Hey everyone!
How's it going? It is Thursday March 24, 2011 morning and we're supposed to be in the beginning of spring season but looks like we're still in winter. Anyway, I did not start this post to talk about weather and who wants to talk about crappy weather anyway.
Anyway!!! I was curious about why do you guys/gals watch SGP?
Since I started this post, I will start with answering my own question.
- I watch it because when I watch SGP, I go to bed with a smile on my face. This not only makes me sleep well but I also get pleasant dreams. It's better than having "I wonder what the saas will do to her bahu in tomorrow's episode" thought right before going to bed. We all have some sort of dramas going on in our lives and with other shows (no offence to the fans of other shows), I always wonder that since we all have our fair share of dramas going on in our lives, so why do we need to be worried about someone else dramas? And that too for someone who doesn't even know that I exist!!!"
- SGP is different from other shows, not only in terms of putting a smile on one's face, but also in terms of vamps. I mean there's not one person in this show that's plotting against another one. I mean other than Panna's MIL, but she doesn't plot against her, she just doesn't like her; which is normal. I mean, you don't have to like everyone in your life.
- And SGP doesn't waste 5-10 minutes of having that shocking sequences in each episode.
- And SGP members don't talk to themselves.
- Most importantly, I watch SGP because it teaches you about love and happiness. Even Panna and her MIL's relationship is teaching us that not everyone in your life will love you and not everyone in your life will smile with you, but the best way to deal with it is through a smile. It's teaching us that there is more power in a smile than there is in a frown because it's a smile that will help you win anything in this world and frown will keep you away not only from the person you dislike, but also from those who you love. Plus it's easier to smile at others than to frown.
I don't know who, but someone in this forum has the following saying to their signature:
"Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny."
And this is so true.
So now that I have listed why I watch it, please share your answers with others as I'm sure there are other curious members too on this forum who wants to know why SGP?
Agreed dear. Everything you've said is so true. So nicely put. I loved the fact that all the actors play their part so naturaly, no matter how good the wirting is, if the actors fails to perform then good writing is wasted. Great acting makes the scenes more believable, you get to feel and understand them, their predicaments, their sorrows, joys and their battles. Such high quality writing (most scenes) and classy performances makes it more relatable which is why I find myself glued to the TV when SGP is on.
I never thought I would be so attatched to a FICTIONAL programme. I used to laugh at the thought of being a relgious fan of any serial, but then when SGP came along, I have become addicted. Even in its worst phase I continued to watch because for me even then it was better than the rest.
I thoroughly enjoy all the dialogues they say, they are all so simple, yet so true, yet so effective. Okay, I'll stop now because I could go on and on and you'll get bored....😆
