all.

How can a doctor tell a patients medical problem with the family and not the patient herself. I have no idea if that happens in India but in other parts of the world, they don't do that . They want to discuss the matter with the patient and his or her husband or wife.

I have had Brian Tumor and it is not a easy illness. I really hope that they show the true side of the illness. You cannot determine someone has a brain tumor with just blood work.

I don't see any of the symptoms except that she has had a headache. The headache is not just a normal headache. It has pain full. Imagine inside of your head about 20 bombs being exploded all at the same time on top of that you feel like someone is stap you with a knife over and over and over again with 100 knifes in your head. You cannot think straight, You faint, you have seizures, you have problem with your eye sight.

I see Suhanna said that she has a slight headache and she fainted and already they diagnosed her with a brain tumor, it is not that easy. You have to do several tests and MRI to make sure if it is that or something else. She is not having so many of other symptoms like balance problem, walking or speech problem, double vision and the list goes on and on.

I really hope they make this story line more sensible and know that there are people out there that actually are dealing or dealt with this.

Even I am not at all convinced the way they started the BT track.... As i dono what tests they did, i dont wanna comment about how they figured out Suhana has BT....

But regarding telling patient, yes....this happens in India...at least in my state I have scene such scenario where doctors talk with family.....but that doesn't mean that patients have no right to know what their disease is.... but patients' family also meet doctor to know the diagnosis....So its not something new to me.....

I think the CVS showed only mild heaches.. .. if they show true symptoms.. the family members even suhana would find out she is having some problems.. before going to hospital itself that she is not pregnant... So CVS are dramatizing this.. brain tumor and pregnancy .....

In india doctors will tell to family members and particularly husbands even if the patient is not there........

I understand what you guys are saying and Okay in India they might handle the situation like that, but she fainted only one time and had a headache only one time and already they have diagnosed her with Brian Tumor.

As a person who went through this for 4 years of my life and still have to get regular check up and monitor myself to make sure it does not reappear again this is a hard disease on everyone.,

I just want them if they are reading any one of these post to please show the illness like it suppose to be because you could possibly safe someones life.

There are a lot of people who watch these shows and they might have some of the symptoms of a Brain tumor and they are just pushing it as just a normal headache or stress. This show can help a lot of those people to go and get a check up early and possibly safe there live if they can get help early on.

1)they have done a lot of tests which were not shown probably to dramatize things (just we came to knw abt MRI frm deepak's convo with his friend).Again this is illogical since MRI is a critical diagnostic tests requiring pt's written consent,she should be well explained abt the test,why is it done etc before going for the test)

2)In india in such situations its a general thing to inform husband/elders of the family abt pt's illness,she is informed slowly depending on her mental condition

3)regarding the true side of illness we need wait n see if they show something near to reality(we sgpians hav already discussed abt lack of logic when medicalaspects are shown in indian soaps,though we expected sgp to be different the initial part of the track itself is a total letdown)

4)you were very right in describing the symptoms.(i can understand ur pain &wat u have gone through).even i am waiting to see these symptoms(the realside of the illness),suhaana's suffering in well organised manner(ragz being such a fab actress i knw she can justify the role).But we knw why such tracks are brought into serial-to gain sympathy,bring more drama.suhana's symptoms-may be frm this faint headache they'll show the transition slowly and we already knw when the pt comes to knw of her illness then they start showing advanced symptoms(as it happens generally in movies/tv soaps)

we have discussed all these many times,but nothing is in our hands,its all upto cv's n the channel,nw we can just focus on emotional side of track

You are exactly right... People don't give that much attention in some cases but later it may get diagnosed as some thing serious

No...its not once...It happened more than once... We have seen Suhana fainting 3 times... She herself said she gets head ache in between.....At that moment we didn't notice all these as like you said everyone thought she fainted due to tension or suffocation...But every one will remember all those....

I am so sorry to hear that you went thru the same. Hope you are out of it now & I wish you live long life filled with lots of joy.

I am sorry but I don't agree that they are not realistic.

For the Brain Tumor, I am not much aware but this is after all a drama series so, they can't show each & every tits & bits of it. But for me being an educated Viewer they are showing what needs to be shown and yes I am convinced with what they are showing.

If we talk about Headache & fainting... I agree that is severe but here they already mentioned that it's at very early stage. She just started feeling Headache & she fainted once. She fainted for the first time & the next day they went to hospital for check up. So, her illness is on Primary stage & that's what Doctors are saying that it is on very Primary Stage & can be cured.

About the Tests... Yes they have done lot of tests. When Ishaan and Suhana went to Lady Doc for the first time, she felt something wrong & asked for the tests. They did it & went to know the result. Then she had asked for other Tests and they went again for the tests. Remember 2nd time they have showed Both of them sitting on the bench. That day doc again had asked for more tests. And she has given list of tests. For that Ishaan had asked 5000 Rupees & mentioned that he already has 6000 to 7000 rupees. It's a lot of money for normal blood test. So, it is convicing that Tests are expensive. And for MRI. A very big yes. They have mentioned that Suhana was asked to do MRI. Deepak was asking about MRI to his friend. and for MRI Suhana went 3rd time for the tests.

If you have watched last week & this week Epis, just be onservent & u will be able to notice all the points that I have mentioned here.

Lastly, you have said that Outside of India, Doctors consult patient first. Yes I agree. In India too they do that. And they are doing that only. Doctors were not knowing that Suhana will not come with Ishaan to know the result of Tests. Even they have never told anyone to not to bring Suhana with them to Hospital. That happened naturally that Ishaan went directly from Office & other family members were worried so, they went too. Doctors have already said that Suhana needs to know asap. and that's what Kashyaps are doing.

If you say other parts of the world, then let me tell you I live in USA. I live in Apartment at 8th Floor. I see lot of old aged people living in my Apartment & they don't have anybody to take care of them. Last week only a 80 Years old lady asked my husband to open her apartment window coz she can't do that...

In that case I wud say we are lucky to have family. In other parts of World Doctors want to discuss with the patient coz in most cases they don't have any relatives who will be bothered to come to Hospital. (don't take me wrong here. It might not for all cases but I am just saying what I have seen so far)

It's not easy for a patient to handle such a big issue alone & sometime Patient get scared without knowing that he or she can be cured. If I wud have been at Suhana's place I can't think anything else other than that M I dying?? so, they going right. Generally they do tell Husband or Parents so, at least family can be prepared for Moral support to the patient & stand by for the situation.

This is just my view what's happening. and trust me be positive for what they are showing. That will help a lot. Just see the good side that what we can learn for our life from the Kashyaps. Kashyaps are very positive & strong hearted & we need to be the same while watching this track.

Exactly.... This is the main reason.....Its all personal in most of the places on earth...Every one need privacy...But I completely hate that.... At least in such condition family should be with you all the way....At least to say some thing good....

i agree they are not being realistic at all, but from wat i know of indian healthcare system...doctors dont care much about informing the patients, it's all about family. They inform the families and then it's their isssue to tell the patients which is completely not how it works in western countries.

As for the tests, they kept saying they are doing many tests and if i remember correctly, they def did the MRI of brain which is def a strong test in diagnosing the brain tumor.

Actually frankly, this show is being much more realistic compare to other indian shows in terms of tests and all. But yes, Suhana is not having any probable signs and symptoms. headache, like u said is usually excruciating. But that also depends on where the tumor is. I know of a person who pretty much had the same signs as suhana, mild headache which that he ignored till finally decided to go to a doctor and found out it was a brain tumor.

So i am personally happy with some wat sensetivity they are showing to the track.
